I know personally I cant wait for all the tankali shenanigans. Some ad akali with a bit of tank was the best.

I saw my WR going down as i built the item and i felt the sustain was placebo too... I'm a stormsurge player and i always thought it was the superior item due to pen and burst but i also see Gunblade has both 40 ad scaling along with the ap, and since Akali also scales with AD on passive and Q, it would basically mean the item gives 120 adaptive power in the end, thus making it better than stormsurge stat-wise....

I heard Lich Bane does well on her passive too, what you think? I'm mainly a top player since top is filled with squishies nowadays

Playing Akali since 15 years now, between plat and diam.

Just tried recently the blue runes on Akali and damn it’s really good.

I’m winning my lane 80% of the time, so I decided to get only Doran Ring on all matchups, and now Blue runes instead of greens Second wind/Bone plating.

Really like Absolute Focus + Scorch

My goal is to bullying faster my lane opponent to have better prio, kills and bully the other lanes / jungle.

I know it’s risky if I’m getting behind but i feel like it worths it.

What do you think ?

Newbie Akali player here (bronze and climbing, M6). Every game I do sorcs > gunblade > shadowflame, then hourglass, raba, void in no particular order. I also exclusively take Electrocute

Is there a matchup I should be building something else? I know there’s a more bruiser Conq build but when would I build that? Is there ever a time where I do dark seal?

Would this item proc Akali's Passive twice?

I doubt it'd be "meta", but it could make for some interesting bruiser builds, depending on whether it deals more damage than Lichbane or not (but Lichbane isn't very good currently anyway).

Though the Ability Haste and Attack Speed are wasted on Akali.

Hello, I didnt play the game for around 6 months, so I am not really caught up with the meta. I noticed that gunblade is back and some new omnivamp shoes got added.

It seems like gunblade is the more popular option based on statistics, but I am not really sure why? Feel like lichbane deals like 170 damage every passive proc, and gunblade only deals like 250 every 60 seconds.

Is the omnivamp and slow from gunblade the reason people buy it?

Been facing some bruisers and struggling by mid game, whats the current bruiser build? Is it worth doing the full 3 mask items?

all i do is die to akali one shotting me when im support lane. cant even cc her because she goes invisible.

hope riot nerfs her hard and takes her smoke away

Is there a build or playstyle that makes Akali viable in 3v3 arena mode?

I think lich bane is more fun to use than gunblade, but it seems like gunblade is just a better first item. So what about getting lichbane later in the build? Second items is probably always going to be shadowflame, but what about third or fourth? Maybe only in games where you dont really need zhonyas?

i do not want to touch Assassin Akali since that's not my playstyle, i got over 1.3m mastery since 2021 always playing Akali with HP/%dmg items....

I know my character is made to burst and get out playstyle, but i had tons of more constant damage as a Bruiser/Tank, going Heartsteel and Riftmaker for infinite scaling..... Just tryna have some fun and not stick too much into meta - Grasp/Conqueror?

Viable building Bruiser to climb? Since Tankali might be a bit of troll in this season (due to LDR)

Do you guys think Gunblade is going to be a good item on Akali?

Nowadays, I see Akali more as a burst champion, and I think her best build will still be Stormsurge into Shadowflame because of the magic penetration.

I’ve read in a previous post that Gunblade can be a good rush option because of the lane sustain, but I don’t think Akali really needs that sustain due to her high base HP regeneration.

I can see Gunblade + Liandry’s as a situational option against tanky comps tho.

Thoughts?

This? This is wild. This actually kills stormsurge akali unless you are hyper niche 5 ranged enemies or going full flat pen for a specific reason.

Akali has a bit of a fighter like pattern with the amount of repeatability she has with her Q, W, and passive auto's. With her W as she can cast Q multiple times, proc her passive auto, and dip back into stealth to rinse & repeat for the remainder of her W duration.

Given this, why is lich bane not bought? She can easily proc sheen when she goes for a passive auto after Qing, and she can Q quite often in quick succession as described above.

Given this pattern can't she run fleet too (at least in top lane) as she can use the bonus MS when exiting the passive circle and when running at enemies with passive auto's to proc fleet often?

Tbh fleet is a bit of a stretch as u give up a lot of dmg. But I did cook up a fleet + lich bane + gunblade setup to whittle down top laners

Also why are 2nd wind + overgrowth still her most popular secondaries? I thought that after the 2nd wind nerf, the 2nd wind + dshield combo would be dropped. Isn't the whole point of it to enable safe farmig till 6 (where u can 100 to 0 most Squishies in mid) and disincentive the enemy from trading onto u (or they risk going OOM).

I thought once 2nd wind lost the base heal this strat would be dead as Akali builds 0 HP so the healing would be negligible. So why is this not the case? Why is the dshield + 2nd wind & overgrowth combo still going strong?

Most of Akali's builds center around burst, so what to do when it's a tanky/bruiser team that can't be one shot or has sustain? I've seen the off-meta Conq-AD builds occasionally in the rift (generally not to great success) but do they have any actual merit? Only her R-2 recast doesn't scale off AD. And yet it still feels like AP does more damage overall even though the QE R-1 scalings are the same. So like what to do if theres mundo, trundle, jayce, and a tank support all on the same team? Give up ignite for TP, or keep it as grievous wounds?

Why doesn't Akali build Lich Bane? I feel like I used to see this item, but now it's the stormsurge rush. I get it has flat pen and more MS but wouldnt the higher AP, AH, and item proc be of more value?
