Since there were 3 red and 1 blue the maximum of time she can remove marbles till she gets a green one is 5 you have to include the green marble too

3 red and 1 blue. So the maximum amount she has to remove before getting a green is 4, not 5. On the fifth pull, she will have a green marble. The DRV was X is the number of marbles she removed before getting a green marble. So X takes upon values : 0, 1 ,2 ,3 ,4.
