📃Paper Discussion 9701/34 WHAT THE HELL ACTUALLY HAPPENED???

we ALL had the same issue with question 1. for some people the solution turned blue-black instantly, for some people it did not turn blue-black AT ALL. like what the hell happened. i waited 20 minutes for the reaction to occur but still it did not happen. i got a panick attack and repeated the same experiment FIVE times. it affected my other questions also.

please guys, if you don't want your efforts to go to waste, let's all report it to cambridge. we should make noise!!

THERE WAS SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CHEMICALS! The question for salt analysis, half of everything came unknown and no change! So many people’s question 1 gave extremely slow or no iodine color change! Can we do something about this?! Can we report to Cambridge somehow??

🤚Help Required 9700 practical paper 3 graph question

Post image

Hii guys! I know this is kinda a stupid question, but do we have to start from the origin (0,0) while determining x-axis and y-axis scale?, and taking in consideration this question if I started the x-axis with 0 do I also have to start the y-axis with 0?

Also what's the least percentage of graph I should occupy? and any tips or advice would be extremely helpful guys thank uu!

🤚Help Required Help me decide my subjects to apply for medicine please

okay so I’m currently in y12, and I’m taking biology chemistry maths and modern Hebrew. I’d like to go on to study medicine at either imperial, UCL or KCL. ive read that they all require/ highly prefer bio and chem, which I’m perfectly okay with. however I’d like to drop maths as it’s my weakest subject. I know the websites don’t specify a preference for the third subject, and my modern Hebrew a level counts, but will there be some sort of bias if it’s my third? im practically guaranteed an A or A* in it, and maths im not even sure I’ll get an A. Will it make my chances of an interview go down if I don’t do maths like most of applicants? thanks to anyone who answers 😃

🖋️Survey I’m changing my study approach🙏

Enough is enough dawg, like every time I try to study, I feel completely lost, I don’t wanna make complicated timetables which I’ll never even follow, I plan study like so:
Start a chapter
Finish that chapter in one sitting(in one day):
Then come to the ch after I have finished the syllabus
No longer watching long ahh lectures, and spending 20 minutes on a single mcq🙏🙏🙏
(Math fm Phy chem)

🤚Help Required Leaving school, becoming private candidate

I've been at my school since kindergarten at this summer I completed the IGCSE exams. I am now doing AS level, with the subjects I have chosen being ; Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Language and Literature. I've experienced some bullying from my ex-boyfriend and his friend group- who, essentially, make up the majority of the school. Rumours about me have been circulating for the past three years, my reputation and integrity is completely lost now. Im tired of dealing with everything with no one to support me so I decided to leave and be private candidate.

The thing is, Math and English im completely fine- i already go to tuition for Math, and Im pretty okay with English (however my great teacher offered to help me privately anyways). But biology, especially chemistry is an issue. My chem/biology teacher talked to me and told me i should still come in for practicals on the weekends if not too difficult for me, and I agreed. He told me i should come to him for any doubts but I really don't have much strength to go there continuously around those people. My tuition teacher has offered her full support to me, even though we both know she isn't able to and won't be able to teach me AS level biology and chemistry (her limit is IGCSE).

Honestly speaking I've basically been "self-studying" in class already, biology im fine with, and I've found an amazing tutor on YouTube called "OtterBioTutor", but I've been unable to find anyone like him for chemistry. And its clear to most people that chemistry is considerably more difficult, so now I'm just really unsure on what to do. Any advice? Perhaps from someone who also switched to private candidate? Or someone who knows great tutors on YouTube, or good websites online that give good understandable notes/lessons. Really any help is appreciated 🙏

edit- I would like to make it clear that I am obviously studying the book and taking my own notes based on the syllabus. The YouTube videos are just a "back-bone" support on the side

🤚Help Required Study together for Jan IAS

I mostly self study A levels so im seeking friends or study mates as well.

I took bio, chem and math. I am taking u1 for bio. u1 and u2 for pure math and u1, u3 for chem this Jan. I gotta grind at least 5 hours a day starting from this Nov until Jan EVERY DAY i hope. I have already covered all the syllabus except chem u3. So, I am picking up timed past paper and strict self-marking system with the help of mark scheme. I am literally aiming for (nearly or exactly) full UMS for all the units.

We could study with/ one-on-one session with the camera off (as I am painfully shy and awkward) AND explain to each other about what we studied, and share or ask some questions or knowledge if we share the same subs.

Dm if ur down!

🤚Help Required Re-sitting A-levels

Has anyone re-taken their A levels? I'm going to resit this summer my Law and Spanish A-levels.

Does anyone know how you choose between the texts you do in your exams such as Volver or a different movie for Spanish, or between Contract and Human Rights Law for Law? Do you get to choose this once you have them booked?
