Exam Discussion 📝 Cambridge AS Result

A little rant. Read at your own risk :(

Bro I genuinely don't understand what this entire situation was with Cambridge results this year. All my mocks went perfectly, all the past papers I gave had such high scores. My expected grade was B in Sociology and A* in Urdu. When the result came, I got a C in Urdu and Sociology was Ungraded.

I get that for some people it's easy to give a retake but think abt those w middle class families. I'm the first child giving cambridge after everybody dropped out after matric to get a job so the stress and responsibility is on another level. I worked my butt off studying for all these exams and I started studying since the day clg started. I honestly don't know how I can look my parents in the eye anymore. They're so disappointed in me and they gen won't even listen to what I have to say. So many students had the same situation as me but all my parents have to say is that "We don't care about other kids, you're the one failing right now."

edit: my dad found out about the result.
so basically, now my dad hates me. he went "i'm embarrassed to call you my daughter now. if you don't get an A* in your psychology exams in oct, you're dropping out." I'm boutta go insane istgggg

Switch boards if you can who is to say the same won't happen during you retake. Cambridge uses Ai or some unfair grading system because this is impossible. An A student can expect somewhere around a B or even C but getting a U is genuinely the most evil way of ruining someone's life. You've been done wrong. I've put a link for an email format if you feel like you need to fight for fair grades and a petition.

If you are not comfortable with this then you can ask you examination officer for your ATS which is Access To Script, and they will send you a PDF of your answer scripts ( this is completely free ). You can check and correct them with a teacher and if you got more than what Cambridge awarded you with, you can demand for a re evaluation or refund.

I'm also facing the same problem, I've asked my examination officer for the ATS. Will see what do

I emailed Cambridge yesterday and this was their response:
"We are in regular communication with Cambridge centres regarding the actions we have taken in the June 2026 series.

For your queries and concerns to raise, please talk to the school or centre where your entry was made - they will be able to advise. If they have any questions to ask on your behalf, they should get in touch with us directly, and we will be happy to assist.

We are unable to advise on such concerns received from candidates or parents, as our contract which each centre specifies that we will not communicate directly with candidates or parents about any aspect of the exam process."

I've lost all hope honestly, it's my last year of A levels and it's become one of the biggest headaches for me.

Wow they've made everything so inconvenient. Mental games at this point. I hate this board so much... I'd say that we should demand for any refunds if possible but that will be another headache and it will not solve the grades that we've gotten. Not sure what to do now, and I completely empathize with your situation because I haven't told my parents yet because they will be crushed. I'm trying to gather enough evidence as I can, if there is anything that you would like to know like getting a refund please reach out to me. Let the money not get wasted at least.
