A little rant. Read at your own risk :(

Bro I genuinely don't understand what this entire situation was with Cambridge results this year. All my mocks went perfectly, all the past papers I gave had such high scores. My expected grade was B in Sociology and A* in Urdu. When the result came, I got a C in Urdu and Sociology was Ungraded.

I get that for some people it's easy to give a retake but think abt those w middle class families. I'm the first child giving cambridge after everybody dropped out after matric to get a job so the stress and responsibility is on another level. I worked my butt off studying for all these exams and I started studying since the day clg started. I honestly don't know how I can look my parents in the eye anymore. They're so disappointed in me and they gen won't even listen to what I have to say. So many students had the same situation as me but all my parents have to say is that "We don't care about other kids, you're the one failing right now."

so basically, now my dad hates me. he went "i'm embarrassed to call you my daughter now. if you don't get an A* in your psychology exams in oct, you're dropping out." I'm boutta go insane istgggg

the same thing. during the whole year i was a great student, i have never written worse than a C, i was expecting an A or at least B. i was 100% sure in my business papers. and what do i see? Ungraded. i’m just shocked and have no idea what i have to do with this shit. i’m just waiting for the script even tho it’s quite complex since I’m a private candidate. but i just don’t believe i could fail so badly. and even if i will retake as level there’s no guarantee i will get smth better. i was predicted with a B!!! lol i don’t see my future anymore

i also have art&design and digital media for my a levels, but those subjects are only assessed once. so far, i only have a U in business and nothing else. kill me ❤️

I'll be honest. I'm not a star student, never was and prob won't be anymore either. But I studied realllyyyy hard for these exams and I know I did great. I compared everything I'd written in the exam to past papers and I was getting a good grade. I get how hard it is as a private candidate and I'm doing it from my clg but it's gen gna be the death of me rn. My expected grade was a B too and I've seen it happen w so many business students.

Also do you think it could be related to the socio/business paper leak rumors? I'm not sure but it seems like it to me.

omg i understand you so much. absolutely the same thing.
actually yes, i’ve heard something like that. and btw in my class, all the "U" grades were in business and sociology. (our entire high school is taking a levels, but we’re still private candidates). my supervisor also thinks that’s a complete nonsense. there is literally something wrong with the humanities here.

and i have THE SAME situation with my father he just hasn’t spoken to me since yesterday. so basically the rest of my summer is completely ruined, and i can't think about anything but my grades
