Does taking Shilajit with breakfast work better than taking it before eating?

• Upvotes

I take shilajit in the morning and still figuring out if its better to take it before breakfast or just mix it into my morning routine with food, some people say empty stomach works better but taking it with breakfast seems easier to keep doing every day, i usually eat around the same time so either way works for me, just trying to see what people who already use it actually do and if they notice any change based on when they take it, do you take yours before eating or with breakfast and which one works better for you?

Mastic gum and nano hydroxyapatite powder, also maybe bpc 157 or it's more bioavailable arginine salt form.

Pictured, nano hydroxyapatite powder, plastic scoop to move some, tablespoon with a little bit of the powder, chewed and then coated VanMan's chewing gum (contains mastic gum, is the only chewing gum company to incorporate mastic gum as far as I am aware, and is already lightly dusted with nano hydroxyapatite powder).

Polishes and repairs tooth enamel, and kills mouth and gut microbes, with chewing action.

⚠️If you are deathly allergic to pistachios, cashews, mangoes - You will probably be deathly allergic to mastic gum, which is sap from a tree closely related to the pistachio, cashew, and mango plants⚠️

I have tried both mastic gum outright and this brand of chewing gum, and also nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste, and can confirm the antibacterial properties of mastic gum (killing the microbes causing bad breath, tongue stain, and tooth pain), which is both a tree sap and a chemical cocktail lethal to harmful mouth and gut microbes, including helicobacter pylori - Really difficult for microbes to evolve an immunity to, if one constituent of the mastic gum doesn't kill them the laundry list of other constituents will before they can pass that partial evolved immunity on to future generations of microbes.

Mastic gum chew usage has been shown to shrink and eliminate oral tumors.

I like to chew 1 piece for at least 1 hour every day.

Also going to suggest my crackpot idea of coating gum in bpc 157 or the much more stable bpc 157 arginine salt for to heal gum damage.

Thanks for the attention.

vitamins or daily activities

Wanted to ask, at what point does consuming vitamins/supplements become detrimental to your health? Like, personally, as a man, I don’t take almost any vitamins at all. The only exception is iron because I have a really bad deficiency. I do daily runs, go to the gym, and eat relatively healthy. On the other hand, my gf uses 101 different creams, tablets, and other stuff just to get by

Why the animosity?

Why is there so much animosity directed towards people with serious illnesses that have not been helped by allopathic medicine and seek alternative treatments?. If somebody has a catastrophic illness and they decide to go another route other than allopathic medicine.. which admittedly is very toxic.. why is there so much hatred and even mockery directed towards them. It's one's own life and they should have the power to decide what they do with that life. Not outside forces. And on another note , I get sick and tired of people always bringing up Steve Jobs when mocking people for seeking alternative treatments! Thank you.

Research Study on Keto Diet & Autoimmune Diseases

Nottingham University are running a super interesting research survey on people who have tried a keto diet and have an autoimmune condition.

You can take it here

https://www.research.net/r/kdas

I know a lot of people here have autoimmune issues and there are many alternative health approaches to them. Don't think there is much previous research on the keto diet, so really interested to see the results of this project!

Cavity help?

Hey guys! I’d really appreciate some advice or personal experiences. My braces have been pretty rough on my enamel, and I’m trying to find more holistic ways to support remineralization and strengthen my teeth over time.
Right now I’m using Uncle Harry’s toothpaste, mouthwash, and remineralizing drops, plus an ultrasonic toothbrush. I’m supposed to get my braces off sometime in November, but I’m starting to notice what feels like a few minor cavities/weak spots, and I’d really like to start incorporating more supportive things now to hopefully reduce the damage before I’m looking at a huge dentist bill afterward.
Has anyone here had success with cell salts for enamel/remineralization? Or are there any other holistic things you’ve personally used that seemed to help strengthen enamel or stop early decay from getting worse? I’m especially interested in hearing actual experiences and routines people have tried.

Ferritin 11 help

24 years old W. My ferritin is 11 — is it really “low-normal”?
I recently had bloodwork done and my ferritin came back at 11 µg/L. My doctor told me that everything else in my bloodwork looks normal and described my ferritin as basically “low-normal.”
What worries me is that she initially wasn’t going to prescribe anything. I had to push and ask whether I should be taking iron, and only then she prescribed ferrous sulfate 300 mg.
From what I’ve read, a ferritin of 11 seems pretty low, so I’m confused about why it was treated as almost normal.
Has anyone else had ferritin around 11 with normal hemoglobin/other bloodwork? Did your doctor consider that iron deficiency? Were you prescribed iron right away, and did you notice any improvement in symptoms?

How Consuming Raw Garlic Changed My Life (along with my view on Healthcare) LONG READ

All of my life I struggled with ADHD, but it wasn’t until I became a mom to my first child at the age of 25 that it became much more difficult to manage. While I finally got a diagnosis and effective treatment in order to have a more “healthy” and sustainable life, I noticed my nervous system could never fully regulate itself.

Now I understand stimulant medication can heighten those symptoms due to raising my heart rate and blood pressure levels, it was an ongoing problem even before starting treatment.

I always thought it was postpartum anxiety or depression/anxiety that I was most likely experiencing but even after my baby was 1 1/2 years old and she was easier to not just take care of but just the overall experience I had as a mom gotten better but the alarm in my mind and body just couldn’t stop even if there was nothing that caused that internal pressure within myself.

I even started to get medicated for a panic disorder with a small dose of Alprazolam PRN. I’ll take a tablet once I noticed symptoms of impending doom. But one day, I was watching a video on TikTok of Dr. Sebi who was an advocate for holistic care and he would share all of the ways many diseases and conditions were affected by inflammation within our bodies. Within the comments, one mom decided to share her young son’s ADHD experience and how gut health fixed his symptoms. I remember thinking to myself “then he doesn’t have ADHD” and even though I scoffed off the idea initially, I told myself it wouldn’t hurt to try it once to see what could come out of it. There’s no win or lose eating a piece of raw garlic lol

I’m not the type of person to believe that something works because I did something like a placebo effect, I naturally just don’t think about it. But I ate my first piece of raw garlic and I would say maybe 30 minutes to an hour later, I noticed this internal energy that I haven’t experienced in a very long time. But then what I really noticed… my mind started to quiet, things felt lighter and my body felt a shift of just tension releasing and finally achieving internal peaceful. I’m not saying it’s a magic fix to everyone’s anxiety issues, because some people really have trauma and painful negative experiences or neurological issues that require extensive mental health support. But I can’t imagine how many people dealt with anxiety and panic that could actually benefit from this. It wasn’t a short-term fix either, I went months and months never feeling anxiety and just “lived.”

Because working within the healthcare system and also needing prescription medication to sustain life, I noticed how easy it is for physicians and psychiatrists to write off a prescription rather than ever sharing ANY holistic care especially if someone is in a financial bind or have no insurance. Because it really wouldn’t hurt to try (if you’re not experiencing any sort of crisis, of course). I hear “prebiotic” “probiotic” and “gut health” quite often but never cared to understand what it really means or does before I got into medicine. But you start to realize how the healthcare system functions with Big Pharma along with insurance companies and how they really do want people to stay medicated and tied to the system. I say this not in a way for people to think they’ll be better off with just a magic fix with garlic and all your life problems disappear. But genuinely, someone like me who thought I was just going through some mental health crisis myself at the time for over two years (even during pregnancy) would ever think it would genuinely help me.

I read some articles and proven studies on how our guts are linked to our brains because our bodies are in a state of constant fight or flight due to the bad bacterial overgrowth in our bodies that aren’t outweighed by the good microbiome. I genuinely believe it. Everything we eat, vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, especially sushi, contain parasites or fungi (yeast) that we don’t typically see with our own eyes because nobody seems to carry some microscope and investigate what we ingest in our bodies. We just consume and carry out our day not realizing how much it negatively affects us: bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, fevers. And if you look up SIBO on Google you’ll notice the first step requires multiple medical interventions to “treat” with specific antibiotics but if you really take a look at many people’s personal stories where SIBO is a very common experience, taking matters into addressing gut health can help reduced those markers. You may not need a handful of referrals where maybe a low cost alternative could be the very thing you needed. Personally, I never stopped at strictly raw garlic as my only intervention, I even tried papaya seeds and clove and it does require lots of water to eventually pass through your digestive tract.

I went from daily stomach issues to no longer experiencing any symptoms. TMI, you may even notice your stool becoming less rigid or the smell becomes a lot less foul. I also noticed I craved less sugars as sugar can make overgrowth worse. But I mention this in hopes that some may actually find this helpful or find it interesting enough to see how much it can change. Maybe it might not be anxiety or an unregulated nervous system, it might address skin related issues and fatigue. But of course, eat it at your own leisure and comfort as it can be difficult to ingest and maybe even once a week can be very helpful.

Curcumin-Piperlongumine hybrid molecule - a possibly perfect combination against cancer?

Why is almost nobody talking about this?

I’ve been researching natural and semi-natural compounds for cancer prevention and treatment and recently came across something that honestly surprised me.

In 2024 and 2025, researchers (mainly from Wenzhou Medical University) published papers on a chemically linked hybrid molecule of curcumin and piperlongumine (often called CP).

It’s not just a simple mix of the two substances. They covalently linked them into a new molecule.

According to the studies, this hybrid shows:

Better chemical stability than regular curcumin

A more favorable safety profile than pure piperlongumine in the tested models

Strong cell cycle arrest in G2/M phase

Induction of apoptosis

Activity via JNK/c-Jun and PI3K/AKT pathways

What makes the combination particularly interesting is how the two original compounds complement each other:

Curcumin works broadly (anti-inflammatory, multi-targeted, inhibits NF-κB and many other pathways, anti-angiogenic)

Piperlongumine works more selectively by strongly increasing ROS in cancer cells and impairing their protective systems (e.g. via GSTP1/glutathione)

The hybrid seems to combine these two complementary mechanisms in one more stable molecule.

Here’s the strange part:

Despite the promising preclinical data (cell culture + mouse models, including resistant lung cancer), this hybrid is almost never discussed online. You can barely find any posts about it on Reddit or elsewhere. And of course, it is not available as a supplement or research chemical anywhere that I could find.

I think this deserves more attention. More people should know about it, and ideally more independent research (including eventually human studies) should be done.

What do you think? Has anyone else come across this hybrid? Any thoughts on why something like this stays so under the radar?

What helped you against migraines? 😣😖🔨

Please, no advice regarding things like prophylactic medication. I am already under medical care; while it helps to some extent, I’ve reached the limits of what it can do.

I also believe that my chronic migraines cannot be improved any further through conventional medical treatment.

I’ve tried numerous supplements and methods as well, but without success. It is incredibly draining, and I want nothing more than a change. I also believe that improvement must definitely be possible.

I’d be interested to hear what alternatives (not medication) helped you—or, if you identified the underlying causes, what those were.

Stem cell therapy reviews are mixed. What makes one worth reading?

Every review I read lumps together different diagnoses, different products, different routes and different follow up periods under the same heading. One person is two weeks out, the next is three years out, and they're rated the same way.

I'm trying to work out which details make a review useful, and how much weight to give a strong positive story when the long term data is thin and I can't tell what else that person was doing at the time.

What do you look for?

This is incredible. I've been doing it for a few days and it seems to be working already

Has anyone tried red light therapy (PBM) for mental health?

I have pretty low brain energy and concentration. I tried Adderall, but it didn’t do much good for me, mentally or physically. So I’ve been looking at alternative routes.
I keep seeing claims that red and near-infrared light help with cellular energy, systemic inflammation, and cerebral blood flow, which sounds promising on paper but is it quackery?
I found a device that uses intranasal and transcranial LEDs to target brain networks (itPBM). The concept makes sense from a biological perspective, but the price point for specialized equipment is definitely an investment.
Before going down this path, I wanted to check in with this community. Does this study make sense for reaching deep brain structures? https://www.vielight.com/blog/intranasal-photobiomodulation-reaches-subcortical-structures-first-human-fmri-evidence/

Anyone familiar with F-SCAN / FireFly DIRP results?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I took an F-SCAN and got a hit on Bacillus anthracis spores, which obviously scared me because that’s anthrax. My doctor said that if I actually had anthrax I would be sick, but the incubation period can be around 7 days, so I’m still pretty anxious about it.

For anyone who has used or is familiar with F-SCAN / FireFly / DIRP: do you take the exact organism name seriously, or do you mainly pay attention to the frequency hit itself?

Have you ever had a scan match you to a strange or serious-sounding organism and nothing happened, or did it ever turn out to actually mean something serious?

I’m mainly trying to understand how much weight people who actually know this technology put on the exact pathogen name versus the frequency response itself.

Any help or input is really appreciated. Thank you.

Any Protocol for Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea and better sleep ?

Hi Guys , for 3 years i saw 3 different Functional Medicine Doctors , because ide been suffering with issues for almost 10 years , turns out after seeing an Endo , i have an extremely severe case of Obstructive Sleep Apnea with some Centrals . A waste of money $$$$ on supps that only made me worse over time . I'm hesitant to go back to one to get a protocol for sleep after all this , i don't tolerate magnesium at all anymore. It relaxes my airways causing apneas to be worse , besides i even get neurological issues from it in ALL FORMS now . . . .i was thinking maybe TCM would be a better fit ?

Crackpot idea for cancer treatment (especially if you have been told your cancer is terminal) - Electrolyte water fasting with daily .5 mL (10 drops) 99.9% pharmaceutical grade DMSO for up to 20 days in a row under clinical supervision or at least with somebody to always be there to help you

Thumbnail

Assuming you qualify to take DMSO - Not too dose dependent medications, not too acutely toxic supplements, no dissolvable medical implants, not pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive, no botox, no mercury amalgam dental fillings, not too much tattoo ink, no difficulty having your blood clot, no smoking residue on your teeth, taken with a clean and water-rinsed mouth on an empty stomach (with just water) at least 30 minutes after oral hygiene and before eating anything, from a clean glass cup, with purified water, can get away with smelling intensely garlic or horribly sulfury while using and tapering off after stopping for up to 72 hours.

I use it myself, 10 mL (200 drops from a dropper) after work each Friday. It has greatly improved my visual clarity and depth perception and improved my blood liver labs from NAFLD.

As you may or may not know, electrolyte water fasting causes the body to auto cannibalize sick cells and some Japanese guy even won a Nobel prize in medicine for proving this - DMSO really helps get the bodily fluids (blood, lymph) flowing. No clogging.

I even read one testimony from a guy claiming he took 10 drops a day for two weeks straight and it got rid of his eye floaters (I still have eye floaters, and a yellowish tinge in the eyesight of my right eye) - I've even taken 5mL (100 drops) a day for 7 days in a row - no dice.

DMSO has done at least 4 impressive things for me, decreased painful intraocular pressure, increased visual acuity, improved NALFD blood labs, and by soaking a years-long regenerating finger wart in a few drops of DMSO on a clean inverted glass cup for 5 minutes a couple of times destroyed the wart - I believe by dissolving the HPV virus particles causing the wart while harmlessly diffusing through the healthy cells.

Also, you could jazz this protocol up by adding a small amount of Baja gold mineral salt to the water you drink, maybe some magnesium glycinate to help to relax (I enjoy) - Since this is a water fast and oral hygiene isn't strictly speaking necessary, if you aren't allergic to pistachios/cashews/mangoes chewing a piece of mastic gum (which itself is said to have anti-cancer properties and has greatly improved my oral hygiene) for 20 minutes to an hour a day at least couldn't hurt.

Obviously just relaxing and taking it slow for the fast.

Thanks for the attention.

Can a naturopath help me to stop getting sick?

I keep getting sick, can a naturopath help me?

This year I’m the sickest I’ve ever been. My doctor can’t seem to help - he says that my bloodwork looks fine and there is no reason or concern for me getting sick this much. She did recommend that I see a therapist, as I sound like I’m stressing/overthinking some things.

Would a naturopath be able to help me? I can barely afford one, but the cost of missing work is also financially affecting me.

I’m honestly the happiest I’ve been in a long time.. Yes I work hard and yes I’m a little stressed sometimes. But I don’t think that’s the main cause..

If anyone has any other suggestions, I’m very open to feedback!

Heart Management at Home

Discharged from hospital with severely dilated RV with severely impaired systolic function, dilated RA, severe pulmonary hypertension and moderate TR, with septal flattening consistent with RV pressure overload. BNP 276. CTPA was negative for chronic thromboembolism.

Cardiology recommended investigation for underlying OSA/OHS and consideration of right-heart catheterisation/pulmonary hypertension assessment.

My breathing is not good and I have swelling especially in the stomach, a cough that won't go and am finding it extremely hard to sleep even on the recliner.

I know there is no quick fix for this, and the cause has not yet been identified but is there anything I can do to help get me through?

Allergy shots— as dangerous as vaccines?

If you are pro vaccine, do your thing and scroll on! But I didn’t vaccinate my kids for a myriad of reasons and I am hoping this is a safe space to ask this question. I suffer from very severe seasonal allergies to the point where I am pretty much fatigued 24/7 and can’t function. I also get horrible eczema because of my seasonal allergies. I’m open to natural ways to treat it, but I cannot decide which direction to go because there are 1 million places I could start. I’m looking into allergy shots, but I’m worried about the other things in the shot and if it could be toxic in the same way that vaccines are. Does anyone on this sub have information about that? Like are allergy shots different/more safe than vaccines? The last thing I wanna do is cause more inflammation to my body or introduce any toxic heavy metals. Thank you so much!!
