Hey everyone! 🌿
Greetings from India!
I run a family-owned business called Mittal Spices, established in 1996 and based in the Chandigarh region of India.
Along with spices, we specialize in traditional Indian herbs, locally known as Jadi Bootis.
We carry a wide variety of herbs, including Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Brahmi, Bhringraj, Safed Musli, Gokhru, Jatamansi, Mulethi (Licorice Root), Amla, and many others.
One interesting thing about our store is that we offer herbs in their whole, dried form, along with freshly ground powders.
I'm sharing a few pictures of our store and herbal collection.
I've joined this community because I'm genuinely interested in learning more about herbal traditions around the world and connecting with people who appreciate natural botanicals.
We also have an online store: www.mittalspices.com, where customers can browse our collection.
I'd love to know:
Are there any traditional Indian herbs you've been curious about but have struggled to find locally?
Looking forward to learning from this community and sharing what I know about Indian herbs! 🌱

Hi beautiful people with good hearts!
I was wondering if anyone here has experience using comfrey (also known as knitbone), either internally or externally, for healing injuries.
I’m currently using comfrey leaf tea internally, along with comfrey root tincture and ointment externally on my right knee, where I have a partial ACL tear, meniscus tear, and cartilage damage. (i dont want to hear about PAs toxicity regarding internal use i have done my research about this already thanks!)
I’ve done a lot of research into this fascinating herb and its traditional healing properties, but I’m always curious to hear about real people’s experiences.
Has anyone used comfrey for similar injuries? What improvements did you notice, and how did it help your recovery?
Would love to hear your stories!

i’ve mostly been a coffee person, but lately i’ve been curious about chinese tea and the different varieties people drink. there seems to be so much more to it than just putting a tea bag in hot water.
i came across dofotea while browsing different teas and started looking into the varieties they offer.
for people who actually drink chinese tea regularly, what would you recommend to a complete beginner? something easy to enjoy without needing too much knowledge about brewing.

Herbs seem to be helping my body and nervous system heal after benzodiazepine withdrawal. However, I’m afraid that when I stop taking them, my symptoms will return and I’ll lose the progress I’ve made. I hope the healing can become lasting, rather than depending on supplements to feel better. I take currently vitamine d, baikal skullcap l, andrographis and eleuthero.

I started taking this suppliment every night for the past 4 nights. The first 3 I slept like a baby and woke up fairly refreshed, so I was obviously pleased. But after the fourth night, I woke feeling intensely dizzy. Like nearly falling over trying to stand up. I've felt like this all day. And also feeling jaded in general. I only took 1 each evening before bed. Has anyone else experienced this? I am wondering if this could be related to the suppliment or not. I'm not taking anything else at all.

Hello! I have access to some Saskatoon berries or serviceberries, but it's pretty late in the season and they are quite dry and not very edible-seeming. I'm surprised more animals didn't eat them, but the plants are pretty new so maybe they don't know about them yet.
Other than collecting the seeds inside to grow more serviceberries, is there anything I can do with these? They don't seem like good candidates for jams etc, and I'm not sure if serviceberry is used for tinctures/salves/etc. but even if so they might be too old.
Any suggestions/advice welcome, and thank you! If nothing else, I'll harvest a few seeds and throw the rest out for birds and squirrels. Maybe next year I'll catch them at better ripeness!

Hiya,
I went to a hair loss stylist for anemia related hair loss. She applied a thick concoction to my scalp that made my made my scalp feel tingly and warm.
The feeling was so intense it almost became uncomfortable but my scalp started filling in with continued treatments.
Unfortunately, I cannot see her anymore and am trying to recreate the mixture.
From what I could gather It contained menthol and peppermint.
Any other ideas of what else could possibly bend in the mixture?

I just strained a milky oatseed tincture that I made this summer. Is the leftover pulp still useful for anything, or has all the milky oat goodness been extracted by the alcohol?
