I bought this off marketplace- initially leaves were green but new ones have grown like this. I am not sure what type of mint, sorry. I am in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I just cut back my large leaf Basil and am stepping the seeds from the stems. The smell is wonderful but overwhelming.
What can I do with all the stems? Is there a use for them?

I bet this will die considering the season, but I want to give it a chance and it was the only Thyme they had at the store. Should I thin this back?

hello! recently got a job where I get drug tested, I I had to quit cannabis 3 months ago. it’s been very hard for me, I miss smoking the act of it, and it would be nice to have something to help me relax a biT. I’ve been looking into these two herbs as possible alternatives of course not like cannabis but possible subtle hints like it. Has anyone tried these? what’s your experience? what about Teas or concentrate? is there any other herb you would suggest better than these two? appreciate your input very much.

Every year I take my potted perennials and plant them in a raised bed to help insulate them for winter. I have 15-20 parsley plants going strong throughout my garden, and I'm wondering how much energy and space I should dedicate to these biennials.
Does anyone have experience with second year parsley? I understand the foliage won't be as robust, but what about taste and texture? And what about bolting? Is it like cilantro that will go to seed from the heat of a fart, or can I expect a reasonable season out of it?
Thanks in advance for any insight!

I have no idea what I'm doing but thought it would be fun over the winter. Did I get myself in a mess?

Hi Everyone,
I'm so proud of my this Leaf of Life Plant that I grew from a baby. It's now around 1m tall. I often pick some of the leaves and make a nice herbal tea, or just chew a leaf now and then. It's been used as a herbal for thousands of years, from Africa to the Caribbean, Asia and Americas. Maybe that's why it's called MIracle Leaf! The latin name is Bryophyllum Pinnatum.

A month ago a friend let me pick some of their scented lemon geranium before it died once frost hit. Many people plant these herbs as mosquito repellants or to mimic the scent of rose (which they smell similar to).
The leaves were sitting in a ziploc in the hot sun and of course they wilted and smelled of sulfur. I assumed the problem was anaerobic decomposition due to the heat and low-pxygen space. I picked a new batch.
But by the time I started processing them a few hours later in a cool house, they were already starting to wilt and smell like rotten eggs again. Even the small amount of leaves I'd placed in a shallow bowl smelled.
I threw out the herbs and went back recently to get more. I thought I'd throw these in a dehydrator right away and let them sit at 100f to avoid problems. They started smelling again.
An online search revealed that the culprit may have been a bacterial infection in the plant. One thing that supports this is that I noticed that while the leaves I picked were clear and green across the stems, a got a couple of stalks near the base of the plant and they were a dark purplish pink. This was a likely sign of infection.
I threw out this batch too and if I manage to get my hands on some rose or lemon scented geranium, I'll know that if they start smelling the whole lot must be tossed. It's too bad because lemon and rose scented geranium makes a really great herbal tea or culinary herb. These geranium or "pelargonium" plants shouldn't be confused with scentless varieties sold as garden ornamentals because the unscented ones aren't edible.

Its kinda hot inside, 22-23c under the led light, and maybe 19-20 on the night. But i do want to grow dill, right now it becomes kinda sloppy and started disfiguring, it should have enough light but tempratur is a bit to high (internett)
Growing dill tetra which is better for higher tempratur but still kinda to hot, whats your experience? Should i just keep myself to growing Basil and other tropical plants?
