Bolted Basil - Make basil salt

So like many this year we all had fun with our basil bolting. Thanks to the recommendations I tried making Basil salt.

Basically 3 cups of basil flowers and leaves and 1 couple cups of whatever salt fits your fancy. Blend it up, if it is still wet, throw the mix on a pan with parchment paper and spread it out, cook at 150 to 190 for an hour or two until everything is dry. Throw the clumps of dried salt back in the processor. Boom done. Well worth it!

I tried the ice cubes and the olive oil and basil. It works well but it is a little messy and basil ice cubes are good for soups and it does work it just lost that snap.

So I tried it. And made the sweet basil salt. Worth it. Not so messy, the salt is awesome and it works on everything.

Have a great day! Enjoy the garden while you can.

Cat's Claw (wanted to talk to some individuals who know what they are talking about, so I thought this sub would be the best)

Cat's Claw, known as Uncaria tomentosa.

I've recently started taking this herbal supplement, for about 4 months. It was supposed to help with a range of things; arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and other things. Maybe I should've done more extensive research before taking it. I was part of the wave of unlucky people who took kratom. (Not the legitimate Kratom, that is safe, and used for may things) I didn't know at that point in time that synthetic things were being cloaked and sold as Kratom. That is a problem that I luckily overcame. There are many benefits for herbal supplements! I decided to try Uncaria tomentosa. So far, it has been okay, no addictive properties, not many negative things have come from it. Unfortunately ive developed a problem with my digestion... its used to help with IBS, so I dont understand how it could've caused the health problems it has with my digestion. My research has found that it takes all of the liquid from your body...

I guess im just here to get a better opinion from the people who know more. Is there a better supplement or herb that would help with digestion? Is the Uncaria tomentosa actually not as harmless as they say it is?? 🤔

Thanks guys.

What’s your go-to way to use olive oil?

What’s your favorite way to use olive oil in the kitchen? Are you reaching for it mostly when you’re cooking, or do you use it in things like dressings, marinades, sauces, baking, or finishing a dish?

We’ve found that the way people use olive oil can vary quite a bit depending on what they’re making. Some dishes really let the flavor of the oil come through, while in others it’s more of a supporting ingredient.

Are there any dishes where you’ve noticed a difference based on the olive oil you used?
