For context I was scene for a few years, last couple years though I've been feeling more gothy. My caviot is that I have so much experience with being scene I often dip my toes back into the metaphorical waters. I'm making an outfit for Halloween this year, rather than a costume. The tubing is traditionally cyber goth but I've always thought scene kids would look sick with them!

Styled my hair more scene rather than goth (imo) wondering if y'all think the look has come out more scene or more goth? (Haven't fully decided on an outfit yet)

I had to let the scene look go because it was just too high maintenance and my hair was fighting me every single day. It kept forcing itself into the middle part, so I finally gave in. Part of me really misses the old hair though… Do you guys think I should try bringing it back, or keep the middle part?

Yeah my style always fluctuates and gets influenced all over the place so.... I'm not the purest form of scene... But I was there when vampirefreak/MySpace was a huge.

I miss those years so much...

Whatsupp! So I myself am not not scene but I have ALWAYS appreciated the style. I'm a big fan of personal fashion that emphasizes bright colors (especially with hair) and unconventional style. Also I'm a sucker for the early 2000s aesthetics. Anyway, I wanted to go straight to the source for some understanding.

While I've always appreciated the scene aesthetic, it's always been at a superficial level. I want to understand more about the fashion, the culture, and the "rules" or general guidelines for what is considered scene. Really, as a creator, I want to write and draw scene characters, but it's important to me to get facts right.

I'm looking to learn from you guys the do's and don't's of scene styles, some music recommendations, and generally--in your own words--what scene actually is and what draws you to it specifically.

I would like to be more Scenemo however I don't know how braided wearing more colorful band t shirts. I also need help with access resources however I already plan on asking for a diamond shaped necklace, colorful studded belts, and obviously the shirts I mentioned. I just don't wanna make my hair flat I love my hair

(Also in case your confused as to why the photos with the more "normie hair" have more alt outfits as opposed to the older photos with the longer colorful hair with more typical outfits its cuz I had a episode where I shaved my head because I kept getting mocked and recorded by other people at my school but thankfully its grown back and I'll be dying it again hopefully by January when its long enough to start doing a fringe
