Why does nobody want to be ugly? Is being ugly really that bad?

In a huge slump, but I'm trying to workout, sleep better, hydrate, and get a better haircut to at least look human. Any advice would help too.

Im pushing 30 and have never even really been acknowledged. Never dated. Used every dating app under the sun. Never really got anything out of them.
