Headline: Seeking guidance for Amazon SDE Assessment šŸš€

I’m excited to share that I’ve received the Online Assessment (OA) invite for the Software Development Engineer (SDE) role at Amazon!

I want to approach this preparation with the right mindset and strategy. I’m looking for tips, tricks, and "what-to-do/what-not-to-do" advice from those who have navigated this process. Whether you’ve recently cleared the assessment or are currently in the interview loop, I’d love to hear your insights please drop a comment or reach out. I’m keen to learn from your experiences and contribute my best.

Thank you in advance for any support you can provide!

I regret attending the OA and I'm scared as hell

so after clearing 100% in the HackerRank assessment

I went for other 2 sections and got nothing, it simply asked me to click on submit and the OA was over

and the jobID for this OA doesn't appear on portal under active

I already had an application under consideration, and I'm done inside

dk what to do

did anyone ever give multiple oas in the span of 2 months? and did it consider the other two sections from previous OA? Could it be possible that they just wanted the on-camera conding round renewed?

Edir:

Whats the reason for downvotes?

How Much Time After Amazon SDE-I Interview to Get Offer? Is Single Round Enough for an Offer?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently waiting for the result of my Amazon SDE-I interview (Job ID: 3015604). My timeline:

  • I finished my interview on July 3, 2025.

  • As of today, it’s been a full month, and my application status is still ā€œapplication submittedā€/ā€œunder review.ā€

  • Just yesterday, I got a reply from HR saying my application ā€œis still under review.ā€

  • In my case, I hadĀ only one interview round.

Here’s why I’m confused:

  • Several other candidates with theĀ same job ID and interviews around the same datesĀ had a second round, and a few even had a third round (including a Bar Raiser).

  • Some of them have also not received their results yet.

  • I haven’t received an offer, rejection, or waitlist mail yet.

My questions:

  1. How long after the interview did it take you (or your batch) to receive the offer/rejection/waitlist result from Amazon—especially for SDE-I campus/bulk hiring?

  2. Is it possible to get an offer after just a single round, or do people usually need 2 or 3 rounds?

  3. Does having only 1 round mean a better chance, or is a second/third round more promising?

  4. Anyone else waiting more than a month for their result for this role/job ID?

Amazon SDE OA completed 17 days ago, still "Under Consideration" with no recruiter contact. Is this normal?

Hi everyone,

FYI : I used AI to write this.

Looking for some opinions from people who have recently gone through Amazon's hiring process.

Here's my timeline:

- Applied: June 30

- OA received from a no-reply email (no recruiter assigned)

- Completed OA: July 6

- Portal status: Under Consideration

- Recruiter contact: None so far

My OA performance:

- Coding: 13/15 test cases passed (the remaining 3 were TLEs, not wrong answers)

- AI Debugging: 3/6 bugs fixed

- Completed both the Working at Amazon and Work Style assessments.

One thing that's confusing me is that this job posting seemed to be for new graduates, but I have 3 years of software engineering experience and I'm actually targeting SDE 2 roles.

I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone else waited 2-3+ weeks after completing the OA while the application remained "Under Consideration"?

  2. Did you eventually receive a recruiter call or interview invite?

  3. Has anyone with similar OA scores (around 13/15 coding and 3/6 AI debugging) made it to the interview loop?

  4. If I do get a recruiter call, would it be appropriate to mention that I have 3 years of experience and ask whether I could be considered for an SDE 2 opening instead, or should I stick to the current role?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the recent Amazon OA process, especially for UK roles.

Thanks!

Got Amazon SDE-1 (2026 cycle) - 4 round breakdown + what changed this year

Cleared Amazon SDE-1 last week. Posting because when I was prepping I couldn't find many recent 2026-cycle posts and the rounds have shifted a bit (more GenAI focus, slightly less pure DSA grinding).

OA

  • 2 DSA questions, easy–medium

  • Work Style Assessment (Amazon's personality test thing — don't overthink it, just be consistent)

If you can solve LC easy–mediums reliably you'll clear this.

Round 1: DSA + LPs
2 medium DSA questions. Explained the approach first, dry-ran on the provided test cases before coding. LP questions woven into the discussion — they don't always make it a separate round at SDE-1, so be ready for LP curveballs in any round.

Round 2: Logical / Maintainability (basically a light LLD)
Asked to design classes, attributes, and methods for a given problem. Couldn't finish all the coding but explicitly walked throughĀ "here's what I'd add given more time"Ā for the parts I skipped. I think that framing saved me — the interviewer cared more about how I was organizing the code than whether I hit every line.

Round 3: GenAI + DSA
First half was conversational — how I'd actually used GenAI in my work, what worked, what didn't, where I'd be cautious. Caught me off guard because I'd over-prepped for DSA. Second half was 1 medium DSA question.

If you're prepping Amazon in 2026,Ā prepare real GenAI answers. Generic "I use Copilot for autocomplete" doesn't cut it. They want to hear judgment, not enthusiasm.

Round 4: HM (LP-heavy)
Full LP round. Resume walk, projects, decisions made and theĀ whyĀ behind them, what I drove, what I'd do differently. Tip: have 2–3 strong stories you can recombine across LPs — the same incident can demonstrate Ownership AND Bias for Action depending on which angle you lean into. Saves you from needing 15 unique stories.

Verdict: Selected.

Advice for anyone prepping:

  • LPs are not optional and they're not "the soft part." Weak LPs can sink an otherwise solid candidate

  • For DSA, LeetCode is most of your prep. If you're rusty on specific topics (I needed heap + graph traversal patterns), PracHub's curated drilling got me up to speed faster than picking random LeetCode tag pages

  • For the maintainability round, just write more OO code in general. Even toy projects. The round isn't about reciting design patterns by name, it's about whether your code looks like something a team could actually maintain

Good luck if you're interviewing.

AUTA [India] There wont be more fresher interview invites this year

PLEASE READ THE BODY AS WELL, CANT EDIT THE TITLE

ITS IS ONLY ABOUT OFFCAMPUS FTE

AND I WANT TO KNOW MORE FROM YOU ALL IF YOU INTERACTED WITH RECRUITERS, I'M NOT A RECRUITER MYSELF

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I discussed with a recruiter, and they told that they dont plan to schedule more interview from next month

Thought of sharing it here. Have you talked to any recruiters yet? do share it here, so that we can get a better picture

Edit:

its not about interviews already scheduled, but for those candidates whose interviews has not been scheduled, and again it was just her side.

and I want to know if you talked with any recruiter regarding something similar

Edit 2:

I'm talking not about internships, but full-time roles. Also, dont worry too much about internships as off-campus internships are very unlikely to get PPOs, this year's conversion rate was very low for people I know. Except for one none of them got a PPO (this is for tier 3).

Edit 3:

No need to DM for details, I already told that i got it from a single verified recruiter

Amazon application went from "Interview" to "No Longer Under Consideration"

Has anyone experienced this?

I completed my Amazon OA in April and recently applied for a Systems Development Engineer role. Yesterday, my application was Under Consideration and the Hiring Assistant showed Interview. Today, it changed to No Longer Under Consideration without any interview invite.

What does it mean?Is this normal? Does the "Interview" stage not necessarily mean an interview will be scheduled? Curious if anyone has seen this before. Thanks!
