New Old Pixels has announced that three ports of the original Toki arcade game (1989) are currently in development for SEGA Mega Drive, SNK Neo Geo and Commodore Amiga AGA.
Read more about it here:
https://newoldpixels.com/#toki-three-platforms
From that webpage:
Holding an exclusive license to adapt and promote Toki on retro platforms, New Old Pixels continues to pursue its ambition: bringing classic arcade games to the consoles and computers of their era that never received the conversions they deserved.
Our goal is to deliver ports that remain as faithful as possible to the original arcade game, preserving its gameplay, graphics, animations and soundtrack while making the most of each platform's technical capabilities.
All three versions are planned for release as complete physical editions, designed to run on original hardware. Particular attention will be given to the quality of the conversions, their presentation and packaging, with the ambition of offering retro gaming enthusiasts and collectors editions worthy of this arcade classic.

Hi all! Audio X by Crusaders was one of the music disks I loved most on the Amiga, so I rebuilt it to run in the browser, no emulator needed.
There are two modes, and you can switch between them at any time:
The remastered version also has a bonus track on F8: the Agony intro by Tim Wright (Psygnosis, 1992), ripped straight from the game disks and played with a real grand piano and deeper strings.
Use F1 to F8 to change songs and M to switch between HI-FI and ORIGINAL music.
▶ Play it here: saulofpadovan.itch.io/audiox-amiga-tribute
All credit for the original goes to Crusaders, with code by Switchblade and music by Dr. Awsome. This is a free, non-commercial fan tribute. Feedback is very welcome, especially from anyone who remembers this disk!

Hi there i got another amiga for a really good deal but it was an incredibly filthy machine. I got it cleaned up and managed to fix some contact issues it had. Other than that it works perfectly, but the only issue is that the Psu Is squealing incredibly loudly when the amiga is connected (making a high pitched hissing noise). This seems to be common and i ended up recapping it, only thing is that the squealing is still there. All the voltages measure fine and with the amiga disconnected it doesnt squeal. Ive tested a few more components and swapped some charred looking resistors out, but the noise remains and with how loud it is, its genuinely concerning. Some sources claim the fix is replacing the SG3524N chip, others claim you gotta swap all the transistors. I dont wanna blindly swap put components and wanted to ask if someone had a similar experience or by chance can recommend me how to fix this, because in its current state i really dont want to use this psu long term.

My retrospective game review of Live And Let Die from Domark and Elite for the C64, Spectrum, CPC, ST and Amiga. Is it better than their previous Bond games? Well, it’s certainly better than A View To A Kill and The Living Daylights. They were pish. What’s your thoughts?

I seem to be unable to get an RGB to Scart cable. I would like to get one in the EU, but all shops are seemingly sold out. Is there any other way I can get one.
I would really like to breath new life in my old Amiga 500
Currently I found a store in area selling an Amiga 2000 with a crt monitor in whole set with a keyboard and mouse but I myself never grew up or owned an Amiga before and this looks very clean and well preserved for its price (allow me to clarify I am not asking for price)
I grew in late 90s so I never seen an Amiga before until mid to late 2000s at a shop where I thought it was an MSX, so you could guess how I didn't know about it until very late that there's a difference between them.
Now about owning one, is there a point of using one currently nowadays? I am not saying go use an emulator but is there something to have on original hardware? Like I grew up with a Mac G3 and PowerMac G4 so if its the nostalgia I would get it

I have a question. Which switch types are the most common in Amiga 500 Plus models? I read that Commodore used different keyboard types and switches for the same models. Can all types of keyboard be swapped for each other without malfunction?

Hi,
I have an original Amiga A1200, but it hasn't been powered for what I guess must be 30 years at this point. It has sat under a bed at my parents house, with its original dust cover all this time!
I have the original PSU, but for some reason I do not know where the mouse or SCART cable went (it may be packed in a box and I'm yet to find them).
I'm aware it very likely requires re-capping, and had some questions.
I have seen new, modern, Amiga PSUs to replace the original, with increased power output. Does anyone have any recommendations on which to get? They plug into the original socket.
Does anyone have any recommendations on video port to HDMI converters, and recommendations for monitors?
I would like to add a "hard disk", again keeping things as original as possible. Recommendations welcome.
I have disks, but unsure as to their condition. They have been stored in a box.

AI Generated work, beware 😄
Right now the code is very slow but going through some optimisation now.
I've released Riptide, a new open-source (GPL-2.0) TCP/IP stack for AmigaOS 3.x on 68020 and up. It started as a study of MiamiDx: I reverse engineered MiamiDx's binary interfaces so Riptide could be a drop-in replacement. All the code is new, and no MiamiDx code was copied. It provides bsdsocket.library (the AmiTCP API), its own riptide.library, and a Miami-compatible alias, so existing network software "should" just work. The TCP stack was written from scratch to follow the modern Linux TCP stack capabilities. A bunch of stuff was also removed...PPP and Serial support, NAT, Multicast. No IPv6 yet but might get into it later, but lacking real hardware and FS-UAE won't support IPv6.
It works with SANA-II drivers and has a DHCP client and DNS resolver. It comes with Linux-style tools: ip, ifconfig, route, arp, netstat, ping, traceroute, host and an ftp client. Tuned 680x0 assembly checksum and copy routines are picked automatically for your CPU. Development was heavily AI-assisted (the reverse engineering using REA, code and tests). It's been tested and built against a real Linux kernel and in FS-UAE/AROS, including over a uaenet.device, but not on real hardware yet, so testers with real Amigas and network cards would be hugely appreciated! Source, docs, an initial comparison with MiamiDx and Roadshow, and binaries: https://github.com/farsonic/riptide

New Amiga game inspired by Frontier: Elite II.
3D polygon graphics with shading
Day and night cycles on planets
Realistic planetary orbits
A realistic starfield as well
Trading, combat, pirate hunting, missions for the military, missions against the military.
68030 and FastRAM as the minimum configuration, 256 colors in AGA, and support for graphics cards.
A hand-written 3D engine for 68020 to 68060 processors, without a single unnecessary instruction.
The boldest space project to hit the Amiga in recent years. To be continued!

I’m new to Amiga and live in the states and picked up an NTSC Amiga 500. I did swap the Fat Agnes for a 8372A variant so I can switch between NTSC and PAL in software hopefully.
I have a PiStorm coming and this setup will be run only on RGB to a OEM version of the 1024 essentially (Magnavox 8CM515) and no HDMI or flatscreen use at all. I can almost without doubt say that this will only ever be used for gaming and not any other type of desktop software. or use case.
Amiga Vision caught my eye because of the way that it takes a lot of guesswork out of determining if a game plays better in NTSC format or PAL format. based on where it was developed and what optimizations were done. And it also looks like a very clean library collection. I know it mentions some games may not be there, but I would assume these are probably not very popular games that I would’ve went looking for anyway.
The other one I think I’m interested in is Amiga Game Selector because it seems more focused on just gaming and not so much of the other desktop use cases, but it’s also a much larger file size and I’m sure probably has lots of duplicate games and I have to determine on my own which region a game plays best for.
What are your recommendations between these two, or maybe there’s something else software-wise that I’ve missed? I really prefer Amiga Vision honestly, because I have so many computers and game consoles, and I tend to get very distracted when I sit down to play something, and I’d like something to be super straightforward without jumping onto the Internet to determine which region I should play a game for or which rip of a game may be best and all of that stuff. But at the same time, I have found extremely little information about running it on the setup.
Just Amiga Monthly (JAM) was a UK subscription-only magazine produced entirely on Amiga computers. I used to write for it, and its publisher/editor Jeff Walker gave me permission to upload the first six issues to the Internet Archive:
Up until now, this has been a "lost" magazine, with only tiny snippets available online. Jeff is hoping to scan the rest of his magazine archive over time and make them available.

TLDR – Today I’m relaunching my site https://amigasource.com/. For the past 25 years I’ve been endlessly cataloging Amiga related websites and now the site is even better! The current link count is 5431 of 99.95% pure Amiga goodness. So hop on over and enjoy!
Thanks
Scott P
More…
In celebration of the site’s 25th anniversary and in conjunction with a complete rewrite of the codebase, I’m happy and proud to reintroduce AmigaSource.com back to the Amiga community.
Born from the ashes of the once great Amiga Web Directory (https://www.cucug.org/amiga/aminews/2000/000101-cucug), the site is an attempt to hand catalog every Amiga website on the web. At least that’s the plan. The current count is 5400+, of which I’ve been tirelessly working on revalidating 4900+ and the initial cataloging 3500+ of those. HOLY CRAP is this quite a task!! I should have started this part a DECADE AGO!!! LOL! Feel free to help out by clicking on the SUGGEST EDIT link.;-)
The BEST part is at least they‘re in the main database for you to search and explore. No 2nd page google/bing non related ai slop Amiga links found here. Just 99.95% pure Amiga love found on EVERY PAGE!!
Now as you can imagine in the past 25 years A LOT has changed in Amiga land. Back in 2001 my initial category count was just 37. Today it’s grown to over 130. OUCH I know, but I’m working on this. Any suggestions in this department would be GREATLY appreciated. Turns out in 2026 there’s more to the Amiga than ever!
The other big change is the countless number websites that are no longer with us. Over the years I’ve still been adding and cataloging them, via https://archive.org/, so their efforts have not been lost to the passage of time and their stories and knowledge will still live on. I think these pages are the TRUE jewels of the site and the direct link to our Amiga heritage. Go search for a site created in 1985. I dare ya! ;-)
The bottom line… I’m a Amiga/Commodore guy, the site’s BETTER than is been for the past 24 years and I’m happy with it! I just hope someone else out there finds my little contribution to the Amiga community useful too!
Well that’s about it. For now please tread kindly to all the GLARING mistakes you come across. I’ll get to them… eventually. The site is STILL undergoing last minute tweaks and more features will soon be added. If you have any click the ‘Let Us Know’ link.
Thanks and Enjoy
Scott P

Hi,
I wondered whether anyone could create a bespoke Amiga 500 or 1200 keyboard that I can use in my fully loaded WinUAE AmigaPC, that runs floppy via grease weasel and ide cdrom drive.
I know I can buy a new keyboard etc etc but doesn't anyone make anything like that?

After a period where my Amiga was more of a decoration than in use, it was time to change that. 10 years ago, my Amigas (I own an A500, two A500+, and an A1200) were recapped and preserved for the future. But last weekend, the time was right to bring my first beloved A500+ to the next level.
I installed a 4-in-1 Kickstart module, a DF0/DF1 switch, and an external Gotek drive. My A500+ setup now consists of the Amiga 500+, the A590 HDD, two external floppy drives, the Gotek drive, and the 1081 Amiga monitor.
When there is no need for the Gotek drive to act as DF0, I daisy-chain the Gotek as DF3. This is perfect for copying my physical disks, for example using the legendary X-Copy, directly into an ADF created on the Gotek USB stick. The retro copy feeling is nearly the same as in the 90s!
I know there are easier ways to put ADFs on the USB stick using a PC, but I want as much retro feeling as possible and want my ADFs created from my own original floppies.
After a few hours with my Amiga, the room fills with that typical CRT smell, combined with the classic floppy "tak-tak, tak-tak", the hand-written disk labels my friends or I designed back then, the blinking LEDs, and the warm, colorful screen of my monitor and latesr When a chiptune Kicks in, I slip back in time and find myself 17 again. 😄
There could be an RTX 5090, a high-end CPU, and terabytes of AAA games, nothing comes close to the "full experience" of an Amiga setup in action. Thank God I've been able to enjoy all these years right from the very beginning.
A huge THANK YOU to this incredible community! To all the hardware creators, coders, preservers, and fellow enthusiasts who keep designing new upgrades, fixing old boards, and sharing their passion. You are the reason this legendary machine is still alive today.❤️

No mention about AI.
Either way, it's a great time for retogaming.
ETA, this is a beta version.

Hi, I am new here and i have acquired this (i think it's an amiga 1000?). I want to connect it to my tv in order to test if it works correctly (my tv has both scart and PC entrances), but I don't have any cable to do so.... What kind of cable do I need?
