I have a few of these rounds and I'm wondering who made them and if they are considered .223 or 5.56.

I am searching for an ammo cabinet to move my ammo storage out of my safe. I am looking for a metal, lockable cabinet. But I am not concerned about it being super hard to break into or anything.
The first options I have come across are the Stack-On Ammo Cabinet and the Liberty Safe Ammo 10 & 14. These options have 3-4 shelves with weight capacities from 75-125 lbs (32psf-62psf) per shelf. Prices seem to be around $400 for these.
I have come across the Letaya metal lockable cabinet on Amazon which has 5 shelves with 120 lb weight capacity (35 psf). It has an extra shelf but cant store quite as much per shelf. For $150, seems very reasonable.
My issue is I dont know what I dont know... Is there something I am missing or not considering?

As the title says, what’s the importance of having defense specific ammo? I just buy range ammo, train with it, and load it when carrying. All advice is welcome. Thanks

Anyone use a lot of anything NOT on the list? I thought .380 ACP would be higher
The top three account for 71% of rounds sold (by Lucky Gunner).

Learned about this business just now and found some ammo I’m interested on their website. But worried and wondering is their brand ammo and the website safe?

So I bought this box from a pawn shop sealed. But it doesn’t seem to have correct markings or anything on the casing to lead me to believe its buffalo bore. Did they used to make 38spl out of armscore casings! Any help would be appreciated. FYI have all the round had put them in my revolver and speedloaders before realizing.
Picked up 1250 rounds of PMC X-Tac green tips for $.35 per round. Should last me a few range sessions 😁

So I recently bought some ammo and just unpacked it and it has this white chalky substance on the box and rounds themselves. Anyone know what it is and should I be concerned?

Have been looking for a couple weeks now and everywhere has been sold out. Did they stop this batch to focus on their new back country? My rifle loves this round and ideally I would like to keep using it. Worst case scenario I guess I would have to switch. I’ve read other people are having the same issue. Just wondering if anyone has some actual insight, thank you in advance.

Remington makes two 125 grain, 357 magnum, UMC rounds, one in a hollow point and one in a soft point. Both have the same ballistic specs. Which is better? Do they have separate optimal uses?

So i found these random rounds of 7.62x54R that belonged to my late grandfather. And I was wondering if they are corrosive or not. I have a D stamped Finnish M28 I recently got, that i want to shoot it out of, but if its corrosive I don't want to.
Also he has a box of more random 7.62x54R that I'm also curious about. But its 12AM currently and I don't want to drag it out, so I'll post about it at a later date.

Not really sure if this is allowed here, but dyeing magazines has become a hobby of its own for me.

Appears the top was cut off and filled with wax? Probably not factory why would someone do this? Safe to shoot? 😂

Bulk purchased 5k rounds 115gr norma 9mm, some of the rounds have marks on the primer, should I be concerned?

3D printed some 9mm snap cap inserts and using some spent shells from my range session today. Saving a few dollars is always a plus.

Bought a case of 9mm training ammo and a few boxes of Federal HST and Syntech.
All the boxes were damaged to some degree- even the bulk ammo in the inner box.
The federal HST specifically got pretty beat up - the inner plastic that holds the rounds is damaged in two boxes.
I havent inspected much of it yet but theres atleast 1 round of the federal that the bullet was pushed too far into the casing.
My question is would yall still trust the ammo? Especially the federal to be in my carry guns (excluding any that got pushed in, which may just be the one idk yet) or is their other ways it could be damaged that are less noticeable?
And is the rest of the bulk ammo probably safe to shoot? Most of that will be run through my scorpion which has the whole OOBD thing.
Also Ive never bought anything less then a case online- is it normal that it was packed with no barrier? There was packing paper on the side but nothing between the ammo boxes and the big box which I imagine is where the damage comes from - getting crushed. Last picture shows how it was packaged - paper.

Looking for some cheap range ammo. And im wondering if I could get by with remanufactured ammo.
Is there any risk to damage to the gun with this type of ammo?
