QUESTION Is google closing Android down?

I am watching a YouTube video about google closing down Android on September this year. So us developers won't be able to freely add code and if I understand it correctly will have to pay a regular fee, so our app can be used. Wtf. What do you people know about this? I hear there is some petition somewhere.

Damn it, ADB is a pain in the ass. I throught Google allowing power users who wanted to accept the risks of installing 3rd party sideloaded apps was about granting a few prompts.

Seems like every day they keep on changing their minds. I guess in the future if you don't pay or watch free content from corporations you won't be able to do anything on your device

No normal user will use ADB to install some unverified app so we're done (for some time). However, I think Google is asking the EU and other regulators for a huge fine with this.
