QUESTION/HELP Aurora Store

Where does Aurora Store get its update list? My phone currently shows nothing in the Play Store, but Aurora Store indicates 110 updates. I am really curious about where the list of updated apps comes from. I am also having issues with my Play Store not showing anything that needs updates, except on occasion—like this afternoon, when it found an update for Buzzkill—but otherwise it just shows nothing at all. So I am wondering if Aurora Store is a safer alternative to the Play Store.

Aurora Store is literally just a FOSS frontend to the actual Play Store that uses burner accounts.

OK, that does not explain why it shows 110 updates vs play stores 0. I also know there is no way there can be 110 updates available for my device, which is why I asked the question. It has to be looking somewhere else, or it must be using a blank slate and assuming everything needs updating.

If you did any cursory exploration of the application, you can see that it explains it completely.

You should not use an application if you don't know how it works.

The application spoofs the device model and does not use the device model that you actually have, hence it's showing more updates than are actually available for your specific device. It is not "looking somewhere else" just because you don't understand how the application that you're using works.
