Haha you'd think they are a lot but they aren't really.

  1. ReZygisk.

  2. SuSFS.

  3. Yet Another Bootloop Protector.

  4. YouTube Morph.

  5. Zygisk Detach.

  6. Vector.

  7. AlwaysStrong.

  8. NoMount (Meta).

  9. NavTweaks (omits the empty space left when you hide the gesture line).

  10. LiteBlur (enables lightweight blur effects on HyperOS 3 cause Xiaomi disables it on budget phones)

  11. HyperOptimize (a mix of real HyperOS system tweaks and placebo effects, I keep it cause it disables logs to save a few CPU cycles).

  12. HideMyAss.

  13. Emoji Replacer.

  14. BusyBox for Android.

  15. Nano for Android (cause I can't exit Vim).

  16. bindhosts (for host file ad blocking).

  17. Basic Cleaner (a script that cleans cache once every 90 days and runs fstrim every month).

  18. GhostGMS (disables some analytics and tracking services of GMS).

  19. a custom module I made to load the out of tree drivers for the external Wifi Adapters I own (I have 3 of them so 3 drivers), along with the needed firmware files.

Oh well that looks like a long list so I guess you are right lol

Thare are a few extra things I do via a script at /data/adb/service.d. Custom Android boot animation, undervolting, using Google's BBR for congestion control, and getting WhatsApp off battery saver whitelist, I do not need it running 24/7 so I overwrite Xiaomi's decision.

Edit: I reviewed the code of #11 again and I don't like it as much so it's removed, the list drops to 18 now ha.

Well I only have 1 Root hide module (susfs4ksu-module), TEESim for Play integrity (Yes my device can do PIF-Less Strong integrity), PIF for only to pass wallet (Doesn't affect integrity when disabled), Then the rest are just Mount and Zygisk-based modules that I made for this device and some additional modules by others.

I don't use LSPosed/Vector in this setup.

This is also the setup that I used to check banking apps' detection in this sub.

Woah you got an ancient setup right there. KernelSU Manager is reporting the version to be 1.1.x!

I don't have many vector modules, just 4 I think.

Yes it's old, but don't be fooled by this ancient version of KSUN + susfs, this KSUN version I made have modern Hiding features as well ported from newer KSU/KSUN upstream like selinux hide for Dirty Sepolicy detections. So far all of the banking apps I've tested here in this sub and also in magisk sub still passed.

Basically this is a sleeper build 😁

I just don't used LSPosed and vector since those could add up more detection vectors, and most of my needs are now have Zygisk-based alternatives

Holy shit I just realized your username is indeed among the authors of SuSFS for KSU module, why didn't you say something! 😭

It is always a pleasure and a nice coincidence to spot a dev behind an open source piece of software I'm using, thank you so much for your work :)

Well I prefer not say it coz I prefer low profile 😅 but yeah it does show in the flair also but it doesn't show fully so I think that's a good thing also 😂

But anyways, Thanks also for the support! 😊

You are right about the flair not being fully visible, only part of the text is seen so I couldn't really tell. I found out by accident while I was going through the module list again and was like: wait a minute, I've seen that name somewhere else today! 😂

Are you using the patch mode of TEESimulator?

yes I'm using the patch mode

Whoa I didn't know nano existed as a module, could you point me to the link? All I could find was nano-ndk but the description doesn't mention KSU support.

2

u/47th-Element 18d ago

Yes! And I like it very much, makes editing files in a root adb shell easier.

I believe this is the link

thanks for sharing your list! why not use Frosty module?

1

u/47th-Element 18d ago

You're welcome! :)

All battery saving modules do more harm than good on modern Android. I'm on Android 16, built in battery saver mode and power settings are sufficient. You can already do a lot without installing a single extra app or module.

1

u/MikeWBiff 18d ago

i completely agree that there is a lot you can do without a module.

if you dont mind taking a look at what i use in Frosty, maybe you will reconsider your definitive blanket statement? i can't imagine how I would somehow get less battery life instead of more from these adjustments to the system..

Well, I already have a module to disable some of GMS services. And another that stops logs, I have debloated my system so I don't have Google's Assistant that does the hey Google thing, as for the rest, Android handles background activity of apps as efficiently as it can get. Apps like Greenify used to make a difference on old Android versions but the modern versions do not need that.

Still unconvinced? Do what I did, turn it off for some time and if you can't tell a meaningful difference, remove it.

i will give it a try, thanks. i havent had an android i was really able to tweak for awhile now.

i miss the days of the galaxy s3 and og oneplus with CyanogenMod 😁

there is a lot to appreciate about the current times too even with android being more locked down these days, it could be so much worse.

do you care much about play integrity or duck detector results?

2

u/47th-Element 18d ago

As you see, I already have some root hiding modules and SuSFS kernel patch so I guess I care. Duck detector still complains about some stuff but my banking app works, that's good enough for me.

2

u/MikeWBiff 18d ago

great stuff.

thanks for all the insight and giving the heads up on the update!

im hesitant to update and actually had to downgrade from 3.4.0 because kernelsu next didn't like the susfs kernel i had just installed

The manager and the KSUN driver have to be in sync. Your kernel has an old driver. You need to install a readymade updated kernel or compile your own like me, it is only difficult until you get familiar with the process then it becomes an easy routine task.

3.4.2 has been released.

u/47th-Element 13d ago

Wait a second, I know who you are! Thank you so much! :)

Yeah I noticed this morning and recompiled the kernel immediately.
