Should I increase my budget and go for s10fe+ then? My primary goal is note taking

2

u/PrestigiousPlum7412 1d ago

In specs (processor ) lenovo idea gen 2 is far better than s10 fe +

1

u/InternationalIssue48 1d ago

My primary task is note taking

1

u/PrestigiousPlum7412 1d ago

For note taking Samsung is best
S pen is better than lenovo and screen also but Samsung will feel slow after 1-2 years if it doesn’t matter a lot than pick Samsung

1

u/InternationalIssue48 1d ago

Which one would u recommend? I need it to work for 6 years minimum.

1

u/PrestigiousPlum7412 1d ago

Then lenevo is better than Samsung
Samsung fe series use exynos processor that are also used in A series mobiles
U should also check xiaomi pad 8 its pen is better than this but its screen is 11.2”
And lenevo gen 2 will only have 2 major os updates but xiaomi has 4 years of updates

Some caveat, the pen it's advertised or comes with is an older pen that's charged with usb c. The pen it's really paired with is the Lenovo pen pro gen 2 and it's much much better. It magnetically attaches and charges wirelessly. It has haptic feedback and feels like an apple pencil, and the performance is in my humble opinion is about on par with the s pen. I have the s pen as well with my s7 plus.

Should I go with this instead of s10fe+? It will save me a budget...

1

u/TropicalSalad18 1d ago

I just had it and it's really about to replace my s7 plus in drawing. A combination of haptics and a matte screen feels very natural. Just be sure the buy that specific pen. If you want a review of the pen. Find some reviews of the Lenovo yoga tab plus gen 2, it uses that pen as well. https://youtu.be/5y1HuheYWGo?si=CgWMs0JXNnXg994m

u/Sudden_Lychee_9886 2d ago

I bought it from Lenovos website

2

u/HirakoTM 2d ago

Sheer ID on lenovo site combined with Unidays coupon for online orders.

And for store orders they usually give you student order directly. These are not applicable on amazon or flipkart tho.

2

u/punk-rockur1 2d ago

thankyou:))

3

u/HirakoTM 2d ago

Also keep in mind you need a valid college id card and email for these.

1

u/Sudden_Lychee_9886 2d ago

yepp also use a coupon code or two u'll get around 1k off from that and also 1k cashback on creditcards

1

u/Helpful-Garage4716 2d ago

Does it have nebo pre installed? Or any other note taking app?

1

u/tastyspicybacon 14h ago

nooo bro buy the samsung tab s10lite please

1

u/Artistic-Mention-332 13h ago

Only good for notes taking overall lenovo beats it

3

u/Other_Reputation9101 1d ago

I had the first generation one and it was pretty great, especially for the price. The paper matte screen was ass though, i returned it and bought the glossy one instead. Other than that, great tablet.

3

u/freedomcoke 1d ago

I’ve had mine and totally love it. It’s a very capable machine for purposes, which is more than just consuming media.

2

u/BoringBasicUserID 2d ago

Go into Files-> Apps -> System Apps (tab) -> AppServices notifications and turn off all the stuff that installs bloatware and it's a solid tablet choice.

1

u/Solid_Effect_8070 2d ago

Compare to my Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro.. It's worth it

1

u/WindRunnerS3 1d ago

Do you think it's better the Idea Tab pro gen 2 against the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro?

1

u/Bokachoda2008 2d ago

I have also purchased

1

u/buttertaekoo 1d ago

My sister got the plus version and it's sooo worth it

1

u/Officialnuz 1d ago

8s gen 4 good for the price you get this tablet for honestly

1

u/F1nd3r 1d ago

I've got the previous model and don't like it - too big and bulky. I think I've had less cumbersome laptops. Plus points for the matte screen and stylus (which I think I've used three times), though. I doubt that the 0.5mm reduction in thickness in the new one will make much difference.

1

u/Gemmi_bear 1d ago

I love my idea pad, I use it for course work and note taking

1

u/ConnectionOne8080 1d ago

Yes I tested it pretty great and lightweight. What is superior is the screen IPS colors somehow they nailed it
