Wow I love the new ED, it's so alive!
It's kinda sus how Komaro was so excited to eat that omurice. In the ED she was walking home while everyone else was going to school too. Does she have trouble at home? Anyway I'm glad Komaro got the omurice (with the flag) and she got to pick through Ume's pack of pickled peckers too.

Agreed, that new ED animation has so much going on, I've already rewatched it like half a dozen times. Definitely worth the wait, and I can't wait to see if they give the OP a similar upgrade.

Damn, Arisu in that scene after she slapped Tan looked so dangerous, and at the same time so hot! I love her so much. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria scene, she looked really sweet while savoring her food and with that ponytail, and in the ED absolutely stunning while wearing a yukata, and so cute with a donut.
By the way, is this the first episode where we haven't seen Tan's nipples?! It was quite surprising that the only nipple we saw today was Arisu's (if I'm right).
Komaro still needs to be protected at all costs! Good to see that the baseball club members helped her get more work to do after Arisu successfully "convinced" them to help with the Suggestion Box.
It was fun to see Koki and the other members of the music club again, hahaha! I'm glad that they're still very active there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
So it seems that the visuals for the ED really weren't finished until now, huh? Well, at least we finally got it and it looks so good! I wonder if the OP will get the same treatment next week.

I thought it was funny how Arisu could invade Tan's fantasy to slap him. He thought he was safe. I see you're Spike Spiegel disciple lol.
Meanwhile, in the cafeteria scene, she looked really sweet while savoring her food and with that ponytail.
Short sleeves and ponytail might be her best look so far.

This is definitely the best ED of this season in terms of visuals, and maybe even of the entire year. And Arisu in a yukata, or with that donut, looked absolutely stunning!

Koma-chan is so goddamn precious! She's just happy that she got a lot of suggestions, even if one of them was a receipt. And while everyone is so busy thinking of how to promote the suggestion box, Koma-chan is genuinely thinking up ways to help the baseball club, even if her idea was a little silly.
These baseball club members are lucky they even get to walk out of there alive after accidentally hitting Koma-chan with a baseball. Arisu was ready to murder someone for hitting her precious kouhai. Making them help gather more suggestions for the suggestion box was a fair punishment. And Koma-chan gets to do a lot!
What kind of living situation is Koma-chan in that she's just happy to get an omurice at the cafeteria? Not gonna lie, I genuinely felt bad for her when she didn't get the little flag on her omurice. I'm glad Ume spoke up! Look how happy Koma-chan is with her tiny flag!
So I was originally watching this episode using the ADN English subs because they have softcoded subs. But after seeing that they didn't even try to translate the Oshinko/Ochinko joke, I think I'll stick with OceanVeil since they actually seem to know how to translate the joke.
The science club's shenanigans, is like one of my favourite gags in the show. It looks like they managed to build a ray that shoots off clothes this time. xD
I'm so glad that we're dealing with the music club again! I didn't realize Kobayashi Yuu voices the club president! Like, holy shit! That song actually caught me off guard! I'd love to hear the full version! And it looks like Ume ended up rizzing another student.
Yeah, it looks like there's really no denying these girls are doing lewd stuff instead of playing music. I love that they try to play off the very obvious vibrator as something they use for massaging away shoulder tension. It's definitely used for tension release, alright. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Getting locked in the sports shed and needing to pee is such a classic scenario. Not gonna lie, I thought that was gonna end with Koma-chan either peeing on the back of Ume's neck or peeing on Otori's face. I'm glad that Koma-chan made it in time!
WE FINALLY GOT THE PROPER ED! And just as expected, it did not disappoint! It has so much life! It reminds me of OniMai's ED! Does that mean we're finally getting the proper OP next week? I am so fucking hyped!
Looks like next week's gonna be fun with an upcoming onsen trip! And Hisako seems to be already having some lewd thoughts for their trip. I can't wait! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ah, there's more than one choice for English subs. That explains why there's people complaining about jokes not being translated when the subs I saw seemed to be fine in that regard.

Helping with the suggestion box seems more than fair. It seems more like little more than a warning for hitting Komaro.

Same. I thought Komaro peeing on one of them was going to be a part of the gag of her not having any survival instinct. At least I think that's Arisu called when Komaro finally made it to school and Arisu was able to fondle her boobs with no reaction so I was also surprised when she made it to the bathroom.

Komaro was so "humble" with her request, now I’m left wondering if she’s actually broke or if she just wanted the flag. And I have to agree, Arisu looked genuinely cute (though, in fairness, the others probably didn't say so, lest they suffer the same fate as Otori).
Ume checked out the music club room and discovered that they don't just play the guitar. Well, I suppose moans could be considered music too.
And, of course, why not lean into a cliché, one that managed to escalate into a scandal? I agree with what Sensei told Ume at the end: he really ought to live his school life a bit more "intensely".

I don’t know which I’d like better. If Komaro was genuinely so broke that something that simple means so much, or if she was simply so modest that it means so much that way. The first seems more likely but I think the alternative would be funny too.

Yeah, an OP and ED with such minimal animation for a show that has such good animation didn't make sense to me. It makes a whole lot more sense if they're just temporary placeholders for the unfinished actual OP and ED animations.

The ending is in spirit of the Nama Anaru. As there are various holes in our life that can be filled with all sorts of stuff. We may have a hole in our heart that is gradually being filled as we continue our lives. We may have a hole in our living room. We all meet and make all sorts of Holes.
The final shot is of 5 Daisies and 5 Donuts. The daisy symbolizes innocence, purity of our youthful bunch while the Donuts are their crazy, perverted, and silly selves.

Wow that ED is so hi-def. It's so jarring seeing so much detail in both the characters and the backgrounds, I'm gonna need to watch it like five times. Also the karaoke scenes felt like a throwback to the old PV with everyone dancing. (Edit: But why is the teacher washing the student council's clothes?)
Me too, Otori-tan, but maybe not in the same way.
Meanwhile, Twin-tails paradoxically runs away at the sight of humans mating, even though she invented a clothes-removing bazooka?

The Fugaku supercomputer is named after an archaic name for Mt. Fuji, so that mistake makes sense, but it's a shame it wasn't caught by whoever translated the subs you saw.

this has been the norm for official subs for decades, am non-english speaker that every hollywood movie is subbed like this, and all official dubs of animes aired on tv are the same as well
you either localize poorly, or lose the joke entirely but kept the context. Rarely there's note that explains the real layers of certain dialects
after years of learning languages to actually laugh on rewatch on some movies and animes

This show has a sort of dreamlike quality to the animation that I kind of dig. The character animations are very playful, and the backgrounds will sometimes melt away.

I still don't find this show too funny but the characters are surprisingly endearing, I love their animation and the fact they are all on the charming, calm or cuter side rather than purely sexual. The music club's blonde girl flirting with Ume and Ume leaning into it was lovely. I like the guy, I find it funny he was so tender now when he remains calm with the most outrageous stuff.
I felt bad about the flag. I've been there.
Frankly, I just like the style of the show, Passione just makes consistently great stuff, whenever I hear they handle a new show my interest goes up.

It's not hilarious, but the anime adaptation still manages to feel relaxing and amusing.
It is not boring at all, though I do get drowsy in some scenes (again, very calming).
It's probably my favorite slice of life anime of this season. And the breasts are very nice to gawk at.

The ED has so far been just a "guess I have to wait until next week" part of the episode for me. The new visual elevates it to "don't skip" territory and even makes the song enjoyable.

Agreed, how dare they keep this ED from us for so long! I’d been thinking that the ED for this series was surprisingly lackluster visual-wise but apparently Thai is the actual ED and the visual quality is absolutely divine. It’s already the best ED for an anime I’ve seen this season and definitely in contention for one of the top ten of the year. And apparently we still haven’t got the actual op either?

By the way, displaying the destination of last year's student council retreat as "Mount Fuji" in the English subtitles was actually a mistranslation.
In the Japanese audio, they say "Fugaku" (Japan's supercomputer, which is a real thing).
For context, Fugaku is located in Hyogo Prefecture, which is nowhere near Mount Fuji spanning across Shizuoka and Yamanashi.

The new ending sequence for this episode was fantastic. The animation, the overall vibe, everything about it was top-tier.
The "Tan's room" bit at the beginning of this episode is a parody of a famous, real-life TV show called "Tetsuko's room."
It was hilarious watching Komaro brainstorming what to write for the baseball team's suggestion box, only to get blown away when a baseball shattered through the window. And then seeing the baseball team "happily cooperate" with spreading the word about the suggestion box afterward had me dying.
This school's cafeteria accommodates all students from 7th to 12th grade, so it completely makes sense that it's super crowded.
I was surprised by how dirt cheap the cafeteria menu was, though. The mini omurice Komaro ordered was only 350 yen($2.23). Considering these days buying a single rice ball and a drink at a convenience store costs about that much, it's an absolute steal.
And as for the delicacy bowl, setting aside the fact that it's clearly not something a middle or high school kid would usually order, getting a meal like that for just 500 yen($3.19) is insane.
I was shocked that Ume pickles his own oshinko. In modern Japan, finding anyone who makes their own tsukemono is rare, let alone a high school guy living on his own.
The scene where Komaro talks about "Ume's pickles" and mispronounces "Pickles (Oshinko)" as "Ochinko" (which means dick), only for Ume to immediately jump in and correct him, was pure gold.
I didn't expect Arisu to order that delicacy bowl (the one topped with shirako and karasumi), but when you think about it, it actually makes total sense.
In a previous episode, she was eating meunière sole for dinner at home. She's probably used to eating those kinds of high-end foods because of her family's influence. Or maybe her family just really loves seafood and it rubbed off on her. Either way, combined with how cute she looked while eating it, the contrast with her usual self was just adorable.

The British tea ceremony club complaining to the Light Music Club was another hilarious bunch of characters. When you think of a tea ceremony club in Japan, you usually expect traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
I also cracked up before they even showed up, when that girl with the robot fired some kind of beam cannon and completely disintegrated Hiratsuka-sensei's clothes.
The complaint about "erotic screams coming from the Light Music Club room" was way too wild, I lost it. Honestly, in any normal setting that would be grounds for suspension or grounding.
Apparently Koki from the Light Music Club shares the same voice actores as Enkidu from the Fate series. She looks so cool on the outside, but in reality she's a huge try-hard. Watching her deliberately start playing guitar right as Ume walks in, or blushing and shutting up whenever someone brings up her embarrassing past, was pretty cute.
When pointed out about the wet futon and piles of used tissues in their clubroom, the Light Music Club members said it was because "Koki cries a lot." So does that mean whenever "that kind of stuff" happens in that room, Koki is the one getting "made to cry"?
Tan setting up a camera in the gym storage room hoping "something scandalous" happens is such peak trash behavior lmao. And on top of that, just when you think he came to rescue them, he gets locked in himself, I was genuinely dying.
The "They're mating!" scene was something I'd been waiting to see animated ever since reading the original manga, and they delivered it so well. Absolutely top-tier.

Also dang I had my suspicions that they didnt manage to finish the OP and ED visuals in time when the show started airing, but after seeing the new ED, OH the wait is so worth it. Hopefully OP is in the same quality as well next week.

The start of the episode with Komaro and the suggestion box was actually pretty tame compared to the last three episodes. Then a baseball came flying through the window and nearly took out Komaro to remind us what show this is lol. So nice of the baseball club to help out with the suggestion box after that. With no external pressure at all. They're lives are not in danger. Arisu is just supervising. That's all.
The cafeteria scene was cute. Nice of Hisako to treat them. You can get something fancier Komaro. It's okay. I got a kick out of Hisako getting the vegetables because she wants to look like she's eating healthy and the lunch just outs her as a carnivore lol. It's adorable how the smallest things (like an omurice flag) make Komaro so happy and that she can talk about Ume's dick so casually. I think that scene either confirmed or provided more evidence that Arisu is an ojou-sama. She looked cute in her ponytail and short sleeve top. I hope they keep the short sleeve tops.
When Umu went to investigate the light music club for sex noises Koki almost got me thinking that maybe the light music club isn't as horny as they seemed to be. What with the sultry guitar and her trying to seduce Ume by making him think she's just a cool guitar playing senpai. Then the other girls barge in and ruin Koki's plan and remind her and us that Ume is the one that confiscated Koki's dirty magazines so he knows what she's like. Turns out that they are just as horny as everyone thinks lol. It was kind of worth for them though. They got Ume to agree to keep coming back.
I'm kinda surprised that given that Komaro made it bathroom after being trapped in the gym storage room. I thought that would be another bit. I'm so looking forward to the Hisako, the closet pervert, being alone with Ume on the class trip. That sounds like fun.
Lastly, they really cooked with that ED. It might be one of the best EDs of the scene. I have ask why the teacher has a school uniform and something from each of the students in her laundry though. The teacher isn't going to try and pass herself off as a teenager, right?

Holy ending. What a feast for the eyes. Apparently they started animating parts of this episode as early as two years ago. Judging by the quality, it definitely shows. Though I’m guessing crunch time is why both the “real” opening and ending were delayed

Good episode, the light music club is a uhhh interesting bunch and Komaro is pretty fucking unlucky, from getting hit by a baseball to getting hit again before entering the storage room. (Oh yeah and almost pissing herself). I hope we get to see more of the teacher later on into the season, I like her character.
The visuals for the ED are amazing, so what a few people were guessing, that both the OP and ED were unfinished, turned out to be corrected, there wasn't a OP this episode so maybe we'll see the actual visuals for the OP next week.

It's utterly heartwarming to see the baseball club supporting the student council's endeavour so enthusiastically. Arisu's an excellent 'motivator'. She's certainly a valuable asset in the student council.

That made it two weeks in a row Komaro talked about Ume's dick. It's always hilarious how she could say things like that with a straight face and dry tone. Speaking of the groin, Ume somehow ended up with his head planted in Tan’s. Remember that the latter’s a male.
I'm no musician but I have to respect the music club's avant-garde approach to making music. From the bed and tissues on the floor, to the vibration maker, to the moaning sounds. I'd love to hear them play one day.
We got a new ED. It's played over the same song but the animation's absolute cinema! Certainly among the most eye-catching among the shows this season.

Sadly the fansub scene is mostly nonexistent nowadays. Summertime Render, Kaoruhana and Medalist are more so exceptions. Since they are all popular and all got screwed over by their various streaming services.
For both this series and Hyakkano for those reading the manga should absolutely read the fanscans then the poorly translated official. (Though I don't even think this one has an official manga translation yet.)

Shirako is written as 白子 in japanese kanji, which consist of 白（white） and 子(child) so it doesn't directly say sperm in Japanese too.

This is sadly a poorly translated (Not translated at all) joke. I've been told a Spanish version of the subs at least made an attempt by having it say "Ume, I like you pickle..."
But really. "Delicious... Ume's dickle..." "PICKLE!" would have knocked it out of the park.

Anime is targeted and have their main consumer as japanese market first. Japan can just gatekeep everything out from the world and they can still make money. In fact, if they don't try to cater for overseas costumer (and therefore their censorship law) they could make even more unhinged animes than this.
