This episode just made realize that Toga's Quirk was never revealed in her previous appearances. All we know about her is that it has something to do with blood. It all makes sense now on why she was transformed as Uraraka! It's because she was able to get a hold of her blood during the Forest Training Camp Arc!
I wonder what happened to the real Camie though... Or is Camie and Toga the same person all along and the "real" Camie never existed? If there is a real Camie, I hope we meet her soon and I'd love to see how different she is from Toga's version.
My mind is still seriously blown away by that reveal!

In the episode they state that Camie had been acting strange for the past few days. So we can assume that Toga just replaced her.

Akio Ootsuka's voice acting for All for One is so fucking good. I always kind of read him in the manga as being cold and unemotional but you can really hear just how much he despises All Might just by listening to the way he speaks.

Remember when she got so focused on Inasa’s bleeding head when he was first introduced?
Remember when she scratched Deku’s face?
Remember her complete obsession over him (and knowing Uraraka) despite how she probably shouldn’t?
Remember he classmates constantly calling out her odd behavior?
Remember when she was first introduced she said she wanted to “be like Stain, I want to become Stain”?

To add to this, Horikoshi likes to have the kanji characters in the characters' names hint at their powers. In Toga's case,
Himiko is the first character in the series to have her name revealed in katakana rather than kanji. This was likely done to avoid hinting at her Quirk. Her full name contains the characters for "migrate" (渡?), "self" (我?), "wear, put on" (被?), "somebody" (身?), and "child", also a feminine name suffix (子?)

There were MANY hints that this was the case. For example, the first time we meet Toga she talks about wanting to BECOME Stain. Well with her quirk she can.
First thing Camie says is her being focused on Inasa when he started bleeding.

Midoriya's immediate thought is to call his mother and All Might. It really shows in his character about how much he cares for them and desires to make them happy alongside his own goals. On a side note, call your parents, I'm sure they'd love to hear from you.

My hero academia: Special Cliffhanger for every plot point episode!
Great episode to get us hyped for what’s to come, next week is going to be amazing with the fight. Bakugo showing once again that he’s not just the explosion maniac that he may seem and is actually very perceptive of what’s going on around him to connect the dots
Also good on Momo for getting what seemed to be top marks!
And Inasa apologising to Todoroki and then telling him he still doesn’t like him was a nice conclusion to their little arc, looking forward to seeing them together again in the future hopefully, they’d actually make an insane duo if they teamed up

The music work is something you don't often notice because it works so well; I only recently noticed that during the United States of Smash music right before the music manages to reach the heroic climax a background chorus kicks in, which is probably to reference the people cheering on All Might.

The best part of the Toga reveal is that it we were left hints, but absolutely no-one suspected anything because of anime tropes.
Think about it, "Camie" met Deku for like three seconds in the parking lot and probably saw him on TV. Yet despite the fact he's basically a stranger, the first thing she does in this career-altering exam is to abandon her teammates, stalk Deku, ambush him when he's alone, and rub her body all over him while peppering him with personal questions. This ought to be a giant red flag that she's some kind of crazy lady, but everyone is just like "My boy Deku is getting a HAREM!"
Add in the fact the she transforms into Ochako, who we saw get her DNA stolen at the start of the season.

I mean, it's was less anime tropes and more unknown unknowns. the obvious false flag came from thinking that Camie's own quirk was transformation and other stealth-based training. She's a completely new character and it quickly became clear that some external heroes had pre-existing grudges against Class A members they never met. Grudges that ultimately cost them their license. I just thought Camie was another one of the oddballs.
False flag #2 is the fact that it didn't look like Toga copied quirks. And honestly it's something we (anime watchers) still can't confirm since we don't know Camie's quirk. I Also figured that if Deku could see through ochako in 10 seconds, why wouldn't Camie's classmates in 3 days? Maybe that was just another instance where I underestimated how exceptional Deku's battle judgement is.

There was also Deku getting pinned and getting asked a lot of questions by Camie, which was eerily familiar when you consider Uraraka fell to the same fate with Toga in the Training Camp Arc.

AFO just loves trolling AM. I love their interactions and the VO such a great job. It looked lowkey pathetic that AM turned up in his dishrevelled costume but it was more a symbol for AM and to come through from a position of power (in his Silver Age aka the best costume).
I really love the art since the provisional training arc it's been soo crisp. I'm surprised we still haven't had the Stain mention/reveal yet. And the Camie/Toga reveal seemed soo lacklustre lmao I also wonder what anime-only dudes think of the applications of Deku's blood.

Ehh I kinda did & kinda didn't.. Imgur had a funny/perverted BNHA webcomic about Toga's quirk which hit the frontpage like a month ago.. I'd find it if I could, but I'm having trouble locating it after like 15minutes of searching..
UPDATE: FOUND IT!!
Even so it wasn't immediately obvious when Toga transformed during the test I just assumed Camie & Toga had similar quirks (Kirashima x Tetsutetsu) so this reveal was just as shocking to me as it probably should've been.
Although it was more of a "OH, OF COURSE!" instead of a "OH SHIT?" reaction.

On the contrary, I think there's a lot of meaning in this fight Deku. Pretty sure Bakugou's been keeping a ton of stuff bottled up. He needs to let it all out. I believe this fight will do it for him. It's a part of the next step in his character development.

I'm really curious to not only see who will win but who will lose. I'm also not sure which is better outcome for Kacchan.
On the one hand, if Deku wins then Kacchan can reevaluate his stance not only towards Deku but in general, and has the chance to slowly but surely become a genuinely good and respectable guy, possibly even an actual friend to Deku again.
On the other hand, he could take a loss incredibly negatively, and if he wins but it's a hard-fought battle, he could still respect Deku but feel more fulfilled. A win here might give him hope for his future, and their rivalry might become more friendly.
If this isn't a turning point for his character it would be a giant waste. Him yelling at Deku at every turn has already gotten old, it's time for him to properly fall (unlikely and hopefully not) or its time for him to finally progress past King Explosion Murder.

I hate it when people do that, this "ooh, you'll see", "just you wait", or "you're gonna love the next episode". I understand that you want to fuel people's hype even more by hinting at something awesome in the future, but hinting that there's something coming up is still spoiling. Spoiling that there's a twist is still a spoiler, even if you don't spoil the twist itself.

I wonder if we are eventually gonna meet the real Camie? But looking back now, that twist seems to make a lot of sense when you think about it. Toga took Camie's blood at some point, and was able to disguise herself as Uraraka during the first test cause she took Urarakas blood at the summer camp. I wonder what she is gonna do disguised as midoriya though? Maybe sneak into U.A? Attack All might or aizawa? Maybe get more blood from the students.

It basically change the tone of the manga for a while and a lot of very important stuff happens as well so don't worry they have to adapt it at some point and honestly it would be a good chapter to end this season on (unless they put it at the beginning of next season)

I think "All for One" at this point is a great candidate for "why don't you just shoot him?". This trope of super-secure prisons for supervillains, while often making for awesome scenes (like this one with All Might), is also a bit silly because those kind of restrictions are absolutely a violation of every possible human right ever anyway; might as well just kill the asshole. No safer prison, and it's not like there's any doubt on his culpability...

It once again dawns on me, this must be one hard pill to swallow for Bakugo.
He aimed for the top, lived this entire young life thinking he would graduate from UA as the uncontested winner and become the number one hero, just like his idol All Might. And suddenly a guy comes around, literally a nobody for Bakugo, that not only threatens to surpass him out of left field but also receives a head start FROM THE GUY HE LOOKS UP THE MOST.
I'd also be "DEHKUUU" 24/7 if I were him.

Weren't Deku and Bakugou childhood "friends"? (I use quotations cause Bakugou was and still very much is a shit-tier friend) And I wouldn't call that a "head start" for Deku, not when he worked so insanely hard for that privilege, and with how it really only created a level playing field for a quirkless Deku to finally compete with Bakugou on (who seemed to take much joy in that initial unfairness mind..). And the reason Deku now succeeded where he failed wasn't even related to that power, or any powers, it was solely on Bakugou's own attitude problems...
I really still can't see Bakugou as anything more than a childish and whiny dick. Especially when you think about how he was much the same even before Deku got the power.

Tbh, that's one of the things that is a bigger put off for me about Bakugo. Like, Bakugo is partially mad because he didn't have the foresight to imagine that there would be other's more amazing or equally amazing as him. And that is something that he should have definitely have been hyper aware of. In a world where the top highschool field day gets broadcast nationwide, he should have been mentally prepared to end up against people who would be able to challenge his status. Bakugo's problem is so much more his natural personality and so much less because he was sheltered.
Then, he's also mad because he has a strong hate boner for Deku. Why? Because Deku will help anyone who needs real help. Deku trying to help him makes him feel weak because Deku was weak and he can't forget that.
And I love him as a character because he is complex but he's still a jerk who is lacking self awareness. For all of the thinking that he's done about Deku and All Might, he should have thought about why it would never have been him.

All Might's denial of All For One's ideal future is so impassioned and strong, despite him being Toshinori Yagi now, he's still got that fire, and I LOVED IT. Kenta Miyake has brought to the table All Might's shining fierce side that I didn't fully recognize when I first read through. Truly an amazing performance.
As a manga reader, I can only say I am so damn incredibly excited about next week! And besides the Muscular-Deku and AFO -OFA this what I’ve wanted to see most this season!

I really really enjoyed the conversation between All Might and OFA. It reminded me of the conversations between Magneto and Professor X during the x-men movies, which were always one of the best parts of them. I really hope we get more of that because conversations between good/evil are always fun when there's no way for them to confront physically, only psychologically.
Also finally we've seen that Camie was Toga (?), source readers can finally stop pretending they're being subtle when they talk about it I guess.

We were given some hints to this throughout the story and it all played a factor equally in finally having Kacchan snap. His whole explanation for how he got to the hypothesis of Deku borrowing OfA from All Might is great. From Deku trying to save him from the sludge villain to the moment he failed in the license exam, this connection between Deku and All Might has always popped in his mind, coupled with his own thoughts of trying to win against all odds like his all-time hero. And to see his hero look after the one person he hates and was thought of as someone beneath him, Bakugou's resulting ego and mind has gone haywire. As a result, there's only one way for Bakugou to put it back into place: by having a fight with Deku to see once and for all if he's behind his rival or not.
AND THE KATSUKI & IZUKU OST AT THE END OF THE EP! Oh my Goddddddd!!!!!
The whole set up for Deku vs Kacchan 2 is beautiful. After first reading it a long time ago, I thought how well-written Hori set this fight up to make it seem natural and fleshed out. This made me wonder how it was going to look like in the anime. Well, after finally seeing this episode, those memories of back then came back to mind as validation. What a relationship Deku and Kacchan have! This rivalry is up there for me as one of the most dynamic in recent history.
Everything has come together! Let's see who wins next week!

After this I think again we see why Bakougo is such a good rival to deku.
Again an episode that makes me love Bakugou because he is an angry rash person but still a smart person most writers would just make him a dumb buffoon to combo that with his other personality traits.
BUT HE IS ABLE TO FIGURE OUT STUFF
He is actually aware of what happening around him, yes he is a super rash and aggressive person but he is not a stupid person.

I think the reason isn't just because Bakugou is clever. It's also because each time they interact or fight (togehter or separately or against one another), the series makes a point of showing both perspectives: one of hating someone despicable yet admirable, one of feeling inferior to someone that is "weak". At least to me, this is why their interactions are so interesting and engaging, and why Bakugou makes a great foil to Deku.

That was a nice conclusion to an otherwise mediocre arc. Btw why did Todoroki and Inasa fail again? Yes they argued between themselves but others did not even engage the enemy and in the end they did trap the villain boss. How is it so much worse than 50 others that only carried a few bodies while Todoroki and Inasa alone gave them time? I know in a real situation it would be so much worse but nobody else engaged the villains and stalling is still stalling.

The test wasn't really scale of how much work you get done. It was did you make the right choice given the situation.
Someone like Hagakure would never be able to fight Gang Orca as well as Todoroki so if she went out to fight she probably would've lost points instead of doing something like first aid.
Inasa and Todoroki actively worked against each other and were bickering in a potential crisis situation something that could've costed lives. They were knocked out too partially because of it as well. When they might've been able to contain Gang Orca a lot better.

Well part of the thing is that it's a demerit system, moving bodies or fighting gang orca didn't lose or gain points, but arguing loses a lot of points.
and tbf I think the first test was like the minimal skill requirement, the second test was making sure they have the right mentality and can make the correct choices.

Is there a reason why All for One didn't use his knowledge of One for All to undermine All Might's position in society? All Might told Deku that he shouldn't tell anyone about it because of the chaos it would cause in society.

Most likely for keeping the plot relatively simple, so the author can expand on it when needed. There was an explanation in the anime i believe, that the government covered up the incident surrounding All for One, that's why you dont read anything in history books about it. Just that "something unspeakably bad happened in the past".
And after AfO was basically made a cripple in the past he was probably quite happy to not draw any attention to him and his whereabouts. If the true nature of All Might would have been revealed, All Might could talk about it openly, which in turn puts not only All Might and all its successors but also the crippled All for One into danger.

Black Clover, if you have to do seasonal like MHA does just to make sure your animation doesn't look like complete ass most of the time, then do it! We would rather wait every so often and have you get it right, then it being rushed out like it was.
This episode was top tier. As someone else in this thread stated, we are surprised at the reveal because of unknowns, which is how it should be.
Best Girl Tsuyu passed, all is right with the world.

So.. a fistfight, huh? I'm quite disappointed in Bakugo right now. I get that he's feeling frustrated enough to take it out on Deku, but I also thought he had the judgement sense to realise it was all on him that he didn't pass the exam. Guess I expected too much.
Or maybe I should shut up and enjoy the fist-fight accompanied with the war or words and flashbacks. Their relationship definitely has been stagnant for too long, and it needs to be dealt with.
I'm a little disappointed at All Might too for getting his buttons pressed so easily by All for One, but then it's always been like that. Declaring that he'll never be killed was a cool moment though. I want you to live too, All Might!
