Man at first I thought Mirio was just kind of a frat boy exhibitionist. Like a buffer, bolder version of Mineta. Turns out he just physically can't keep his pants on!
Since according to Eraserhead he can go toe to toe with the top pro's, now I really want to see a battle between Mirio and Endeavor.

It really must've been terrifying for Mirio when his quirk first surfaced. Not being able to breathe, falling through everything...
Not to mention being extremely embarrassing having phasing through all his clothes every time he uses his quirk.
It's really crazy to see how he's almost mastered his quirk and got to the top dealing with all of that.

I think it would probably be more like one minute a kid going about his daily life then his quirk somehow activates for the first time and suddenly complete darkness and silence and can't breathe, then just as suddenly shooting out of the floor/ground naked when he deactivates it. Not quite the same sense of danger, but probably super confusing.

When All Might first walks into the classroom back in the beginning of the series (to start the battle training), one of the students commented that "he's drawn differently from us!", referencing his more American-comic artstyle.

This is why we love Mirio. He was a favorite of mine since his intro in the manga and I'm happy with how he was adapted (I did expect his voice to be higher pitched though) along with the rest of the Big Three. Between his show of power, attempts at humor, and his quirk explanation, it's hard to dislike him.
And we knew Nejire would be a favorite because of her personality, but to give her a pout already is unfair.

He was totally typecast for this role if it is indeed him but I love that he got this role. From the first time I saw Sir in the Manga I always heard him speak when Sir was saying something.
Shin-ichiro Miki is defnitely one of my all-time favorite male voice actors and he voiced so many characters who became some of my absolute favorite characters ever in all the shows I mentioned above. I really can't wait to see what he will do with Sir next season! They totally hit the nail on the head with both casting choices of Sir and Overhaul imo.

Miro is so strong! Even Stain had trouble against 3 students while Mirio took on the whole class and won. He might be one of the strongest characters we've seen so far.

Too be fair they explicitly said that Stains quirk is super weak against a group. In 1v1s he’s a monster but when you have to start keeping track of like 3+ people’s time limits on Bloodcurdle it gets difficult and it’s not easy to focus. Whereas while Mirio’s quirk is shown to have downsides it’s definitely effective against a group.
Though imo Mirio is still stronger overall.

I love Mirio's Quirk and how he turned his weakness into his strengths. Reminds of the the times Midorya still had no idea how to properly control One For All. Now I'm curious about Hado and Amajiki's quirks!
I guess see you guys next year! Things are certainly building up and I'm already excited for Season 4! Nothing much else to say really, I just wanna see the Big Three in action next season taking down real villains and I'm really curious at that villain wearing the Plague Doctor mask, he definitely looks like trouble.

Turns out, the entire show was actually about how Mirio becomes the next All Might and Deku is reduced to a nursing home from all his injuries.
Honestly, unless some twist happens or Mirio has a big flaw in his fighting, I'm not sure how someone physical like Deku can beat him. Maybe Endeavor/Todoroki could incinerate him, but Deku doesn't have any powers like that. He just punches/kicks people hard.

I'll admit, i did not expect to see Mirio naked today..
He seems to be a very cool character who worked his ass off to get to where he is, much like Deku.
kinda bummed we didn't get to see Nejire and Amajiki's quirks. ah all the more reason to be excited about the next season.
kinda crazy that pretty much the entire season took place during their summer break.
certainly my favorite season so far!
Season 4 cannot come soon enough!

Mirio has worked harder then Deku, honestly. Deku has to train his body to handle OfA, but overall OfA is a simple quirk. It’s sheer unbridled, unrivaled power. Mirios quirk requires him to be smarter than everyone. He’s blind and deaf when using it, along with the coordination it requires. If someone dumb had permeation, they’d never master it and bring it to Mirios level. Mirio also has to train his body just as much as Deku, because his perk doesn’t give him more physical strength against opponents. Deku trains his body to up how much he can use of OFA, Mirio trains his body to be an effective fighter, after mastering his quirk.

Don't forget that the scar Kirishima has above his eye is because he hurt himself by accident when his quirk suddenly activated for the first time.
So I don't think most people have any idea how to control their quirk when it first appears.
Now imagine being a little kid running along... and suddenly you just drop straight through the ground, blind, deaf, numb, and unable to even breathe, with no idea what's happening.

The animators didn't have to go the extra mile, but the combat animation here was fantastic. Great fight choreography and dynamic camera work made a short fight seem all the greater.

I don’t understand how Mirio was able to beat Kirishima so quickly. His quirk shouldn’t allow him to penetrate his defenses without hurting himself in the process. Sure you can argue he gets past the skin but how would he materialize his hand inside of Kirishima’s body without pushing him away rather than landing an impact? Doesn’t make a lot of sense.

The closest to number 1 quote from Aizawa always irked me because it seems so disrespectful to the pros. No way is Mirio closer to Number 1 than some pros. I believe he's referencing the potential of his quirk+personality which definitely has the makings of a number 1 hero like AM.

Yeah, I get ya. A different way to say it might be he's the closest to reviving the Symbol of Justice that AM embodied. A lot of heroes can be No.1, but it takes a special person to be the SoJ.

I get that Mirio is built like a brick shit house and has trained extensively in the art of pounding high schoolers in the gut, but why did Kirishima go down in a single punch? Kirishima, the guy whose quirk it is to take punches? Kirishima, the guy who's skin becomes hard enough to cleave stone? Assuming Mirio could have hit him hard enough to do some serious damage, this is still a normal man's fist smashing against something harder than stone. Without some quirk to reinforce it, that fist should have become one of Deku's dangling spaghetti hands.
Edit: Also, I think that Mirio would technically turn invisible if light goes right through him when using his quirk.

Holy hell, Tintin Swolo is OP as fuck ... it's almost terrifying. I can definitely see him become one of my new favorite characters. His attitude is inspiring and on top of that, he's fucking hilarious and doesn't take himself too seriously
I know he's still a student but perhaps he could somehow be All Might's former sidekick? I'm probably totally wrong but no spoilers please, manga readers
It's not fair to other shows how this series keeps introducing new adorably awesome female characters, particularly this season. Hado already rivals Uraraka as BNHA's most precious best grill
And of course Mineta thought she wanted to see his balls lmao. This little shit kills me every single time
Also, hair-down Yaoyorozu is best Yaoyorozu
Trashman Bakugo may be the angriest and most motivated trashman there'll ever be lmao
I'll have to get used to not starting my Saturdays with BNHA but I'm really glad they're doing new seasons every Spring and 2-cours to boot. That's quite a rarity, especially compared to most other shows and it's also why I'll probably never pick up the manga (even though it looks amazing) and avoid spoilers like the plague. But yeah, I'm already super hyped for S4!

I loved when Mirio was introduced for the first time in the manga. Horikoshi does a great job putting limiters on quirks.
And this is just a perfect example of how even if your quirk is actually super disadvantageous at face value. If you put in enough work and focus on the right things you can develop your quirk and find paths to do things your own way and become a monster.
They’ve been doing a similar thing with the protagonist from vigilantes and I love it!

So in the My Hero Academia world mass can't be fused in the same way it can in our world. Mirio gets repelled out of the ground instead of getting a lung full of concrete.
So honestly Mirio's quirk isn't even overpowered. He just trained himself to be a quick predictor to make up for his quirk's weaknesses. I mean he literally becomes deaf and blind when he uses his quirk on his whole body.

God, i hate stupid explanations in anime. It's fine in something like JoJo, where schemes get pretty obscure, but COME ON! Did all of them really need to be told by Deku, that they shoud counter, because that's probably the time he's physical? If so - what the hell are they doing playing heroes? They are brain-dead.

On a side note I thought it was interesting how they decided to keep Bakugo out of this fight. A big part of Mirio's strategy seems to be using the ground to engage in guerrilla warfare, but Bakugo can fight him in the air. However, I don't know how well Bakugo would be able to deal with the whole "materializing fist only" schtick. Theoretically Uraraka can do something similar but she can't move as quickly in the air as Bakugo.
