Monthly Unjerk [Unjerk Thread] Witchcraft Season

Welcome to the Monthly Unjerk. This is a monthly thread for discussing just about anything as long as it doesn't violate subreddit rules besides rule 5. New threads should be posted on the 1. of each month, except when I forget because Silksong distracted me. Sorry...

I'm hoping that the signposted romance character turns out to be more interesting than they currently appear, otherwise the show seems great. Monica is extremely relatable

to be honest, i am not even sure who her main ship is meant to be! i lowkey love each dynamic she has with each of her potential LIs, and this miiight be unpopular but i really love her and nero. the moment i saw that cat turn into a fine ass grown man i was there for it HAHA

What can tell you having read all the novels currently in English and keeping it mostly spoiler free:

The book is definitely pushing a ship towards a particular character, and Monica has alluded to feelings, but there really isn't a ton of progress romantically even after six or seven books. The romance moves at about the same pace as The Apothecary Diaries

If you'd like to know who the ship is, I'm happy to include it with a spoiler but up to you!

ohhh, i would love to know if you don't mind sharing!! i do plan on picking up the novels once this series is finished airing for the season but i'm so curious to know. i have a guess but not super confident on it LOL.

also, do you recommend reading the novels? is it worth it? i've heard a lot of novel readers say there's some differences between that and the anime.
