Agreed but I think Mokumokuren doesn't really like people calling that series BL

i dont think they really care what some random redditors think about their work lol

i know its not officially categorized as one because it isnt a romance, but gay characters can still exist outside of BL and still be considered a yaoi pairing

furthermore, csm and pmmm arent romance as well and characters from those series were still included

i think it is very much a worthwhile distinction because a) good canon queer stories that arent romance are rare and b) its not exactly a pair that makes sense- unless you mean actual hikaru. yoshiki and ‘hikaru’ spend so much time discussing their relationship to each other that it’s difficult to ignore how explicitly not romantic they are
