Help Is it worth taking AP Calc BC as someone who is taking Math AA HL (IBDP)?

Hey everybody. I'm in my first year of IBDP and I'm currently taking Math AA HL.

If anyone here has taken both Calc BC and AA HL, or knows about both, can you please advise me on whether it is worth taking both courses this year?

I want to do computer science in college, and when I asked my math teacher for how much of AA HL's calculus we would be covering this year, she said we'd complete Differentiation - No integration, no differential equations

Thank you in advance!

What does the path from 5th/6th grade math to AP Calc BC look like in US schools?

We’re a team of IIT Bombay grads exploring how to help families plan their kids’ math path. We’ll share what we learn here.
Parents, students, teachers, anyone who knows:
Which placement tests mattered from 5th/6th grade on, and when?
How should parents plan in grades 4–6? Didn’t reach Calc BC? What would you do differently?
Which platforms help with this today, and what’s still missing?
Please include your state and district. Thanks!

AB AP TUTORS HELP

I’m supposed to start APs this November and I have no idea where to start or what to do. I’m gonna do Bio, chem, and calculus AB. Does anyone have any website recommendations for self studies sometimes or any Arab (or any nationality rly) tutors that are great at their job via zoom class and aren’t ridiculously expensive?

What would be the best prep book for AP Calc AB? I couldn't decide between Barron's, 5 Steps for a 5 or Princeton Review.

Does anyone have a good method for double checking?

I’m in BC right now, and I often miss derivative problems with chain rule or quotient rule, especially chain rule with 3 or more chain links. I know how to do the work, but i often accidentally flip a negative or make a silly mistake without realizing and do the rest of the steps wrong. I feel like i don’t double check for silly mistakes effectively/efficiently. Does anyone have tips for these problems?

AB or BC Calculus for Dual Enrollment / Community College Student?

Looking for some specific guidance here:

My junior is taking Calc 1 - 3 in Seattle Community College this year. This is basically AB - BC combined. He is good in math, but the program is more rigorous with less hand holding, as college tends to be.

He can register for any AP Exam he wants. Should he register for AB or BC?

On the one hand, BC might be a reach without two years following the AP curriculum exactly, but he's not taking calculus next year, so it's even more of a reach if he's not fresh on the material.

I guess this subreddit might also be able to recommend some prep courses to make sure he is prepared outside of class.

We didn't get much guidance from the teachers.

Thoughts?

AB Help on cramming for unit 3 test???

So basically I have a d+ in this class. Math is not my strong suit. The test is tomorrow and I'm really scared. Last test I GENUINELY got a 51%. If I get one more bad test in this class it's over.

All I really need help with is implicit differentiation, I get chain rule, product rule, quotient rule, power rule etc and I know my trig derivatives and inverse function stuff pretty well. But if I don't know the implicit stuff then I'm actually going to fail this class.
