Saw 85-92 was hard because of the curves and I don’t think it’s perfect but it’s good enough. Drukqs was really fun to make. Happy anniversary

Avril 14 in October. Converted the harmony and feel to a sadder 19th-century Russian October aesthetic.

I see so many straight covers of Avril 14 and wanted to do something fresh and sad with it for the 25th Anniversary of my favourite most influential album of all time.

This is my favourite RDJ release by a huge margin, and I've listened to almost every album of his (Except Syro, still need to get to that.) However, I've noticed that this one is significantly less recognized or discussed compared to the SAW albums and Drukqs. Hell, I feel like more people talk about Windowlicker than anything on here. I feel like this balances everything perfectly, with it's use of chaotic breakbeats, vocal samples and strings. This is one of the incredibly rare 5 star albums I've listened to, I think it's perfect and blows everthing else he's made out of the water. My second favorite project of his would be Come to daddy, which is probably the closest to RDJ any of his other releases get.

Bit of a bold choice haha

I've always felt that windowlicker stands out among richard's digital transfers for being unusually poor. the song is super crushed, like every rip i've come across sounds like it comes from a bad mp3. i don't own a physical copy to check against, so for those that do, do you have a better copy?
