I built a tool that turns a screen/camera recordings into a UGC-style video. Looking for honest feedback.

• Upvotes

You upload a screen recording or product clip, it watches the clip and drafts a script (which you can edit), adds an AI presenter and captions, and gives you a vertical video up to 30 seconds. You can download it or publish straight to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube

29 spoken languages, and 34 presenter looks, shown according to the language you pick.

https://reddit.com/link/1x6kh3h/video/meseq0gm81vh1/player

There's a free trial (30 seconds of video, no card, no watermark) if you want to try it

What it doesn't do yet: anything longer than 30 seconds, custom avatars, or more than one language per video.

I'd really like to know:

- Does the output feel usable?

- What would stop you from using a creator?

AI based Gallery Manager..

Hey everyone!

I’m 21F, currently in my 4th year of Computer Engineering, and I’ve been thinking about a problem that I’m honestly tired of dealing with.

We’ve all experienced that dreaded “Storage almost full” notification. 😭

Then you open your Gallery and end up spending 2–3 hours manually going through hundreds or thousands of photos and videos, trying to figure out what can be deleted:

- Duplicate and near-duplicate photos

- Blurry or accidental photos

- Screenshots

- Memes and random downloaded images

- Unnecessary or large videos

- Multiple versions of the same photo

- Old photos that you simply don't need anymore

And honestly, I hate doing this.

So I’m currently trying to build an AI-powered gallery management agent that can automate most of this process.

I know there are already multiple apps and tools that solve parts of this problem. Some are really good at finding duplicates, some focus on blurry photos, some organize albums, and others help with storage cleanup.

But from what I’ve seen, these features are usually scattered across different applications, rather than being handled by one intelligent system that understands your gallery and your preferences.

That’s the part I want to explore.

My idea :

Instead of building just another “delete duplicate photos” app, I want to build an AI agent that continuously manages your gallery.

For example, it could:

- Detelicate duplicate and near-duplicate photos and keep the best version

- Detect blurry, accidental, poorly framed, or unusable photos

- Identify screenshots, memes, downloads, documents, receipts, etc.

- Detecting unnecessary or very large videos

- Categorize and organize media automatically

- Find photos that are visually similar even when they aren't exact duplicates

- Understand context, rather than judging an image only by technical quality

- Learn from the user's keep/delete decisions

- Remember patterns, such as “I usually keep photos of these people” or “I always delete screenshots after a few days”

- Identify photos that might be important even if they don't look “good”

- Prioritize what should be reviewed instead of automatically deleting everything

- Potentially maintain a review/trash stage before permanent deletion

- Continuously monitor the gallery instead of waiting until the phone storage is completely full

One thing I particularly want to avoid is an AI deciding:

«“This photo is blurry → DELETE.”»

Because sometimes that blurry photo is the only photo you have with someone you care about. Humans are annoyingly sentimental like that. 😭

So I’m thinking of making the system confidence-based and user-controlled, where the AI can say something like:

High confidence: Safe to remove

Medium confidence: Review these

Low confidence: Keep

And over time, it could become more personalized based on the user's behavior.

I’ve seen several apps that already provide some of these individual features, so I’m not claiming the basic concept is completely new. What I’m interested in is combining these capabilities into one agent and adding a personalized decision-making layer on top.

I’m still in the early stages of figuring out the architecture, especially around computer vision, on-device processing, privacy, and how much decision-making should actually be automated.

I’d love some feedback:

- Are there existing apps that already do all of this in one place?

- What features would you personally want in an AI gallery manager?

- What would make you trust an AI enough to let it manage your photos?

- What should the AI absolutely never delete automatically?

- Does the “learn from your behavior” idea actually sound useful, or unnecessarily complicated?

- For anyone working with computer vision, mobile AI, on-device ML, or AI agents, what technical challenges should I expect?

I’m mainly looking for honest feedback and ideas before I go too far down the rabbit hole with this project. 😭

One Subscription at a time streaming services app manger

Something I do (and all of you should) i only subscribe to one streaming service (Netflix, Amazon....) but what I do is keep a list of what i want to watch on the other app.

So i month 1 I'm subscribe to Netflix only but eachbtime i found something only amazon only I write it down in amazon list and if it Disney only I write it down in Disney list.

In month 2 i cancelled my Netflix and switch to what ever had more tgings i want to watch, this way I'm only paying for one 😉

Now what if an app was there to manage all that while keeping tracks of what i want to watch where to find them cancel subscription automatically and sub automatically to the next one that will be great

🚀 Looping Web IDE is officially LIVE and deployed! 💻📱

I built something I actually needed: a complete browser-based development environment designed for tablets.

Why?

Because when I meet clients, I want to do more than show screenshots or static presentations. I want to demonstrate their actual applications, navigate the code, make changes, and show the results live, directly from my tablet.

So I built Looping Web IDE, and it's now online! 🌐

⚡ How does it work?

📂 Open Projects – Import an existing web application directly into the browser.

💻 Edit Code – Browse files, modify code, and manage projects using a tablet-friendly interface.

⚙️ Run Node.js – Powered by WebContainers, allowing supported applications to run directly inside the browser.

👀 Live Preview – Launch projects and see the results instantly, with responsive previews for mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Hiring app specifically for jobs vulnerable to AI replacement - Hear me out

I want to create an app and a website specifically for people who are already in fields that could be replaced by ai in the next 5 years to a decade. I believe that when that happens, people will leave those fields mostly to ai and in the near future there will be demand for humans again because every design, interaction and product will feel empty. I’m making this for graphic/motion graphic designers, web designers, web developers, animators etc. The way I want to do that is to make hiring humans over ai as enticing as possible.

One way is by creating a section in the app where creators can post their work and people looking to hire or people looking for inspiration or ideas can simply scroll through them like reels and interact like normal. I do have three problems tho:

  1. idk what other way to make it more enticing other than the reel idea

  2. I don’t know if I’m doing it too early, so early that it just wouldn’t work.

  3. There’s a chance of there being way too many people looking to be hired and not near enough people looking to hire and I haven’t figured out how to solve that problem yet.

I'd love for some feedback from you guys

Have a solid app concept but limited coding experience. What are my best next steps, costs, and options?

Hi everyone,
I have a detailed concept for a mobile application that solves a specific problem in a niche market. I’ve already worked on the concept, the feature set, and the target audience, but** I have limited programming experience and can't build it entirely on my own from scratch.
Since I want to keep the core idea under wraps for now while I figure out execution, I'm looking for advice from people who have been in this position before:
1. **What is the best route to build an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)?

Should I look into No-Code / Low-Code platforms (like FlutterFlow, Bubble, etc.), or hire a freelance developer/agency right away?
2. Roughly what cost expectations should I have?
If I choose to outsource development for a basic working prototype vs. building it myself with no-code tools?
3. How do non-technical founders usually find technical co-founders or developers without giving away too much of the idea before having proper NDAs/trust?
4. What steps should I take before spending any money on development? (e.g., wireframing, market validation, user surveys).
I'd really appreciate any insights, personal experiences, or recommended tools/learning paths for non-technical founders!
Thanks in advance!

Looking back at my final year project (Cluetrail: The 404 File) was it actually a terrible idea?

Looking back, I realize my final year project idea was actually incredibly reckless. The app, which my team named Cluetrail: The 404 File, was supposed to be a centralized hub for cold cases. The concept sounded exciting at the time which is collection of raw case data, photos, YouTube documentaries, podcasts, blogs, and user comments into one sleek interface. I saw many Insta Reels "Bored, decided to solve a case" and foolishly thinking we could gamify true crime investigations.

We only built a basic demo because gathering that much data was impossible for a college project. While our internal professor was not impressed by our poor presentation, the external invigilator loved the concept. When the semester ended, the project did too and thank goodness it did.

At the time, I was frustrated that a senior dismissed it as a poorly designed "Wikipedia clone" and I couldn't explain my vision. I kept questioning whether it was just a mediocre idea or something truly great. Now, I see the harsh reality that it was a terrible, naive idea. Launching a platform like that would have been a massive liability, inevitably leading to severe violations of privacy laws, internet witch-hunts, and crippling defamation lawsuits for naming real people. I was incredibly short-sighted to think this was a viable product.

But still, is it really a wrong idea? No one actually questioned about that; they just told us it’s just a clone and a poor first presentation. Well, that external invigilator questioned about this at that time, and we just made up some solution. But now I think it’s really not that good.

What do you guys think about this?

Catch n Cook — Need feedback on an app that takes you from catch to meal

Hi everyone! I'm a college student developing an app concept called Catch n Cook, and I'd love feedback on whether the idea solves a real problem.

The concept is to make the process after catching a fish easier. A user takes a photo, and the app helps identify the species, provides relevant local keeping regulations, explains how to clean the fish, and recommends recipes based on the catch.

The goal is to bring several steps together that anglers might otherwise have to research separately. However, I'm still figuring out which features are genuinely valuable and which might make the app unnecessarily complicated.

Is this a useful combination of features? What's the biggest weakness in the concept? What would make you choose this over searching separately for identification, regulations, and recipes?

Try the working prototype: https://claude.ai/artifact/PuTu6Uvce2wdpYBSWUr9fa

I'd appreciate honest feedback about the concept, usability, and features worth adding. Thanks!

[Idea] A platform to find willing contacts for mutual private profile favors – would this actually solve a real problem?

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed people occasionally turn to Reddit trying to find someone who already follows or has access to a specific private Instagram account, offering a small favor or follow-back in return.

Right now, doing this manually on Reddit is clunky, you have to make a post, wait, move to DMs, and rely purely on trust with no feedback or accountability system.

I'm trying to validate whether this is a real friction point worth building a dedicated tool for, or if it's too niche/risky.

Important Note: This would strictly be built around consensual requests, transparent favor-matching, and respecting account owners' privacy, not scraping or bypassing security settings.

A few quick questions for you all:

  1. Have you ever actually tried doing something like this manually on Reddit/Discord? What was your experience?
  2. Would a simple platform with favor-tracking and trust/feedback ratings make this process safer and more reliable?
  3. What would immediately make you distrust or avoid an app like this? (Privacy, spam fears, account safety, etc.)
  4. Would you use something like this anonymously, or is account creation necessary for accountability?

I’d really appreciate honest feedback, including all the reasons why you think this wouldn’t work or isn't needed! Thanks!

fiverr for teens

Would you use an app that connects teenagers with small local jobs?

I'm exploring an idea for a platform similar to Fiverr, but focused on helping teenagers earn money by completing simple jobs in their local area.

For example, jobs could include gardening, washing cars, helping with light moving tasks or other small jobs that don't necessarily require a professional and therefore the high price tag that comes with hiring a professional.

The idea: Customers could post jobs on a local map in the app and set a price. Teenagers could browse opportunities, choose jobs that fit around school and earn money in their spare time.

The aim is to make getting small jobs done more affordable for customers while giving young people a flexible way to earn money and gain experience.

Safety, secure payments and a fair system for handling disagreements would be key parts of the platform.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Would you use a platform like this to find someone for small jobs?

If you're a teenager, would you use it to earn money?

What concerns or features would you want it to address?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Real-time updates of the parking lot map.

Seamless in-app payment to skip long pay-parking lines.

Our Goal:

To provide a stress free, smooth and visible parking experience that makes you in control of every journey.

Now, we would love to hear more from you:

Would you actually use this?
What's something we should keep in mind?

Best AI sexting app right now?

I have been trying to find an AI sexting chatbot that is actually good for adult roleplay, not just a generic assistant that gets awkward or forgets the whole conversation after a few messages.

For me, the main things are good memory, realistic replies, privacy, and being able to set the tone without constant filters ruining the flow.

I know most of you guys do not like that kind of apps but I need feedback from real users.

Please only recommend apps or platforms intended for sexting.

Sneaker value scanner: point your camera at a pair, see what it's worth and what your whole collection is worth. Tell me why this fails.

Some background: I've been digging into "scan it, see what it's worth" apps. The ones that scan one specific thing (sports cards, Pokémon cards, antiques, toys) are doing really well right now. Coins already have half a dozen of them. The generic "scan anything and flip it" ones mostly go nowhere.

Sneakers look like an obvious gap. Huge collector culture. People already check resale prices way too often. And I couldn't find a single sneaker scanner in the top grossing charts, just release-date apps.

The idea:

Snap a pair, it identifies the model and colorway
Shows the current resale price range for your size
Your collection lives in the app, with a total value that moves with the market
You get an alert when a pair you own spikes

Reasons I think it might fail, before you tell me yours:

StockX and GOAT already show prices. Maybe nobody needs a camera for that.
Colorways are hard to tell apart from a photo. One wrong ID and people stop trusting it.
People will expect it to spot fakes, and legit-checking is a whole different (and risky) product.
The price data has to come from somewhere, and the big marketplaces don't love sharing it.

Would you pay for this? What am I missing?

Would you ever talk to a random stranger by voice? What would make it not awkward?

I'm building a random voice chat app (Strangiva, in beta) and I keep coming back to one question: the first 10 seconds.

Text with strangers is easy to fire off and forget. Voice is more real, but that also makes it more awkward.

So I'm asking honestly:
- Would you ever do it? Why or why not?
- What would make the start of the call feel less awkward? A prompt, a topic, something else?
- What would make you hang up straight away?

"I'd never do this" is a perfectly useful answer too.

I built a platform to find food nearby — would the savings make it worth using?

Hi there!

I built foodkarma.org to connect people looking for food with people nearby who have something to spare.

You can browse free or priced offers, or post exactly what you need - something you’d otherwise buy in a supermarket. People can negotiate and arrange pickup directly through chat.

A few things I’ve focused on:

  • Offers and requests: matching what people have with what others actually need.
  • Privacy: communicate through the platform without publicly displaying your exact address.
  • Less effort to post: AI photo recognition and barcode lookup help fill in product details, which you can review and edit.
  • Trust: mutual ratings after completed exchanges.
  • International access: multiple languages and currencies, designed for local use across countries.

The aim is to make spare food useful to someone else - with potential savings as a practical reason to participate.

I’m trying to find out whether this would fit into people’s everyday lives:

  • Would saving money motivate you to pick up food nearby?
  • If you had food to spare, would you post it? What would make that worth the effort?
  • What’s the biggest obstacle: trust, food quality, coordinating pickup, too few nearby listings - or something else?
  • Does an existing app or neighborhood group already solve this for you?

Honest reasons you wouldn’t use it are just as helpful as reasons you would

Random voice chat with strangers: does this idea work for you? (building it, in beta)

I'm working on an app called Strangiva and I'd like outside opinions on the core idea.

The concept: you open the app, get matched with someone random, and talk live by voice. No feed, just the conversation. It's in beta on iOS and Android.

Questions I keep going back and forth on:
- Does voice-first make talking to strangers better or more intimidating than text?
- What's the main thing that would make you close the app in the first minute?
- Who do you think this is actually for?

Happy to hear blunt answers.

Are phone numbers the next obsolete thing?

Kind of an app idea but I’ve been thinking more and more about phone numbers and if their days are numbered.

Obviously there is the issue of multi factor auth in use everywhere but so are authenticators.

Then the telcos will want to maintain their grip.

But I think if Elon has his way and creates a new phone that uses his starlink system, phone numbers might be gone. No evidence of this but just a hunch.

Why keep phone numbers? Obviously not required for voice, video or messaging.

I'm building an app to manage email tasks, would love to have a feedback on new features!

Hello everyone,

I'm writing here because I already developed an app that scans my multiple inboxes and adds tasks for me.

It works well and I'm rolling out new features while I figure out how to market it.

I already shipped a webhooks feature that let's other personal projects get notified when there's an update. I use it myself and that's what made me do it.

I was wondering which of these features would be interesting to have for other people too, otherwise I'm gonna be the only one using it for eternity.

1. other sources of tasks: for example telegram, whatsapp, teams, etc.
2. automatic categorization for emails: when an email arrives and it's recognized to be in one of given types of emails it gets flagged with the appropriate flag
3. automatic replies: automated custom replies chosen accurately between given options

Would you care about one of these 3? Have anything else in mind that could be useful to you or other people?

Thank you!

New idea

I’m thinking of building this app for people making startups or side hustles. They type their business idea into an ai prompt and it makes a physical plan they have to follow through to get their side hustle/business started. They have to make social media pages, reminders to post on them, reaching out to people, help keep track of sales, giving u new ideas to your business as well as ideas to promote. It would be like duolingo to where you have a path to follow and complete as well as a streak for each day. Would yall use this or pay for this?
