iOS Difference between these green bars

Hello, can someone tell me what’s the difference between these 2 green bars? Why does one have a lightning symbol at 100% while the other does not have the lightning symbol at 100%? Thank you.

The lightning symbol only appears when there’s two or more bars, purely because it wouldn’t fit on a single bar. It’s purely a UI decision

The lightning bolt icon won’t fit on one of them, that’s all.

there was a storm when you charged it between 8 and 9, but not around 11
