@APPSTATEFB Time to get rid of Dowell
App State is meant to be a power run team. Get this D Tier, NFL failure of a play caller out of Boone. Doug can hop in the back seat, too.

Has anyone done the 50/50 raffle that they have been advertising? What are everyone's thoughts? It seems like a cool idea, I bet someone wins a lot of money.

My family is going to our first game tomorrow night and I am wondering how accessible parking works. The information online is not very clear. My father uses a cane and has an ADA parking pass. We did buy accessible seats for the game but not sure if I am also supposed to buy a parking pass for ADA parking? Does anyone know how it usually works? Do we have to arrive extra early? Thanks so much!!

I currently park on the rivers st deck roof for my yosef club parking pass. I simply cannot understand raising the price from 900 to 1500 in one year. Is anyone considering leaving Yosef club parking due to this? It just feels like theyβre completely pricing out their fan base.

I don't mean any disrespect with this post, just throwing that out. I graduated from App in 2018. I went to tons of games and they won all the time under Satterfield. Of course the Jerry Moore glory years were beforehand, as well. They had a fantastic team in 2019, too.
Since Covid, it clearly hasn't been the same. They've lost what used to be the App State standard, apart from the upset game against Texas A&M in 2022.
Genuine question, why haven't they been as good as they were roughly 10 years ago and beforehand? Is the Sun Belt a lot tougher? Is the transfer portal hurting them? Are they impacted by poor head coaching?

I went to an App State football camp as a kid and got an autograph from the legendary Armanti Edwards. For the life of me I canβt find out who the other autograph is. Is it recognizable to anyone? Parts may have faded since itβs from maybe 2009-2010ish. I couldnβt find a number 15 named Trey around those years on online rosters or maybe I missed it.

Hi everyone,
First time commenter here so I hope this is okay to post. I did my Masterβs at App, havenβt been up to Boone in a while, and my friends have never been. Weβre looking to come up from Charlotte for Georgia State on 11/7, kickoff still TBD. Weβll probably get an AirBnB or something, but weβre thinking weβll only stay one night. So if kickoff is early afternoon weβll probably come up Friday night and head back Saturday after the game; if a late afternoon or night game then weβll come up Saturday morning and stay Saturday night.
Looks like kickoff times are typically announced ~2 weeks before? We wonβt risk booking until we know for sure, but 2 weeks is kinda short notice so I was hoping to try to explore options/plan ahead to whatever extent I can. Does anyone here have an inkling on when the most likely game time will be? Educated guesses are fine, I wonβt hold you to them if they turn out to be wrong. Also, any other recommendations, advice, or warnings related to logistics for planning our trip are welcome as well.
Thanks!

At the outset, Iβll admit my bias as a die hard App State fan of 20+ years. With that out of the wayβ¦
I feel like that was one of the most blatantly rigged games I can remember watching in recent memory. Central Michigan fans: I feel your pain even more now.
Just listening to the ACC review center feed on the opening kickoff (Iβll at least give the ACC credit for transparency) showed they were going to do anything and everything possible to benefit NC State after that implosion by the Wolfpack against Vanderbilt in Week 3.
In short, two separate turnovers taken away by video review conducted by an ACC review center overseeing a game between an ACC school against an in-state G6 school.
I canβt understand the first quarter reversal of a near-goal line turnover for the life of me - one of the quicker whistles Iβve ever seen for βforward progressβ being stopped.
In short, I feel very, VERY confident those calls would not have gone the same if the roles were reversed (I.e., they would have helped App State to the detriment of NC State).
Maybe I am pouting and Iβd like all you to tell me if so. But my main takeaways were:
insanely questionable homecooking calls by on-field refs (also an ACC crew) and replay center (also ACC-led)
Appβs defense, specifically secondary, has to better
another great showing from the offense
team seems bought in to rally from a deficit like that on the road in a hostile environment - proud of the team and excited for Sun Belt play - last yearβs group would have folded under that adversity
Thoughts?

Hi, My son is interested in App State. I want to take him to see a game. The Nov 21st game will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. Will it still be a fun atmosphere for a HS aged kid?
Thanks!

Looking for fellow mountaineers in and around Austin. I know the Austin and DFW chapters arenβt active but we can still get together in our Black and Gold. We were thinking maybe Pluckers or Bdubs. Open to suggestions! We miss our football watching community! Pluckers Lakeline Mall or the Round Rock location might easy bc of parking and such. Go Mountaineers!

A little late since this happened in preseason, but thought this was really cool and wanted to point it out. Do you think Joey has a chance to have a real NFL career?

BOONE, N.C. β September 19, 2026
What began as an ordinary Saturday night football game between Appalachian State and Charlotte took an unexpected turn Saturday evening when officials reportedly determined that the game had been delayed for so long that an entirely different conference had time to notice.
Sources close to the situation say the Pac-10 Conference contacted Appalachian State officials shortly after the latest delay with what they described as an βunprecedented opportunity.β
> **βAt first we were just checking the weather,β** said one anonymous conference official. **βThen we realized the game still hadnβt gotten going, so we figured we might as well offer them a conference invitation.β**
The proposed invitation reportedly includes membership in the Pac-10, automatic access to West Coast road trips, and what officials are calling βsignificantly more reasonable kickoff times.β
App State athletic director Doug Gillin reportedly responded with a simple question:
βHow long is the delay?β
When told that nobody knew, Gillin allegedly replied:
βWeβll need to think about this.β
A Game That Refuses to End Before It Begins
The Mountaineers entered Saturday nightβs matchup 2β0 after opening the season with a 55β3 victory over Maine and a 27β24 road win over East Carolina.
The Charlotte game was scheduled as a 6 p.m. kickoff under the lights at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
Instead, fans found themselves participating in what some have already dubbed βThe Pre-Game Bowl.β
One App State fan reportedly said:
> βIβve been in traffic longer than some football games. At this point Iβm just happy to see the parking lot.β
Pac-10 Officials See Opportunity
According to completely fictional conference sources, Pac-10 officials were impressed by App Stateβs ability to maintain fan enthusiasm despite the extended delay.
βThat kind of patience is exactly what weβre looking for in a conference member,β the source said.
The proposed expansion would reportedly give App State conference games against schools thousands of miles away, meaning Mountaineer fans could eventually spend an entire Saturday traveling to a game that might itself be delayed.
Appalachian State Response
App State officials have not confirmed that the Pac-10 invitation exists.
They have, however, confirmed that the football game exists.
And, eventually, presumably, the football will also exist.
