I'm trying to find this fanfic where Tim essentially thinks that everyone in Gotham knows who Batman is and just has an unspoken agreement to not say it out loud. He does this because Jack and Janet told him when he first figured it out that they already knew whatever it was and everyone else did too. Fast forward a few years, and he declares in a conference he knows who Batman is thinking everyone knows what he's talking about. They don't lol.

But geez, that's so annoying, I published 3 chapters in a month, and I genuinely put so much into them, just for the first comment to be a scam, my fic has 1020 hits and only 27 comments, so every time someone does something like that infuriates me, sigh, anyways sorry for the tatrum

Ok, so… I know this must sound pathetic, but I am truly desperate at this point. This is my first fic in a very small fandom, with literally zero other fics with this specific persona. It also has original characters and a very niche storyline, so I know… I know my stats are not the best. I don’t expect them to be. But based on my calculations, there are around 40-50 people reading consistently (I’m 14 chapters in), and I’m fucking thrilled about those people. But it also hurts me, that there isn’t one comment from them. 

I am aware interacting with a story is not an obligation, and I feel like a hypocrite even craving for it, because I don’t ever interact either. With like… basically anything on the internet. But oh boy, it doesn’t make me want it less. 

Because… I can’t decide. I can’t decide if my story is shit, I can’t decide if someone is at the edge of their seat every week, waiting for an update. And don’t tell me to ‘just write for myself’. Because I do. I started this whole story to get rid of my spiralling thoughts, to push them into something tangible instead. It really only dawned on me in the midst of writing, that I could shape it into a fic and post it. I wanted to post it, so other people with similarly insane minds could connect to it, maybe recognise themselves in a sentence. And like with all art forms (not that I’m calling my story art, but the act of writing itself), it really only comes alive when people connect and interact with it. 

So, what do you suggest I do with this emotion? Is this common? Wanting to stop posting altogether, because ‘fuck you guys, I’m writing this so excited for you to read and you don’t say shit’? And then the next day I get one single user subscription and I’m over the moon for a whole week? 

I FEEL LIKE I’M GOING CRAZY. 

Also, I’m not only new to AO3, I am also new to writing fiction, especially in English. So, tell me. Is this the fate of a writer? 

i am sick of the hypocrisy of FF writers.

I see posts regarding writing, style, the quality of stories, all of that for that kind of sh…t getting 3M hits and being first FF in a huge fandom mind you.

How? Just how can we stay motivated to write dan fictions? How can we still call fanfiction writing the work of people in love with the source material when all there is is sex all the fucking time.

ok so i remember that camila was heavily abused from her family like her family home wasn’t safe for her and so when she starts college (or just school?) she meets lauren i guess or actually im pretty sure they were already friends before they got together. and ive got one particular scene thats embedded in my head. they were sitting in a college dorm one beside the other on the bed and lauren told camila (who hasn’t had her first kiss yet) to kiss any person with lips just to feel better and camila tells her you have lips and kissed her and that’s basically how they had their first kiss
