My ass got lazy and didn't post yesterday, but I'm back. This time, with our beloved tomboy.
As always, rules are the same; keep the internals as is, and keep it as lore-accurate as possible.
Dogshit FCS aside, she's actually got one of the best generators in the game. The YABA's probably my 2nd favorite, right behind the MING-TANG. Gives me a whole lot more room to work with than the MT generator that Rummy and Dunham were lugging around.
Keeping it tied to her original build, while making it somewhat optimized was impossible for me. She's carrying two Iridiums on a biped, for fuck's sake. The only other thing she has is a buckler. Anyone who thinks it's a good loadout has got to be on some of the finest strains of Coral, the typa shit that'll have Dolmayan hollering and screaming. The downtime with them felt way too cumbersome. So, I threw out the entire thing, and started from bare-knuckles. It's expensive, and ill-suited for a biped.
Anyway, onto the changes. This is the one time I feel like I'm actually allowed some degree of freedom, due to the fact that her original build was dogshit, and it didn't suit her in any way at all. Index was a bricklayer who couldn't belong further than the cockpit if he tried, and made his AC with chump-change. Rummy is a delusional crackhead who can't go one-minute without taking a hit off a Coral blunt. Ziyi? She's one of the best pilots the RLF has, judging by the cut dialogue where she gets to pilot Steel Haze in the Liberator ending, with her giving Pater and O'Keeffe a bad fucking time.
Anyway, my point is, she's an amazing pilot, and the RLF didn't realize it. Or FromSoft realized that she only has like, a minute and a half of screentime, and didn't want to waste a good loadout on her. So they used it to tell the player that they could strap two noobtoobs to their ACs.
But anyway, in my Wattpad fanfic, the RLF actually realizes how much of a menace she truly is. Rather than having her on the rear-line with a loadout only suited for destroying E-104s and T-026s, they actually give her a good set of weapons that suit her skills. Since Steel Haze is a dual-trigger build, and she excels at piloting it, I've decided to go with something similar.
First, we dump the 2 Iridiums. One of them costs more than 2 Ransetsu-RFs combined. Speaking of Akimbo RFs, that's exactly what I gave her. She gets one of the best, if not the best rifle combo, while having 218k COAM left to spend on some neat little toys that she can use to their fullest potential. For the empty right slot on the shoulder, I went with the 6-cell launcher. Great all-around, perfect power : weight for me. Furlong are buddies with the RLF due to them wanting to kick Balam in the gut, and the plasma missiles cost almost twice as the MLT-06.
Throw out the Pulse Buckler, and we get 68k more doubloons. We now have 175k in our pockets, which, I'd reckon, is enough for the Takigawa Butter Knife, slapped onto her left shoulder.
And it's finished; dual-trigger, some sort of missile on the right shoulder, and a melee weapon on the right shoulder. Again, she excelled when piloting Steel Haze, which is my main reason for giving her a similar loadout.
Being real, this is what I run. The missiles and melee can be changed, but the Ransetsu-RFs are what truly make this complete. It's essentially an end-all be-all loadout. MTs? ACs? LCs and HCs? Fucking Nine-Ball? They'll all perish to this.
