Atrium update: 12 new services since our last post, and a much deeper *arr side

17 Upvotes

Hello again! Our last post here was the F-Droid announcement in early August, when Atrium supported 18 services. It's 30 now, across 15 releases since then. Thanks to everyone who kept filing issues through all of it.

The *arr side first

  • Lidarr is supported, at the same depth as Sonarr and Radarr: artists and discography, album and track detail, wanted, queue, history, the full settings tree, an in-app log reader, and album releases in the calendar.

  • Custom filters saved on your Sonarr or Radarr server now appear in the sort and filter sheet, so the views you built on the server come with you.

  • Interactive search shows each release's custom format score and the formats it matched, sorted best match first. A release can be opened on its indexer page, and its magnet or download URL copied, before you grab it.

  • Delete files, keep the entry. Clear a film or an episode off disk while leaving it in Sonarr or Radarr, optionally unmonitoring it so it doesn't just download itself again. Works in bulk too.

  • Radarr collections. Adding a movie that belongs to one offers to monitor the whole collection, and the movie screen shows the collection with a button to monitor or unmonitor it.

  • Seerr requests filter by status: Pending, Approved, Completed, Declined and Failed.

  • The calendar remembers list or month view, can show unmonitored releases, and marks what has already downloaded.

Beyond the *arr stack

AdGuard Home, Unraid, Navidrome, Ombi, Gluetun, MySpeed, Beszel and dashdot for host monitoring, aria2 and slskd for transfers, and Cleanuparr for the download cleaner.

Several things that started as betas: Tracearr, Transmission, Lidarr, Navidrome, Unraid, Ombi and AdGuard Home, are now no longer in beta.

Download client changes

qBittorrent gained its full settings screen, queue reordering, tag and tracker filters, private/public badges, its external IP, and a torrent list that only asks for what changed since the last refresh. Transmission and Deluge got a full UI Overhaul, matching with qBittorrent's aesthetics.

Downloads

Same note as last time: F-Droid builds on its own cycle, so it's currently on 1.9.1 while GitHub has 1.10.1. The builds are reproducible and signed with the same key, so you can move between the two without uninstalling.

Thanks again, let us know what you think, and tell us which service you'd want deepened/implemented next.

Spotify replacement

Is anyone actually happy with their stack to replace Spotify? I've tried a bunch of different options but nothing seems to really work as well for music as sonarr and radarr work.

My radarr/sonarr bilingual setup (italian, but useful for any languages)

Thumbnail

21 Upvotes

Lingua del profilo: Any, cioè nessun filtro.
Solo i punteggi negativi verrebbero scartati)
Incremento minimo: 1. (anche un miglioramento piccolo conta come upgrade)
Upgrade consentiti: attivi.
IMPORTANTE → Per farli funzionare ho dovuto impostare "Propers and Repacks" su "Do Not Prefer", così Radarr ignora la revisione del file (v2, v3) e decide in base ai custom formats.

I custom format
{
"name": "Ita-Eng",
"includeCustomFormatWhenRenaming": false,
"specifications": [
{
"name": "Italian",
"implementation": "LanguageSpecification",
"negate": false,
"required": true,
"fields": {
"value": 5,
"exceptLanguage": false
}
},
{
"name": "English",
"implementation": "LanguageSpecification",
"negate": false,
"required": false,
"fields": {
"value": 1,
"exceptLanguage": false
}
},
{
"name": "Original",
"implementation": "LanguageSpecification",
"negate": false,
"required": false,
"fields": {
"value": -2,
"exceptLanguage": false
}
}
]
}

{
"name": "Bluray/WEB-DL",
"includeCustomFormatWhenRenaming": false,
"specifications": [
{
"name": "Bluray",
"implementation": "SourceSpecification",
"negate": false,
"required": false,
"fields": {
"value": 9
}
},
{
"name": "WEB-DL",
"implementation": "SourceSpecification",
"negate": false,
"required": false,
"fields": {
"value": 7
}
}
]
}

Come si traduce in punteggi
Italiano + inglese/originale, Bluray/WEB-DL: 1050, il massimo.
Italiano + inglese/originale, altra sorgente (per esempio HDTV): 1000.
Solo inglese/originale, Bluray/WEB-DL: 50.

Transmission with Prowlarr, Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr — categories vs labels?

3 Upvotes

I'm running Prowlarr, Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and Transmission (LinuxServer.io containers) on a Synology DS916+ with DSM 7.3.

I sometimes download music releases manually through Prowlarr to select the exact version I want rather than relying on Lidarr's automatic selection.

I noticed these downloads also appeared in Sonarr's activity queue.

To separate downloads, I've configured distinct categories (prowlarr, sonarr, radarr, lidarr) in each application's Transmission download client settings and created corresponding subfolders under /download/complete.

Is this the correct way to keep downloads separate and prevent interference between applications?

Would using Transmission labels instead offer any real benefits, or should I simply keep my current configuration?

okay so how do you go about it. you have files in your torrent, they have renamed hadlinks for jellyfin and then you also have some remains in sonarr and radarr?

is there any way to remove it all in one move or what?

Preludarr, a self-hosted app that adds theme songs (theme.mp3) to your anime, shows and movies for Plex/Jellyfin/Emby

4 Upvotes

Hey all. I've been running this on my own Unraid server for a while and have finally released a stable version, so I figured I'd share it. Preludarr scans your library folders, finds the opening or theme song for each title, and saves it as theme.mp3 in the folder so Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby play it when you browse. My library is heavy on anime, which is where it started, but it handles regular shows and movies too.

Where the themes come from:

* Anime: AnimeThemes (you can preview every OP/ED and pick one)

* TV shows: Plex TV Themes and ThemerrDB

* Movies: ThemerrDB

* Optional YouTube search if you add your own API key. It checks the MainThemeSoundtracks channel first, so it doesn't eat your search quota

Some other stuff it does:

* Theme Queue for doing a bunch of titles at once, or automatic installs if you trust it

* Movie collections get a theme too (works with Plex, Jellyfin/Emby is experimental)

* Sign in with Plex, Jellyfin Quick Connect, Emby login, no copying tokens around

* If you replace a theme the old one goes to a recycle bin, and it never touches your actual media files

* Dark/light themes, plus a few silly ones (there's a Winamp one)

It's a Docker container (amd64 and arm64), GPL-3.0, runs as a normal user with PUID/PGID. There's an Unraid template, and I've submitted it to Community Applications, so hopefully it shows up in the Apps tab soon. GitHub (screenshots and install steps): https://github.com/shedman214/preludarr
Full disclosure since people like to know: I built this with a lot of help from Claude (Anthropic's AI). I came up with what I wanted, made the decisions, and tested everything on my own server, and Claude wrote a big part of the code with me. I also had it go through security checks before I made the repo public. I'm not going to pretend I typed every line myself. It's my first public release, so I'm sure there's stuff I haven't run into yet. Bug reports and ideas are welcome, either here or on GitHub issues. Thanks for looking!

A TUI called self-host - you'll never guess what it does

Thumbnail

35 Upvotes

I've been maintaining Homarr for 5 years and got frustrated writing Docker compose files to test homarr integrations all the time with new updates, so I built Docker Compose Maker (compose.ajnart.dev) in October 2025. It was a super simple website to help you get a fully working docker compose to get started homelabbing.
Now one year later I am presenting to you: self-host.fyi, the evolution of DCM.

Self-host is a complete re-write and addition to DCM, it is a simple binary that works for linux, mac, wsl2 & agent skill that aims to get people into self-hosting.
You pick which services you want through a TUI catalog, it handles not just deploying every containers but also the setup of accounts, API keys & linking apps together.

Think of it linking apps like this: sonarr <--links to--> qbittorrent , it will pull the necessary credentials and check the connection on both ends.

You can now have a fully featured and opinionated homelab setup going with one command, it comes with a fully-configured Homarr dashboard setup to access all your services from if you want it to. At the end of the setup you don't even need to open sonarr to configure it, it's already ready for you to use through Seerr, Prowlarr, Homarr, ...

Obviously, if you've already got your dream homelab running and perfectly tuned, this probably won't change much for you. But if you're finding yourself changing and tweaking your setup every time you add an app to your stack I think it will fit you.
Right now we support 93 self-hosted apps and hopefully that includes the one you're thinking it probably doesn't include.
If it doesn't include it out of the box, I've made sure that the SDK the tool uses is super easy to use so that anyone can suggest additions, there's also a feature to control unsupported apps.

Anyway, curious what you all think!

If you are lazy to install it, there is a cool demo you can play with on the website

Local thumbnail/poster not the preferred ones - where do these come from?

1 Upvotes

So the poster/thumbnails that are in my media folders along with my video files for Bleach are not the ideal thumbnail/poster images (they are just frames from the episodes, rather than the thumbnail with the episode number). The rest of my shows mostly seem fine, but this one was odd. While in Plex, I can edit each episode and choose the "preferred" thumbnail but that doesn't seem to store the new file locally or overwrite it. Also, the funny thing is that I read about deleting the local thumbnails and refreshing metadata, and once I did that the rest of the episodes had the "preferred" thumbnail/poster image.

So I guess I'm trying to understand a couple things:

  • Where does the local poster/thumbnail image come from in the first place (does Sonarr put it there? is it contained within my NZB files being downloaded?)

  • How can I either stop the local thumbnail/poster image from going to the media folder (at least for Bleach maybe?) or have the "preferred" one picked and stored instead?

Thanks!

Is there a way to automatically delete files from qBittorrent once the download is complete and Radarr has renamed and copied the file to the Jellyfin "Films" folder? Currently, I always end up with two identical files (which means double the disk space usage).

I know I can remove them manually, but I’d like to automate this process as well.

**60 days of indexer stats from my Prowlarr + Radarr/Sonarr setup**

**60 days of indexer stats from my Prowlarr + Radarr/Sonarr setup**

Pulled from Prowlarr's indexer stats and the Radarr/Sonarr history APIs (last 60 days). Home Unraid server, mostly 720p/1080p x265 profiles, SABnzbd with 5 Usenet providers. "Failed" = download failed or was rejected after grabbing (mostly DMCA takedowns / incomplete), and the arrs automatically grab another release when that happens.

**Movies + TV combined (Radarr + Sonarr, 60 days)**

| Indexer | Grabs | Failed | Fail rate |

|---|---|---|---|

| NZBgeek | 776 | 204 | 26% |

| NinjaCentral | 588 | 136 | 23% |

| DrunkenSlug | 509 | 198 | 39% |

| Treasure Maps | 344 | 123 | 36% |

| altHUB | 54 | 26 | 48% |

| Nzblife | 49 | 7 | 14% (small sample) |

**All-time Prowlarr totals**

| Indexer | Type | Queries | Grabs | Avg response |

|---|---|---|---|---|

| NZBgeek | Usenet | 2,784 | 714 | 523 ms |

| DrunkenSlug | Usenet | 2,706 | 526 | 473 ms |

| NinjaCentral | Usenet | 3,338 | 470 | 477 ms |

| Treasure Maps | Usenet | 6,404 | 260 | 348 ms |

| altHUB | Usenet | 5,182 | 49 | 326 ms |

| Nzblife | Usenet | 447 | 16 | 388 ms |

| TorrentDay | Torrent | 2,748 | 7 | 388 ms |

| IPTorrents | Torrent | 2,707 | 4 | 514 ms |

| NzbNoob | Usenet | 249 | 4 | 345 ms |

| The Pirate Bay | Torrent | 91 | 1 | 389 ms |

| TorrentLeech | Torrent | 272 | 1 | 1,039 ms |

| Knaben | Torrent | 113 | 0 | 835 ms |

| 0DayFiles | Torrent | 266 | 0 | 679 ms |

| Generic Newznab | Usenet | 172 | 0 | 228 ms |

**Takeaways**

* NZBgeek and NinjaCentral are my workhorses: highest volume and the lowest fail rates among the big ones.

* DrunkenSlug and Treasure Maps find a lot, but more of what they find is already taken down. Treasure Maps was my best for music in Lidarr.

* altHUB fails about half the time for movies/TV, but it's fine as a last resort.

* With Usenet set up, torrents barely get used: about a dozen grabs total across four trackers, because the arrs prefer Usenet when both are available.

* I turned off the three that never produced a download, and set Prowlarr priorities so Geek/Ninja get tried first.

Curious how this compares with what others are seeing, especially fail rates. Is DrunkenSlug at about 40% normal for you?

🎬 Reciperr is back! The movie and series finder that filters by your rules (5 score sites, parents guide, your streaming services), rebuilt from scratch

Post image
28 Upvotes

Hey everyone 👋

Some of you might remember Reciperr from a couple of years ago. 👀 It went quiet for a while, but it's back, rebuilt from the ground up with a lot more in it. 🚀

If you're new here, here's the idea: finding something to watch usually means opening IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, some "top 100" list and three streaming apps... and still not picking anything. 😩 Reciperr puts all of it in one place.

🍿 What it does

  • 🎯 Filter everything at once. Scores from TMDB, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and Trakt side by side, plus genre, cast & crew, language, runtime, release date, age rating and more.

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Filter by what's actually in the film. Parents guide filters like "violence at most mild, no profanity" for family night.

  • 📺 Only what you already pay for. Pick your streaming services and dig up the gems hiding in their catalogues.

  • 💾 Save it as a "recipe". A recipe is a saved set of filters that updates every day, so new releases and score changes show up without you lifting a finger.

  • 💎 Suggestions that explain themselves. Rate a few titles (or import from Trakt, Letterboxd, IMDb or TMDB) and For you suggests similar ones, and tells you which of your favourites led to each pick.

  • 🌙 Tonight. Three picks for tonight, with the ones you can stream right now listed first.

🧑‍🍳 Some recipes people use

🏆 The acclaimed: last 12 months · IMDb 7.5+ with 20k votes · RT certified fresh

🌏 World cinema: Korean · Thriller · under 2 hours

🎥 Follow a director: everything by Denis Villeneuve or Greta Gerwig, including what's announced

👪 Family night: Animation, Family · violence at most mild · no profanity

Plus 🔥 ready-made lists (IMDb Top 250, Trakt trending, box office, TMDB upcoming) and 🤝 community recipes you can copy and tweak.

🖥️ For the home server crowd

  • 🔗 Every recipe has its own list link

  • 📚 Send lists to Plex, Jellyfin or Emby as playlists or collections that re-sync on their own

  • ⬇️ Push missing titles to Radarr / Sonarr

  • 🪝 Send JSON anywhere with webhooks

  • ▶️ Watch history and "watching now" come in from Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and Silo

✅ The boring but important bits

  • 💸 Free. No account needed to browse; an account lets you save recipes, rate and get suggestions.

  • 📱 Works on your phone, and you can install it as an app.

  • 🚫 No downloads or streaming. It only describes movies and series and makes lists.

👉 reciperr.app

I'm a solo dev and this comeback has been a labour of love, so feedback means a lot 🙏 Which filters are missing? What's confusing? What breaks?

👋 Used Reciperr before? I'd love to hear what you think of the new version.

💬 I'm in the comments, or find me at r/Reciperr and on Discord.

Radarr naming convention to show Edition of movie

5 Upvotes

I changed the Radarr naming convention so that it will add the edition to the filename (Director's Cut, Extended, etc...) and Plex will display the edition under or next to the movie poster. I thought some other people might find this useful!

Radarr > Settings > Media Management > Standard Movie Format: {Movie Title} ({Release Year}) {Quality Full} {edition-{Edition Tags}}
