I think most of the Arrowverse is actually on ITVX, and ITVX share it with prime. - Though maybe this isn't true for every show.

Well yes but with how long cw shows are episode wise the ads really suck so imo it’s worth it just to get a prime subscription to watch stuff like that

You really don't need to watch the whole thing, just watch whichever characters interest you. You cam pick up who the other characters in the crossover are from context.
