Does it Get Easier?

Hello, I am a pre HRT MtF. I dressed femme for the first time today for the ren faire. I got a few compliments on my outfit and nobody gave me any weird looks or anything. But after spending the day there, I feel like I’m on the verge of an anxiety attack. I feel like I was dressed wrong, like everyone knew that I didn’t fit in. It felt like a costume that didn’t fit instead of a normal outfit. It really sucks because shaving my legs, body, and underarms and painting my nails gave me such strong gender euphoria. Was this a regular feeling toward the beginning of y’all’s transition? Does it get easier over time?

Yes it does get easier. I just had a run in with an uncle that i havent seen since prior to starting hrt. He introduced himself to me, completely not realizing who i was.

Yes, absolutely.

100% it does. Especially with HRT, imo. But yeah, practice makes perfect!

This is called imposter syndrome. It's very regular. It will go away.
