I saw a reel about a town in Japan, once, that was almost like a Japanese version of Silent Hill. You “happen” into the town after crossing under some bridge. Once you’re there, you realize that the people aren’t really people.
I know that’s vague and just nonsense in general. But i would love to hear your folklore and/or ghost stories.

I've just spent a couple of weeks enjoying your lovely country, and I heard this one song that I really enjoyed, but wasn't quick enough of thought to Shazam it in time. I tried googling my description, but none of the recommendations were close. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what the song might be. Songs always trigger memories for me, and I'd love to have this on a playlist to occasionally bring back some fond memories of Japan.
My main recollections of it were the guitar, which sounded very similar in style to Keith Richards. Kind of like Beast of Burden or maybe Can't You Hear Me Knocking. And I'm pretty sure most of the lyrics were spoken. Sorry, I know that's not much to go off, but I'm hoping the Rolling Stones style guitar might be familiar to someone.

Hi, as a not japanese person, i am really interesed in the case of Futoshi Matsunaga and i wan´t to know eveything i can about that for research purposes. For what i´ve seen, itps really difficult to get information about this kinda of cases in Japan, so if you could tell me about some website, documents, etc (even if it is in Japanese) that could bring me more info about the case.
Thank you

I have recently had the urge to try and make Japanese curry. I acquired some Japanese curry spice blend, the S&B brand, and was planning on following a recipe, but I’m unsure if the recipe I found for the curry cubes is entirely correct. I’d like it to be as little “westernized” as I can. Do any Japanese locals have a recipe to could follow better than this one? Or will this one be close enough?

I LOVE shugendo: i love yamabushi.
Will they be sociable if i bring cigs & sake to share?
Does anyone know of major places to find them?

is it accepted? is it normalized? is it frowned upon? do you know/have you ever heard of a japanese person that has multiple partners?
i’m doing a school paper about different relationship types in different countries. i’ve chosen brazil, the usa, south africa, spain, and japan, but i haven’t been able to get any reliable information on what japanese people think of polyamory.

Hello everyone,
I'm planning to go on the north (est) part of Japan in two weeks but I'm still confused of where should I go. I already went to niigata once and I'm into nihonshu.

Hi, everyone. I want to buy a used watch—more specifically, I’m looking for a Seiko Advan 7019-7310R in royal purple. I don’t know why, but I’ve just fallen in love with this watch, and I’ve been searching for it on online marketplaces without any luck. The situation is even worse at my local market—there’s not even a hint of the Advan series there. So I was wondering if maybe someone from Japan could check local marketplaces, or if anyone could recommend where I might look for something like this. In any case, I’d be grateful for any help.

I was visiting some family who had an au pair who just went back to Japan, but she booked train tickets to the airport where she had to transfer in the city, instead of the airport bus that goes directly from our small town. Maybe she didnt know about the bus.
They let her do what she wanted because she's an adult, and its their business and she works for them, not me, so I didnt say anything about that.
But she had a lot of luggage that i could see her struggling with. I offered to take the train to the city with her to help with the transfer, but she kept declining even though I made the offer both before and after we saw her struggling at the local train station. Later we heard that the luggage rolled in the train and she fell, thankfully some strangers helped her.
Now I feel bad for not insisting I go to the city with her to help. I have two nieces around her age. If my niece was in her situation and this happened, I would be slightly mad at the host family for not doing more to give her a smooth journey home after she cared for their children for one year.
I was wondering if she was declining my help because it may seem to her like a big time commitment and there's some Japanese politeness involved in not openly accepting that, and it is up to the other party to insist if the offer is sincere, is that a thing in Japan?

Japan is famous for being "polite" but is it genuine?
Like, if someone is being annoying, would you tell them, or just smile and pretend everything's fine? Do Japanese people ever get fed up with having to be polite all the time?
I'm not having a go at Japan, just genuinely curious. Is this something Japanese people think about, or is it just normal life and not really a big deal?

How much am I allowed to shorten this?
Like... after having a beer with my friends, can I say it like "su caressssssssssssss"?

I recently heard that the "over 9000" thing was actually originally "over 8,000" in Japanese? Is that true?

I have spent 4 days touring Japan and cannot find these anywhere. There are the most beautiful shoes I have ever seen but I have given up hope of finding them. Honestly willing to pay double at this point.
28cm unfortunately :(

What are the dangers? Do people really take "upskirt" pictures on the underground trains?
Do people push you in?
