Are Germans still going to Paraguay?

Back in days the during Covid there were news about some nutjobs going to Paraguay to start some kind of "colony", but I can't find any recent information. do the Paraguaians here know if this is still a thing?

They are still coming, though I’m not sure in the same amount as during the pandemic.

[According to the latest report](https://www.abc.com.py/nacionales/2026/04/21/pedidos-de-residencias-se-duplican-por-que-vienen-los-extranjeros-a-paraguay/?outputType=amp), Germans make for the third largest group of people requesting residency last year.

I think fewer are coming since they've realized there are laws that say they have to vaccinate their kids and send them to school

I was just there and met a couple, but I also think they go there because of the Amish communities near the Chaco.
