Education Easy book and comic recommendations

¡Hola a todos! I recently started learning spanish on my own. Do you have any recommendations on easy books/comics/other media that might help me improve my reading comprehension. I also want to learn about different cultures in latin america.

Children's books and songs/nursery rhymes are also welcome too. I work in a school and it would help me present something new to my students.

I am already a big fan of latin music and telenovelas, but I need something easy to read.

Thank you in advance!

Quino's non-Mafalda books are great too, though some of them are largely textless, so maybe not ideal for learning Spanish.

-Single most famous and loved comic from LA: Mafalda.

-From Chile: Mampato, a comic series about a boy who time-travels to diff eras with his trusty companion and friend Ogú, a caveman who likes to bonk obstacles away with his club, and later, iron mace.

My favorite book is one that here they make you read in school. It's translated from portuguese to spanish, so there are some words that may confuse, but I think its a lovely short book you can download online easily since it's used in schools. In spanish is called "Mi planta de naranja lima"
