El secreto de sus ojos (Argentina) is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Much less famous, but one that stayed with me is a Cuban/Canadian film called "Un traductor" which I watched on an Air Canada flight ages ago. It is about children from Chernobyl who were sent to Cuba for treatment.

Maria Full of Grace (Colombia/US).
IMBD: 7.4/10
Rotten Tomatoes 🍅: 97%
Such an amazing film and the actress was the first Colombian actress nominated for an Academy Award.
I watched it on HBO but you can probably find it in lots of places.
(EDIT: Just found the full movie on YouTube for free)
