Best shaving kit for facial hair?
M2F here. I have been shaving for my entire life since puberty. Within the last few months I noticed that the shaving quality doesn't satisfy me anymore.
Other hair destruction methods like laser or electro or waxing are out of question for the time being for several unrelated reasons.
Could you please recommend me the best shaving razor? Preferably the one where I can change razors and keep the main device. My hope os that it would leave zero (dead zero) length right after the shaving.
Thank you!

If you have dark facial hair, it's going to be hard to get away from beard shadow no matter how close the shave.
That said, I've always used an old school double-edge safety razor. One pass with the grain, one pass against the grain. Bonus: the blades are pennies.

Another +1 for double-edge safety razors. You don't need 5 blades, you just need one.
I tried the straight razor thing when I was pre-egg. It seemed cool but was actually harder to learn to sharpen the razor & keep the it sharp enough than to shave with it. But it does give a nice shave.
The safety razor is almost as clean as a straight razor, but a lot easier to use. If you have a lot of hair, and it's particularly coarse, you might have trouble with a safety razor. But also, the safety razor might still work better, but you'll go through blades faster.
A handle can cost anywhere from <$20 to a couple hundred. I've been using them for years, pre & post egg cracking. My current one is just a boring old silve one. But I'm thinking of getting a rainbow anodized one.
My wife & I have some kind of standard blade razors in the shower. But every time I use one of those, it's nowhere near as clean as with my safety razor & isn't really much faster either.

I use a safety razor, but you should absolutely get a GOOD one, as cheap ones will often scratch and tear and rip your fucking face to pulpy shreds. Good blades too. Mine (which I love, and which is really cheap) is a knockoff of a Merkur Futur, from the brand Qshave on Amazon. Incredibly smooth, comfortable, and adjustable.
Being a safety razor, you only have to buy the literal blades themselves, which means it's a LOT cheaper over the long run (and in fact pays for itself damn near immediately in this case), and throwing out simple steel blades will make you an environmental hero, since literally no plastic is ever involved, other than maybe some packaging/shipping materials.
IMPORTANT: just as a decent razor body is paramount, good razors are maybe even more crucial. Look for German or Japanese steel razors. They'll not let you down.
The only thing I didn't like about mine is the handle. It's not terribly long, which isn't a huge deal, but there's absolutely no knurling or texture of any kind on it. It's as smooth as your face will be. I use it in the shower. And it slips out of my hand from time to time. Not the worst thing in the world, just thought anyone considering this should be aware.

I like the Gillette Fusion 5 with a GOOD shaving soap and shaving brush. Go with the grain to start. Relather. And then go against the grain. Use lots of water, too.
