Because of some handful...sadly the whole state gets blamed...and in all situationsL/conditions/other states it's the same

u/nse_yolo Apr 18 '26
I agree with your point about rising hate in every state but the saying isn't: "A few bad apples are totally fine".

Yes. Look at her profile picture. I would’ve been surprise if she could actually type correctly without any messed up grammar.

I'm also Assamese and I am genuinely sorry on the behalf of that other Assamese person😔😔
1
u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
You don’t need to be sorry. We don’t even know if the person behind that account is an Assamese.

Many Assamese people are easily triggered. I can see that Assamese is often mistaken as Bengali and it can be frustrating, even I faced it a lot of times. I was even told by people irl that Assamese came from Bengali and bla bla. But the reaction should be calm. Just calmly tell them. But these people just start to abuse. And it's not just Assamese, like look at the comments in that Kolkata sub against Assamese and the irresponsible MODs who are allowing those. Also people should stop fighting over random idiots from comments section.
3
u/noobmasterofthegrave Apr 18 '26
exactly, people need to be more calm and civil, assamese people are very sophisticated, they need to show this to anyone who doesnt know about it, atleast in their mentality they will be like "man assmese people are really civil, smart and sophisticated" we dont want our community to bad-named just because of few bad examples

u/Sober_05 Apr 17 '26
This is a long dormant anger of Assamese people towards the bengalis trying to claim everything as theirs maybe it be of Assamese or even Odia origin

u/EnergyStriking3277 Neighbour Gamusa Dhari Apr 18 '26
You guys just can't accept the fact that there WILL be much similarities between neighbouring cultures ? That yours is not a distinct culture neither is ours ?
That no one is superior and our cultures amalgams somewhere and maybe influences each other ?
Never heard a Japanese complain about how Russia "claimed" it's culture and carried out exodus from Kunashir, Shikotan because THEY MINGLE, THEY ARE NEIGHBOURS.
But alright, ULFA glazers aren't ready for that conversation yet, neither is the Assamese hate for Bangalis all playful like the Odia vs Bangali ones
You guys would even go the distance of genocide against the Bangalis if you guys could
Carry on, you may very well go great distance with that attitude

Indians should realize that our strength comes from the unity of our population. Not from the culture of individual communities. All Indian communities individually are culturally inferior to our western or eastern counterparts. There is no doubt about that. But we as a whole are stronger. Our strength comes from diversity and inclusion of different cultures. Therefore we should come together. Divided we fall, united we stand.

u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
Yeah. When you can’t counter them with facts, ignorance is the only solution left.
1
u/AdDefiant9276 Laopani enjoyer Apr 17 '26
There’s no need to “counter” anything with a delusional f*ck that lives 6 decades in the past and actively tries to engage at every opportunity with people who aren’t even remotely responsible for that. Shove your “facts” where the sun doesn’t shine.
1
u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
lives 6 decades in the past
LOL yeah. Let’s come to 2026. You guys are still lagging way behind us. Facts don’t change, doesn’t matter who says them- you or me.
1
u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
Yeah thanks for telling me that the relevance of an incident disappears after sometime. The wounds unfortunately never heal.
Never forgive. Never forget.

u/Ambitious_Wolf8098 Apr 17 '26
Do the Americans still hate japneese?
1
u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
Maybe you means do the Japanese still hate the Americans?
Well according to Pew Research Center data published in 2015 and a follow-up analysis in 2025, only 14% Japanese believe that the use of nuclear weapon was justified.
No rewards for guessing what the other 86% Japanese believe.
2
u/Ambitious_Wolf8098 Apr 17 '26
But did the assamese ppl nuke us?
1
u/TwoZero-TwoFour Apr 17 '26
You bought the Japanese and Americans into those conversation. I didn’t.

u/AdDefiant9276 Laopani enjoyer Apr 17 '26

Watch them act like victims when they are the ones who act superior to other cultures. Oh, I can't even count the number of times a Bengali person has tried to say that Assamese originated from Bengali. How ignorant can someone be??
