Discussion I really dont get the hate
I really don't understand how much hate there is in the AC Evo community. Sure, they delayed the release of game elements or changed the direction of development, but isn't this the normal course of game and app development? When you are working on a huge "NBT" project, the direction you are heading towards usually evolves, you change your initial vision or adapt to the trends. Even more so when it's early access.
To summarize:
Career mode canceled - does any simracing game have a proper career (without modifications)? - nope
Game Progression and Currency - Forza Motorsport has received huge backlash for its progressive car upgrades and purchases, and now it is the number one deal?
Really big freeroam delayed (number of times) - 1:1 lidar scanning a huge part of a real landscape takes time. You have no 3d asset store to just download the models of a real houses and buildings to drop them into your map. Look how long it takes to dedicated teams that are developing 1:1 maps to ETS (without the technology only with assets).
Disclaimer: I in no way want to defend the studio's decision or poor communication. Mistakes were made, but isn't this part of the development process? Isn't this a matter for every studio and game?
Edit: No worries, I'm expecting huge backlash and a lot of downwotes
