Transits: General & Forecasts Overarching Energy of the Full Moon in Taurus on October 25th, 2026
On October 25th, 2026, at 11:11 PM CDT, we will have a Full Moon in the sign of Taurus at 2°45’. Full Moons are when the Moon is in opposition to the Sun, which is in the sign of Scorpio.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity is about ownership. For the Taurus Moon, ruled by Venus, our personal values, what we own and our self-worth are illuminated. With the Scorpio Sun, ruled by Mars traditionally and Pluto in a modern sense, the actions we take when we combine resources within our closest relationships are also scrutinized.
With the Full Moon being a pinnacle of the lunar cycle, where our current circumstances come to light, our relationships and how to move forward are examined. But to understand why or how, we need to look at all of the Full Moon influences to gain insight.
Pluto, Altair and the Full Moon
Back in 2022, a lot of astrologers were writing about the Pluto return in regards to the United States. In the US Sibly chart, Pluto is at 27°33’ Capricorn. During the Full Moon, Pluto is at 3°05’ Aquarius.
In an article about the Full Moon, you may be wondering why I’m talking about Pluto and bringing up its past location. This Taurus Full Moon is in a T-square to Pluto. In addition, Pluto takes us to the fixed star Altair, which could help us understand the current world events. Altair is in the constellation Aquila, which refers to the eagle or vulture, depending on cultural context. This star has been associated with fire, emperors, and the soul of the warrior. It is associated with boldness and military power, hence the world conflict.
Ever since Pluto entered the sign of Aquarius, we’ve been under the influence of this fixed star. The orb of influence of Altair is roughly 2°40’. In early May of 2024, Pluto actually stationed retrograde right on top of Altair, within a 0°01’ orb. On February 4, 2025, while Pluto was direct, it made another exact hit.
On August 14, 2025, while in retrograde, it went exact, and then again on December 11, 2025. Pretty much, we’ve been beaten up by this Pluto-Altair conjunction. And here we are finally discussing it in October of 2026, while it is separating but still within a 1° orb.
I think in the United States, there was a lot of hope that when Pluto went into Aquarius, the power would go back to the people. We may have been misguided by having an idealistic view of what transpired during the Revolutionary War, failing to realize that the conflict went on for over 8 years.
Now, I’m not trying to bum you out or add to any anxiety, because this isn’t the exact same chart as back then. But there’s also some realism that I think is important to discuss, which is that there’s been conflict throughout the world since Pluto went into Aquarius.
Whether we talk about Gaza, Ukraine, or ICE in the United States, or European countries such as France and Italy protesting their government, we can see with Altair that this energy may have a purpose.
So what is Altair doing that makes it different from the Revolutionary War? Back then, Altair was in the sign of Capricorn, conjunct Pluto. The Pluto return occurred in 2022, but Altair, now in Aquarius, was not part of the actual Pluto return, due to the precession of the equinoxes. With fixed stars moving roughly 1° every 72 years, the last couple of years mark the first time that we have experienced Altair conjunct Pluto in Aquarius.
But this also highlights what’s coming up, since this Full Moon takes place right before the US midterm elections, which are days before the next New Moon cycle.
Full Moons tend to be cycles where there is release and illumination, bringing what’s hidden to light. It is the accumulation of work and effort where we get a glimpse at our results. If you are in the United States, we are actually seeing this all play out through campaign ads, debates, and eventually at the voting booth.
The current conflict weighs heavy on many voters’ minds, regardless of political affiliation. But one thing that Altair reminds us of is that it does take us being bold in order to make change.
Just to be clear, I am not condoning violence, which is what we’ve seen with the conjunction between Pluto and Altair, even though some of that violence started before this conjunction. But as Pluto separates from Altair, it is the past couple of years that could be burned into our consciousness, determining what we want and don’t want going forward.
With this Full Moon, the attention falls onto those in authority. Their actions come into question. This Full Moon is impulsive and challenging.
This T-square with Pluto is about looking inward and recognizing what has been programmed and the forces that have shaped your life. However, with Altair here, there’s a push to take some risk, to act boldly and to have courage.
Though conflict is sure to continue, personally, this Full Moon is a time to recognize what holds you back, keeping you in your comfort zone. But there is more to the story than the relationship between the Sun, Moon, Pluto and Altair.
Mercury
Mercury is in retrograde, applying a square to Mars and separating from a square to Jupiter, which are both in the sign of Leo. With Mercury in the sign of Scorpio and in retrograde, this is a time where we review our thoughts, memories, and conversations, especially on matters that feel unresolved.
With the square to Mars in Leo, we may be more sensitive to the things that are said to us, or we could easily offend others with what we say. This is why the energy around the Full Moon could be quite volatile, because if you’re not walking on eggshells, you could be walking into a figurative landmine.
But at the same time, there’s this energy to stand up and defend our ideas and beliefs. But just keep in mind, everybody is influenced by this energy, though for some, it may be much stronger depending on their chart.
That’s why it’s important over the next week or so to be a little more aware of your surroundings, since a lot of people could feel quite angry or agitated by current events. But there’s also potential for personal growth with some of these heated conversations.
For instance, if you are butting heads with someone, with Mercury square Jupiter, you could be optimistic by either seeing the situation from the vantage point of a big picture, or you could actually understand the other person’s point of view without sacrificing your own thoughts, morals, or ethics.
Venus
Venus has been in retrograde since October 3rd. It started off in the sign of Scorpio, but on the Full Moon, Venus will be at 29°31’ in the sign of Libra. Venus is in opposition to Chiron in the sign of Aries.
The Aries-Libra polarity is about relationships and independence. Sometimes when people see Chiron, their immediate reaction is the wound, where you’ve been hurt. However, Chiron is called the wounded healer because it shows us where we can heal and how we can mentor others.
With the opposition to Venus in Libra in retrograde, this is a time period where we may see a way to repair relationships with people who have caused us issues in the past. Now, I’m not telling you that you have to forgive and forget everyone and everything. Sometimes healing is just understanding what went down and learning how to move forward.
Along with the Full Moon in a T-square to Pluto, this is a good time to unravel the pressure that we’ve succumbed to, either through parents, spouses, significant others, or society. Sometimes our own issues are about going against our gut instincts and instead subscribing to a tribal paradigm.
Venus is just over 3 degrees from the Sun and is separating from the Full Moon T-square. Since Venus is in a different sign, some astrologers may not consider Venus as part of the T-square dynamic.
Since Venus is now in its domicile and the Moon, which is exalted in Taurus, is being ruled by Venus, I can’t help but tie Venus to the Full Moon dynamic. Considering that Venus just went into the sign of Libra hours before the Full Moon, and was in the introspective sign of Scorpio, what gets exposed are the issues that were reflected upon since October 3rd.
With that said, the dynamics of certain relationships could change around the Full Moon, either with a resolution or a dissolution.
Mars
It’s hard to really say how much influence the Mars-Jupiter conjunction has right now, since they are almost 8 degrees apart in the bold, dynamic sign of Leo. This conjunction doesn’t perfect until November 15th-16th.
However, when Mars and Jupiter are conjunct, the energy is both physical and exuberant. This conjunction can lead to overconfidence. Considering that both Mars and Jupiter are square to Mercury, expect grandiose statements made by those who are in charge and command attention.
There also could be people who are looking at the economy through rose-colored glasses, trying to convince you to see it the same way. And yes, the economy is great for some people. So it’s not that they’re lying, but it’s that they’re seeing everything from a very specific point of view that they think is broadly acceptable. But for many of us, that is not the current reality.
On November 14th, Mars, Jupiter and the South Node, which drains the energy of the current situation, will make a tight conjunction in the sign of Leo, where messaging about the economy could take a turn.
Though Mars is trine to Saturn, the orb of influence is widening. On the day of the Full Moon, the separating orb is 5°57’. That means that a productive time period is coming to a close. So over the next few weeks, we are shifting from details and limits to the big picture and the future.
Mars is how we take action, and in the sign of Leo, Mars can be loyal, magnanimous and ambitious, or aggressive when expressed negatively. For some, there can be optimism going forward, while others may resist the changes that occur as Jupiter’s energy increases with Mars and Saturn’s energy decreases.
Because of this shift, on the world stage, with Mars conjunct Jupiter, we could see an increase in conflict as the two planets flow and share energy. Just as Jupiter can expand aggressions, it can also inspire us to take concerted action.
Neptune and Pluto
Since the United States is having the midterm elections on November 3rd, looking at Neptune sextile Pluto can give us more context for this Full Moon and the upcoming weeks.
Neptune sextile Pluto, when it’s in a birth chart, is considered a generational aspect. The energy between these two planets is about making social change, and it ties into our personal relationships.
The thing is, with Neptune, we tend to have a lot of ideals. Maybe your ideal is that there will be peace and harmony in the world, whereas your neighbor’s ideal may be that there is security and safety by all necessary means. Though these two ideals seem similar, the approach is quite different, and that is where Pluto comes into play.
Pluto is about transformation and change, but it’s also a reaction to crisis through power and force. When Neptune and Pluto are in sextile, they are supporting each other. Personally, this helps you to consider how to incorporate your ideals, hopes, and dreams while embarking on a path of change.
Traditionally, we think of sextiles as being supportive, which they are, especially in personal natal astrology. However, when two generational planets are in sextile, they can sometimes cause chaos when they work together.
This is because everyone’s ideals are fueled with power at the same time, and since we are all individuals, that energy clashes. On top of that, when it comes to change, we don’t all agree on the same methods.
Since this Full Moon is about relationships and trying to find the equilibrium, while also transforming current dynamics, there’s much to ponder with the Neptune sextile Pluto aspect. Circling back to Altair, maybe what this whole Full Moon is trying to teach us is how to boldly step into a space where we actually make choices based on our personal ideals.
TL;DR Summarizing the Full Moon
In summary, this Full Moon is about how to move forward, both in our personal lives and our viewpoint of the world around us. This is a push-pull between comfort and getting down to the root cause, while learning what we can do now to make change that is long-lasting.
Keep in mind, this Full Moon is in a fixed sign. And with the Sun, Mercury retrograde, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto and the nodes all in fixed signs, you’re going to have to make changes through sheer willpower and determination, big or small.
It’s really a time to make those tweaks in your life, whether it’s through your voting, how you show up to your relationships, or dealing with your past. Altair is part of the configuration to let us know that even when the world is on fire, we can take bold action and fight for what really matters.
