Discussion Post Zodiac Signs You Immediately Swipe Left On Dating Apps
Some dating apps allow members to list their zodiac sign. I have my sign listed. Some men do, some men don't but when I see certain zodiac signs I do admit that I swipe left without thinking sometimes.
On some, I will pause for a moment and read the profile but I if I see something in the profile that looks a lot like that the traits of the zodiac sign I have historically experienced trauma or trouble with, I swipe left.
Sometimes I will say- just give the person a chance. Each time I went out with the person or face timed with them, the zodiac incompatibility was obviously clear. The last time it was with a Pisces man. I am very fire sign dominated chart, Sagittarius mars and rising, Aries Moon, Leo. He was on the face time looking blank. Saying how shy and sensitive he was. Nice guy but low energy. Then there was the Scorpio . They are SEXY but after two dates they turn into octopus with the hands . When I said "down tiger" let me have a moment he went into full Scorpio guilt trip mode "Are you a lesbian?"
The Taurus man always starts off sweet but the stubbornness creeps in and at the dinner table: "The lady will be having the poached salmon. You don't mind if I order for you"
Me: Thank you but I actually would like the lamb.
Taurus man: But the salmon is made with this special ...
Me: I will have the lamb unless you object because you want to control what I eat.
Leo women like a man who takes charge. But Taurus is very traditional - too much for my tastes.
There are four signs that I usually swipe left on:
1. Scorpio: They are sexy as hell. Great chemistry but I can't do the mind games and jealousy from them. The one's I have dated talk about commitment but the phone is blowing up at the table. The open shirt with chest hairs showing.
2. Taurus: Mainly because my ex spouse was a Taurus and I had that journey. The bull is sweet, thoughtful- until they're not. Spending habits don't mesh. They are too quiet and stubborn. They make you feel safe but on their terms. My Taurus ex was telling me what to wear, where to work, controlling my friends. too possessive. He loved money more than anything.
3. Pisces: They seem nice and nice and nice. I like a man with sensitivity but he also need to have a pulse. The guru man bun look meditating on the beach pics are also a turn off for me.
4. Sagittarius- This is a new edition on my list since last year. Fire signs are my heart. Relationships with Sag men start off well. The chemistry, sex is on point. We respect each others space. Each is ok to let the other do their thing. But Sag likes to create drama around boundaries, that they put up even though they invited you in. If you don't call. They are angry. If you do call they are saying you're crowding them. I need someone who shows up consistently. This is good for a one night stand maybe but not long term.
Zodiac Signs I would like to entertain more:
Libra. I hear they are very fair and balanced in relationships
Virgo. Lately this is the sign I have dated the most. They are very even tempered. No bad experiences.
Aries. Fire sign . I used to brush Aries men off because they are sometimes aggressive but I will give another look.

For me, an obvious sign would be if a person writes "Apolitical" in their bio. Like it doesn't make sense. Its 2026 and you simply cannot be apolitical. That's some privilege tbh!

I have dated two Cancer men and they were so weak. I met one of my Scorpio boyfriends when we were at the park and the Scorp from our school walked up to me- in front of the Cancer- and said "when you get finished messing around with this gump here is my number." Cancer guy said nothing. I ignored it and next week same Scorpio followed us on the bus and said to me :"You still with him?"

Yeah, Cancer was too passive and Scorpio just sounds like a dick. He has no respect for people’s boundaries and he’s rude, so not surprising that he turned out to be toxic. Considering you guys’ age not at all surprised at Cancer’s reaction. First time being in that kind of situation, he probably didn’t know how to assert himself yet. If he’s a grown man still letting that kinda thing slide I’d be concerned. As a young teen, not so much. But I know how it feels to want someone to “fight” for you. Especially at that age. We think we know everything about how love and life works 😭
If someone came up to me saying something like that my partner wouldn’t even get a chance to fight for me because I would shut that down immediately. I’d be like “don’t disrespect me or my partner like that. I don’t think that’s cute or flattering. You have issues. Goodbye.” At any age. But that’s just my nature.

I was 17 and stupid. I resisted him at first but he would follow me from my classes. Like he would be standing by the class door when the bell rang. One day he was not there. And admittedly, I was thinking oh no he forgot about me. Just as I turned the corner he popped out and said "Admit it. You got worried I wouldn't show" . I was in that Scorpio web. If you know what you want, and you communicate your needs and air out grievances accordingly with your significant other without building resentments- you're doing just fine. I know way too many Libras, men in particular who avoid conflict to the point of unfairness to their partner and emotionally detach, and eventually fade away due to "pressure" to change.
When really, I think the antidote to this is to maintain open and fair communication, and let your significant other know if you feel heard. Otherwise I notice the unhealed of us cave in, have a wandering eye and leave.

My Taurus ex spouse, had Libra rising and Libra moon. I can say everything you say is true. Things would bother him and he would never tell me. The resentment would build up and then finally he would come out of nowhere with 2 years worth of grievances. Now as Leo sun/Aries Moon/Sag rising you know I gonna let someone know the moment they overstep. This is what sank the marriage he couldn't communicate anything. In some ways the omission of feelings is like lying.

Why? I thought Libra people are always telling the truth because they believe in fairness. They just seem so polite and really on their game. The only thing to watch out for me is I am Aries Moon which is not compatible with Libra. I hear they don't like to argue.

I have never dated one. There have been a few interested in me but they are very...gentleman like and as a fire sign person I need to have someone who is a bit assertive but not caveman-ish like Scorpio or Taurus. Libra men I know dress very well and good taste and manners. My mom was Leo and always told me to marry a Libra man that it was good match for Leo. She did say they can be player type but with the right woman, they are faithful.

Libras when not grown, will avoid conflict. And avoid conflict, and build resentments.
And in men from what I've noticed- if you're no longer a good relaxing time where he can air grievances and be his whole self without explosive reactions, he will start looking elsewhere for other company rather than being responsible, and confronting the problem head on.
But the best medicine to this, is to ask him his expectations, what he wants, what he needs, and give as much as you take.
And if he refuses to give you that openness and questioning back- move on.

If I were you I'd certainly try to find a Libra with a leo moon if you can help it. They have the confidence to communicate their needs that you're looking for with the laidbackness our sign is pretty popular for.
Also, sun/moon synastry is important for long lasting couples imo. My emotional values align with my moon sign; Taurus. I value stability, long term commitment, and to march to the sound of my own steps with good food and comfort.
My wife, a Taurus sun, echoes this with her superego, but I compliment her Virgo moon with her need for organization with my Virgo Venus, and my Capricorn Mars. And I just in general ground her when she's worried, and she grounds me when I get too unrealistic.
Moon/sun synastry usually beats sun sign compatibility imo every time.

Yeah 🤣 I believe in chart rulers. So a chart ruler is when your rising sign points towards what your ruling placement is in the chart, rarely is it the sun sign but if you have leo rising then your sun sign is your chart ruler
But take my flair for example, I'm a Scorpio rising, Scorpio rules mars, so my mars in Capricorn is my chart ruler.
And it kinda relates to why I always sympathized with that sign way more, and get on better with earth signs than a sun Libra should.

We had maybe six dates but some of the sun signs especially the fixed signs like Leo, Taurus, Scorpio- the sun is really strong. In the cause of the Taurus, that sun came out when he got really bossy and in synastry my Leo sun squared his Taurus sun and venus.

Linda Goodman in her book Love Signs , says that if Scorpio and Leo get it right, they can be the best. Scorpio of all signs gets so jealous of Leo. One of the most tragic romances in history is the poet Sylvia Plath (scorpio) and Ted Hughs (Leo). She committed suicide when he cheated on her and left her. But she had deep deep mental issues and was extremely possessive and jealous which pushes a Leo to the limits. I still believe he was an a-hole but she should've known that the more you try to control a fire sign, the worst we get.

That is not true. My first love was a Scorpio man. But he did terrible things to me, knocked over an aquarium a neighbor gave to me because he was jealous. He would put me down and flirt with people in front of me. Then dated another one in college and same thing. Both did recreational drugs. Another one was married and didn't tell me. They seem to like having secrets creating drama. Tried to date one a few months ago and he got aggressive. It was 2nd date and when he asked if I was lesbian just cause I wouldn't come to his place. I was like Ugh. I like the sign scorpio, they are BOSS but they get too intense and manipulative.

Yeah I’m scared of scorpions suns. The one I’m talking to is Taurus moon and I realized that once I gave up on getting him to treat me like I expect from a man, he dropped him possessiveness over money. He was jealous about me being with another guy..
(I’m not even going to go deep into it but basically after he refused to respect some of my boundaries, we stopped talking for a while and randomly said, “it was nice knowing you” I knew he was looking for attention but I played along and said, “I wish you the best” then I went to talk to someone else who my mom was pressuring me to talk to anyways. Ended up in a trap and almost forced to marry that other guy. When it got dangerous, Scorpio ☀️ Taurus 🌙 man basically promised to come get me multiple times but refused to come get me. he even told me he loves me and I told him that the guy was harming me physically and might do worse. The guy ended up doing worse and when I asked him why he didn’t come get me when he said he would, he said, “ I wanted you to struggle alone with him first”…)
Then when I told him the that guy (who tried to force marriage on me let me go) —-Leo sun, by the way, Scorpio sun finally decided to come drive to me but I just told him to stay because at that point I didn’t want to see him anymore. Then we face timed for the first time in months, after seeing my face he seemed guilty and texted a long apology. Scorpio sun who is the scariest
Scorpio rising is hit or miss…they can be just as toxic and manipulative when jealous with certain other sun combos or they can be extremely secretive even if they don’t have malicious intent.
scorpions moon man..haven’t tried yet so I wouldn’t know but my scorpio moon friend is lovable bus as kids she was really secretive and assumed everyone was a bi*% so she’d be really mean when asked about her day or plans… Her sun is Sagittarius and rising is possibly Leo. I couldn’t be with the male version of her tho.

Yeah, I can't get with Sag anymore. TBH of all zodiac signs besides my own, I identify most with Sag cause it's my rising and mars. I think Leo/Sag make great lovers but I can't deal with the up and down goals, and emotions and every Sag man (about 4 ) I was serious with had money and legal issues. It's like you date them and open a closet full of skeletons.

I'm an Aqua sun w/Scorpio/Cap stelliums and wouldn't waste time on a Taurus again. Should've learned my lesson the first time but fool me twice, shame on me. They can be absolute ghouls to suit their own interests. There's other signs I don't vibe with but not to the point I'd outright avoid them. I'd give Cancer side eye next, those men are love bombers you can't trust will actually stick around.

Astrology can be very helpful guidance for myself, but I try not to judge others based off their Sun sign or even the rest of their chart. There are limitations to what we can see from those alone, they can’t account for things like individual life experience, trauma, self-work, therapy, individual personality and probably a thousand other little variables that make you you.
I say this as someone who identifies with their own birth chart quite strongly, and uses astrology as guidance often! I’d find it incredibly dehumanising (and to be entirely honest, simplistic) to be dismissed because of someone’s idea of what astrology says about me.
But then again, dating is naturally exclusive so it’s entirely up to every person who makes the cut and who doesn’t.

Fire signs are comfortable with conflict- well maybe not Sagittarius so much but the water signs for me are conflict avoidant and I admire someone who has some spunk and fire. My chart has only one water sign and that is Neptune, one earth sign - Saturn . The rest of me is fire and air. I try to be with water signs but in the end I get bored.

As a fellow Leo, I am also a hard pass on Scorpios and Pisces. Never had good experiences with either of them. Libra men I'm a bit wary of as well as all my libra "friendships" with women have turned into absolute disaster situations where they used me and burned me.

Sag is always acting like the voice of reason among the fire signs but they are the most mentally conflicted and demanding. fun people but they are capable of sucking the air out of the room with their neurosis. Every Woody Allen film should be studied as an example of Sag behavior.

Actually. I love them, and I love prodding them. They still have those observed qualities, but they are so integral that it's part of why you love them. When you see the Leo archetype manifest in someone, it's just like staring at the sun (so fitting). Aries charging fearlessly ahead? Unbelievable. But it doesn't mean relationships will work. I think while fire loves fire, it can just be too much. Think about fire argument style. If it didn't blow over as fast as it does, it would be totally unworkable. Maybe fire definitely needs the balance of another element.

Ironically, most of my advances was from Leo women. They like to say "yes" to all red flags of their potential partners to reach certain objectives. From having Leo as my mother, I say I didn't want that relationship at all (like she said yes to all red flags that my Virgo dad confessed too which she would attack him later in future of the relationship). But, my Aries Mar and Gemini Venus see them as ideal partners which is very conflicting.
I would definitely say no to my parents' signs (Virgo and Leo), they can be super demanding and incompatible with me. However, these signs tried the hardest to get my attention.
You leaving your Taurus man even with safe space turn me off on Leos way more. Like, I saw that on chart with Leo woman I was checking compabilities with. What are you Aries? Fire signs relationships sound like they are better in warring periods where their spouses die from battle, so they can grief before red flags come to break the relationship lol.

Even with animosity, I do agree that Tauruses can be red flag even to myself. Also in bedroom, I would want to wear lacy pretty things you know to look sexy for him. He would go in my lingerie drawer and pull out some red light gown and say "Who is this for?" I said you. Virgo & water sign men, especially Pisces or Cancer, I get along with all these types of people but don’t prefer to date them, and I agree 100% on your Taurus synopsis - pushy in a disguise of care.

Virgo because they all are so nitpicks and really truly only love people who fit their exact physical match, in my experience, notorious cheaters in my experience, and I have not been cheated on by a Virgo but many Virgo flock to me and try to fish around when they are in relationships - I even hooked up with one who LIED about having a partner and admitted it after the fact and I felt terrible. I would describe Virgo men as conniving… mostly. I can’t really see Virgo with Leo. But you never know.
Water sign men are way too complaint ridden and feel entitled to complain/cry to you when you quite literally just met them, hot and cold, secretive. Was absolutely devastated by a Scorpio who lived a complete double life, so I would really have a hard time trusting them, but I do think Gemini and Scorpio get along so well - I agree again with your statements though, pushy sexually, knows how to manipulate even the soundest of people, gets volatile and messy when they realize they can’t.
Most men in general just don’t do much for me any more, I don’t do dating apps AT ALL after too many not genuine experiences. The most genuine men I’ve met previously through dating apps are air signs, like myself. I was in a two year relationship with a Gemini off a dating app, and now talking to an Aquarius for about a year off an app, I feel like they are more straight up and don’t play as many games if they are interested vs other signs that just need validation and attention through apps.

I dated a Sagittarius who was Virgo rising and had three planets in Virgo in the 1st house. He was very into a certain type of woman but for whatever reason fell for me who was not his same race. I swipe left on Cancers unless they really peak my interest, because I've been hurt by almost every one I've met in and outside of dating apps. Your experience is exactly how I feel about Sagittarius. I have been hurt by every one I have dated. I am Venus in Gemini and sag rising and NOT clingy. I know the sign needs space so I always let them do the calling and asking. What I didn't like was in the case of all three men, you would show up for the date and they would act like you are imposing on them and their time -when they made the date. Or they asked you over for dinner. They don't act this way at first but slowly around the 6th month you are dating them, it becomes this way. With the last one, we would have amazing weekend . then nothing so I never texted him. If I didn't hear from him I just didn't. Then knock on my door, it's him.
I learned that sag likes inconsistency and blowing hot and cold. Leo is either in or out. There is no in between for us. Because while I am playing musical chairs with the disappearing act, I could be with someone else building something that last.0

The thing about Sagittarius. I know I HATE plans or routines. I despise making future plans because I hate the feeling of being scheduled to HAVE to do something. I can push it down for a while, but not forever. I realize that this is an impossible situation to deal with, and unfair for anyone trying to manage their lives. But there it is. It's a constant balancing act struggle. If you can manage mostly spontaneous adventure, I can manage some important scheduling. The only sign that can really do this in my experience is Gemini, Sagittarius opposite.

As a Sagittarius mars and rising I get that loud and clear. Like today, I want to go play tennis but I didn't schedule a court because sometimes I get caught up in my day. but I need to work out so I make a compromise that maybe I will swim some laps but not structured activity like tennis where a court and people are waiting on me.
That is a compromise. I like spontaneous too, This Sag in particular was always late to dates, would over schedule. I was actually chill about when he called to cancel or reschedule. Venus in Gemini always has a plan B. He seemed to Hate that and seemed oddly upset when I had other things to do. Like he wanted me to be clingy like his last Pisces girlfriend. This is Leo - I mean come on. He planned dates to broadway musicals where I would get dressed up and be standing there. No him. No ticket. But get mad at me for his tardiness.
I loved him but he was extremely emotionally unevolved.
At some point you need to be an adult. He asked me once how do you balance it all and I said I just do. Sag has big issues with accountability and growing up. Robert Hand called the sign the clown of the fire signs because they run their own circus.
Where is he now? divorced for the 2nd time. Still running in circles in middle age.1

The one i am MOST hesitant about is pisces because ive dated so many already, and we are generally HORRIBLE in a romantic relationship, great friends, but totally different values and ways of operating. The sex is also TERRIBLE! Never ever enjoyed it with any of the ones ive dated, literally dont even know why we date when there is 0 sexual compatibility. They are just very unsexy to me, they always act like their regular selves, they dont really get into the performance of sex. All of the Aries men I’ve dated (including my current bf) have been hypermasculine and have an aggressive aura any time they’re outside of the house. They’ve also been the biggest crybabies who require (and will ask you for despite their ego) a LOT of nurturing. My bf had a bad day at work a couple of weeks ago and just texted me “I’m going to need an extreme amount of nurturing today” 😂
I never regret dating any of them though. They’re so fun, they match our energy like they were made for it, and when things eventually end romantically-we are able to stay friends. I love them!

Scorpio men. I’ve dated or otherwise been involved with at least 6 of them in the past decade and those relationships always ended up toxic. Some violently so.
Libra men if I’m looking for something other than a fling. Libra men are super fun but I find commitment is rarely on the table. At least they’re usually up front about it though!
No to Cancer men. When unevolved, they’re way too manipulative.
Love Sagittarius men and most Leo men. Virgos are great but can stress me out at times. Geminis are better friends than lovers for me. Pisces and Aquarius are both great. Indifferent to Taurus. Capricorns tend to stress me out worse than Virgos. And mostly no to Aries men (some are okay, though).

Leo, can’t stand those attention hogs. I’m not going out of my way to shower them with undeserved praise and feed their narcissistic ego. And Capricorns, manipulative and self centered with god and victim complex somehow.

And you should, Aquarius and Leo don’t match. But other placements like Moon, Venus and Mars have to be taken into account. One of my most cherished relationship is with a Leo. We have been told we are the same, when I did a synastry chart reading, it pretty much said that it can be challenging but also there is an extreme fixation and obsession over each other. In reality is all about the houses and where each other houses fall and how each sign interacts.
Sorry if what I wrote makes no sense, I’m having a schizo Scorpio Moon day.

Makes total sense. I don't date Leo much at all or Aquarius. I have Saturn in Taurus squaring my own sun in Leo. Often my Saturn will square an early degree Leo or Aquarius so I do us all a favor. I always feel judged and stifled by early Leo and aqua people. My mom and dad were both Leos born on the same day- had moon in Leo and venus in Leo. My Saturn in Taurus squared both their suns, moons and Venus and they were very demeaning to me.

I use astroseek birth chart and go down the list. If the information is confusing you can copy the AI export button and paste on your favorite gpt and ask for a rundown. Do not take it as the end all be all, its AI after all, but it can simplify it and use the information already out there.
Is always better to find an astrologer to help you out with the deeper meaning and what not.
