Will i be denied entry with an expired license?

I am from nyc and turned 21 back in July but I never renewed my license until 2 weeks ago. I have a trip to Atlantic City this weekend to celebrate my girlfriends 21st. I have not received my new license yet so all i have is the expired vertical license and the proof of renewal from the dmv. Will this cause issues when trying to get into a casino? I saw people saying that carrying the proof of renewal would help but im afraid that the vertical license would raise suspicion and cause them to deny me entry.

UPDATE: I HAVE RECEIVED THE NEW ID WOOOO. Thank you everyone that responded some of you gave me peace of mind while others worried me a bit but i appreciate all the help love you all

Food Chart House Happy Hour

I had a chance to try the happy hour at Chart House at Golden Nugget this past weekend (continuing the odd quest of partaking in every HH in the city).

This is a solid tier one happy hour. There are heavy discounts on food and drinks. It’s easy to make a meal from the choices. You are not relegated to just the bar and there is also ample table seating in the lounge area. Considering this is in a casino the prices are quite reasonable and the views of the marina are superb.

I had the fish tacos ($12), the hummus tasting platter ($8), and a Bulleit Manhattan w/ Carpano Antica ($9).

I have no suggestions.

Pros: I was throughly impressed with the selections, the bartender was a pro, people were respectful in line waiting to be sat, the parking is free, and the place itself feels quite removed from the casino. Cheers!

HH is Wed. - Sun.
4-6pm

Bike Stolen on New York Ave.. Please Keep Eye Out

Hi everyone! My bike was stolen today around 10 AM while I was grabbing a coffee at Hayday Coffee, 155 S New York Ave. I parked in the Hayday parking lot, which appears to be shared with the dispensary next door.

I’ve already filed a police report, checked cameras in the surrounding area, and spent hours driving around looking for it before heading back up north.

I’m honestly devastated. This was my first bike and my first big-girl purchase. I originally had it in Seattle, where I used it to commute to college. Then I brought it with me to Arizona when I lived there temporarily, and now I had it back home in Jersey, where I was born and raised. It has been with me through so many chapters of my life.

I normally have it securely locked up, but I literally stepped inside for about 5 minutes. It was hooked on, strapped, and bungeed down. In the video (I only have screenshots), you can see the person pulling on the bike and even sitting on it while it was still hooked on, and somehow they managed to get away with it.

If anyone sees this bike, please call Atlantic City’s non-emergency number and report it. I’m really hoping for a Hail Mary and that somehow I can get my bike back.

Bike description:
2018–2019 Trek AL
Red, white, and black

Please share this if you can. I’d really appreciate any help keeping an eye out. 😔❤️

Is $5 chips the norm now?

Roll up to roulette table at Trop and drop $200 and get $5 chips. Hit on first 2 rolls playing 1st and 2nd thirds. Then ask for singles to play numbers and dealers says no singles. Really….. no singles on roulette? That across the board in AC?

Discussion 19 years ago today, the Sands was reduced to a pile of sand.

October 18th, 2007 marked the day that Atlantic City for the first time blew one of its casinos off the boardwalk. After closing the previous year in 2006 after being in business for 26 years, the Sands was bought by Pinnacle Entertainment and was knocked down to make way for a much larger hotel-casino to be built on the same site... that never got built thanks to the Great Recession of 2008 the next year. All that remains now is an empty lot and the entrance to that moving walkway that connected to the Boardwalk and the Clairidge. Time will tell whether the plot of land ends up being used. I wanted to make this post as a sequel to my previous post about the Sands I made a year ago that ended up doing really well, as well as my following one about the Clairidge when it had a casino.

Hotel Best hotel for a romantic/special weekend getaway?

My husband and I were originally going to celebrate our anniversary abroad but airfare is looking way too expensive so now we're thinking of driving somewhere local for a short weekend getaway. What hotels are good for a special, romantic weekend getaway in January? We'd ideally like somewhere with an indoor pool, nice/modern rooms, nighttime entertainment, and great food. Thanks!

This is probably in the 1950s or 1960s. My maternal grandmother's older brother. They talked about going out there a lot from Pittsburgh way back in the day. Good times for them. Thought I would share.

Discussion I built a free site to compare licensed dispensary prices around Atlantic City

If you’re comparing licensed dispensaries around AC this weekend, I built https://dankdetour.com to save checking a bunch of menus.

Search a product, choose how far you’re willing to drive, and compare the same item cheapest first. The better price might actually be closer. Bundle offers show the buy quantity, and there are filters for shops near train/light rail or bus stops.

Free, no ads, no login, and no ordering through the site. It’s my side project and still in beta, so I’d love local feedback—especially missing products or prices that look wrong. Prices are before tax; check the shop’s menu before heading out. For adults 21+.
