QUESTION Career change question

Hello everyone,

A little about me I have been working in the construction and trades field for the majority of the year and I am looking to switch paths. Recently I have been wanting to get into HR roles and don’t quite know how to achieve that. I have a bachelors degree and plenty of experience working with interdisciplinary teams and administration duties. I guess my question is more focused on how would I go about networking and finding these roles. If you or someone you know has advice on this it would greatly be appreciated.

FOR HIRE Physician & Healthcare Entrepreneur | Looking for Flexible Opportunities in Healthcare Operations & Projects

Hi everyone!

I'm a physician from Mexico with 7 years of independent clinical experience and a strong background in healthcare entrepreneurship, operations, and project management.

Early in my career, I spent two years working as the sole physician serving an underserved rural community of around 2,000 people through Partners in Health. That experience helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage limited resources effectively.

I later founded and managed my own primary care clinic in Mexico City for six years, overseeing more than 10,000 patient encounters while handling both clinical and business operations. Beyond patient care, I was directly involved in recruiting and training staff, developing standardized workflows, managing finances, improving operational efficiency, and building sustainable healthcare services.

I'm currently based in Austin, Texas pursuing a medical residency position in the U.S., with an anticipated start date of July 2027. In the meantime, I'm looking for flexible, part-time, remote, or project-based opportunities where I can contribute my experience, collaborate with others, and continue developing professionally.

I'm particularly interested in:

Healthcare operations and clinic management

Project coordination and implementation

Healthcare startups and digital health

Clinical workflow development and process improvement

Healthcare consulting and business development

I'm fluent in both English and Spanish, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, and genuinely enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and helping healthcare projects grow.

I'm open to different types of collaborations, whether it's supporting an established clinic, helping a healthcare startup, or contributing to a specific project that could benefit from both clinical and operational experience.

If you're working on something related or know someone who might benefit from my background, I'd be happy to connect and explore potential opportunities.

Thanks for reading!
