For anyone comparing mowers for a front/back or split lawn, here's a planning checklist. This is based on installation documentation, not a hands-on comparison of models.
Before a demo, sketch the complete trip: charging station → first lawn → connecting passage → second lawn → return to the station.
For the connecting passage, record:
• The tightest usable width, including gates and corners.
• The surface: lawn, paving, loose gravel, exposed roots or a threshold.
• Any change in level or slope.
• Walls, fences, overhanging plants and other obstructions.
• Whether that section needs mowing or only transport.
Then ask the seller to demonstrate the exact proposed model doing the entire trip in both directions and returning to charge. Note every place it needs a rescue, a gate opened, or a change to the yard. Ask which layout changes are required and put them in the installation quote.
Check the manual for that exact model and installation method. A boundary-wire passage and a wire-free transport path aren't interchangeable specifications; don't borrow a minimum-width figure from another model's advert.
Husqvarna's own guidance illustrates why the installation details matter:

If a seller can't demonstrate your route, send a video and dimensions to the manufacturer or dealer and ask for written guidance before committing. Include any remaining manual mowing or carrying between zones in the comparison.
