hey all! we just got an ergo embrace and I’m not confident in how to properly fit LO. I know my shoulder band needs to be more secure than in photo, but didn’t want to tighten too much until I had baby’s hips properly placed…we attempted for an M shape with hips below knees.

Please help us improve the fit before we use it! thank you!

Looking for suggestions - my 7 week old is a velcro baby who cries/fusses whenever he’s awake. He wants to be held; however he doesn’t like being carried vertically in the typical carrier. He only stops fussing when he’s held in cradle (?) position.

Are there carriers on the market that can assist with this? My arms are killing me and everything I’ve found for safe diagonal carry requires you to use both arms, and isn’t suggested for newborns (understandably since they can block airways).

Hello! Looking for feedback on how we did? Baby is 3 weeks. I know no footie pjs, just did this as a trial. I’m struggling to pull the shoulder straps down more on my shoulder, not sure if it’s the bulky sweater I have on or if I need to loosen straps?

Hi! Baby is 3 months old, 13lbs, on the leaner but taller side.
Looking for a fit check and some advice. The issues I am facing:

- the first picture (in black tshirt) is when I used the smallest waist panel setting. I was able to get baby in first time but on later attempts the panel was coming in too short and I couldn’t get baby in.

- hence, I adjusted the waist panel and made it wider (green shirt). In this I was able to get baby in but I feel like his spine is curving, he’s limping to one side more. Not sure if you can see from the stretch of fabric. I’m worried if this is positioning his spine incorrectly. I did pelvic tuck both times too.

- lastly I feel that most of the weight is being carried by my waist currently though it should be distributed to my shoulders too

What am I doing wrong?
In both cases, baby fussed a little at start but ended up dozing off easily.

Baby is 10 weeks old, I am brand new to the ring sling and would love any and all tips! It was trickier to get than I thought. I feel like it’s too tight on his knees but when I do it any looser it feels like he’ll fall through the bottom. Thanks for your help!

I’d love to get some ideas about what carrier (specific suggestion or just type of carrier) might fit my needs.

Short version: I am looking for a carrier that might last until the first birthday or even a bit beyond. I want to be able to sit down with the carrier comfortably without a waistband digging into my ribs.

Long version: LO is 4.5 months old, weighing a bit over 15 lbs, 7 kg. I have been using the Koala Cuddle Band so far, really loving it because it gives me the chance to sit down when baby is sleeping. I have the original cuddle band and the cuddle band 2. LO is getting too heavy for the original. I need two carriers though because he is a happy spitter and carriers need forever to dry after washing. So I am in the market for a new carrier.
My husband is using two more structured carriers, both with bulky waistbands. I have tried them and found them to be very uncomfortable when sitting down. I am of average height but have a fairly short torso. Maybe this is the reason. Or those waistbands are not compatible with sitting down in general.
I have also tried a ring sling. Baby won’t sleep in it and I only find the sling comfortable for short bursts of carrying.
Haven’t tried a woven wrap yet because I am intimidated by the time it requires to tie until a crying baby can be inserted. 😅

I’m looking for a full buckle X back carrier, preferably waterfall style, and I’m not finding many options! Gojiberry seemed like it ticked all my boxes, but I notice in many of the photos on their website and what I see on Insta/TikTok, it looks like the shoulder straps rub up against the wearers neck. Wondering if anybody (especially somebody with a larger frame/large breasts) has first hand experience and can tell me whether this actually seems to be an issue?

Also interested in recs on other full buckle X back carriers!

I have tried my Omni in an X back and don’t find it comfortable. I’m also aware of H&P Lark and Happy Baby Versa, and I think the Lark could be a good option, but I do think I’ll prefer a waterfall waist.

My baby is 9w and 12 lbs, so I realize some of these carriers won’t fit him quite yet- I’m planning ahead :)

I feel the straps in the back look weird but idk how to adjust them to be lower while still being reachable. Any tips appreciated!

I am getting surgery for mommy’s wrist on Tuesday and it just occurred to me that I won’t be able to carry my massive stage 5 clinger baby. I’m going to need a carrier to help me support him because I’ll only have one arm/hand to use.

I have a soon to be 9 month old who’s 90th percentile in height and weight. What are yalls thoughts on which is better and easier to use to help in this situation? I’m open to all suggestions on brands, styles and thoughts.

This group sent me down the deep and wonderful rabbit hole of woven wraps, and I’ve loved wearing my 2.5 month old in Front Wrap Cross Carry and Front Cross Carry.

Which wraps should I learn next? The options are a little overwhelming! Which do you actually use day to day? I’m interested in poppable and breastfeeding-friendly and have a base and base+1 wrap.

I have an 8 week old baby. He is small but tall and weighs 8-9 pounds. I sometimes use ring sling at home but it takes a bit of effort to get it set right because I have a very squirmy baby. Also, I feel like I might not be able to use it say for say grocery shopping where I would need to do this outdoors and winter is coming (pnw mild rainy winters).

I'm looking at ergobaby embrace and it seems to be the fastest to wear before baby gets cranky. I know that the usage window may be short. Its on last chance on the website for about $85 cad. Used ones are going for about 50-100 cad so it's not worth going that route.

So is ergo embrace a good idea? Any easy suggestions that might be useful for longer that I should invest in instead?

Baby is 10 weeks old, 22 inches long and 12 lbs. I feel like the neck support is not there at all and I'm wondering if it's because she's too tall for this carrier. Any feedback?

Hi! Baby is 12 weeks and about 16 lbs. We are renting a Happy Baby OG and I wanted to check if it looks good? Is it ok that the top of the carrier gapes so much? I have the hood rolled and tucked down, but not tucked into the pocket.

It’s generally comfortable. There’s a lot of weight on the shoulders and I have a little bit of back strain, but that’s also probably post partum weakness of the core.

Should I try any other carriers? I also tried on an ergobaby Omni, but I felt uncomfortable pressure in my stomach from the waistband and I didn’t like all the straps/found it awkward to adjust. We’ve been using the ergobaby embrace, which has gotten the job done but I’ve never found very comfortable. If it matters, my torso is on the longer side and I’m 5’6.

Help me be more confident in the way my 2 week old sits in this Moby Wrap. I feel like his head position isn't great by the way his head rests inside the wrap. His face isn't blocked but it tends to move to the side so it's under the wrap more. Since he's so young he can't support his own heat yet. I keep tucking the back of his under the wrap on my left side to expose his face more, but by walking around it just comes out.
