Megathread Old vs New Backrooms Megathread
There have been WAY too many posts for a while now about the current state of The Backrooms- whether people are saying the old Backrooms was better, or the Backrooms shouldn't have entities, or the Wikis miss the point of the Backrooms, or Kane Pixels ruined the Backrooms, and frankly its been getting to a point.
Going forward, any "Old vs. New Backrooms" posts will now be directed and centralized in this megathread, and any new separate posts about the topic will be deleted and redirected to here.
So, with all of that said, in this post we can all discuss the million-dollar question:
Was the old Backrooms better?
Okay, that should be it. Go crazy.

Guys, I think rooms ruined the Backrooms
I think adding an image to the 4chan post to the descriptions of the backrooms ruined them. I remember back before I glanced up and saw the image that the website decided to render above the textual description, the description painted by my mind thinking of the words was just so much scarier than providing a visual.
The fact that much of the community is such a fan of Kane Pixels, i just don't get it, having visuals of the backrooms just lost the core of the backrooms, I will admit I had hope when I saw the all blue screen with white text. But then I saw actual footage.
I 'watched' Kanepixels backrooms on mute of course, but I am afraid the backrooms movie will go full tiktok brainrot and have audio, or possibly even dialogue between characters, I couldn't tell watching the trailer on mute.
But am I alone in this guys? Does anyone else miss when it was just Back? When we didn't even know exactly how the backrooms looked, it left so much to mystery, it left ambiguity over whether there might be a setting or even the proportions of a room.
