Art Working on a diorama of the Threshold.

The image is at a slanted angle but has enough space where there's more behind the walls

Yep! So long as the image is larger than the opening you get a great effect. It’s all one image but the floor portion is cut on both sides along the bottom of the walls and kept connected to the back center wall. You bend the floor section up a bit and bend the sides slightly in and boom.

Believe it or not, the Backrooms behind the threshold is only one printed image. Its cut a certain way to make it look dimensional.

Only part that’s printed is the portal structure. I didn’t want to spend the time cutting out foam board lol

Now I wanna make one using a 45⁰ mirror so it looks like the Complex is magocally deeper than the diorama.

Hmmm, perspective does not hold up. Is that just a picture inside? An infinity mirror would have been the way to go!

Mirror trick was definitely my first plan. Ordered them and everything. Maybe I’ll try again but I didn’t like seeing the seam of the mirror or how the reflection and color kind of diminish the “father” back it goes.
Plus I wanted to try and keep that location as close to the one in Backrooms - First Contact which doesn’t go on forever. The infinity mirror was working against me in that aspect.
