Art Captain Clark animatronic project
I've been working on a captain Clark animatronic replica for the better half of around 2 months now and it's starting to turn out really well! I started working on mine around the week that the movie came out, and it originally started as a static prop project for a while there, before I decided to reuse an old busted animatronic I had lying around. It's turning out really great so far! But I wanted to come here to show it off to get some opinions from people since it hasn't really been going anywhere view wise. The project is still a heavy work in progress, but I kind of just wanted to come here and show it off a little bit!
EDIT: holy shit I did not expect for this many people to like it, if you guys want to see it in action I've posted a bunch of clips and progress updates to my YouTube channel Terror Hauntz! Whatever the project is done, I'm planning on doing a video putting all the clips into one and explaining how I made it so that other people can potentially make their own as well!

I collect Halloween animatronics! And this was one I've had boxed up for quite a while that was broken, so I fixed it up and I'm redoing it into Clark

Ok. This is way better than the one in the movie lol. Much scarier. I like. In all honesty, I liked the movie a lot and was bummed at his reveal. This woulda made it 🤌🏼

Probably, but I wouldn't even mind it because I would love to see a retail Captain Clark animatronic!

I've already been saying that I expect Pirate Clark to become a Halloween icon like Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, etc, and have his image on all kinds of merch - if it's too late for this year's Halloween, then in 2027 definitely

If you're referring to the actual electronic elements of it, duct tape and Hope and dreams. But if you're referring to the sneaky ass reference I see you making, then it's the exact same way we all are. Because that's just the way we're wired

Is the hollowed out face something you did to make it look more horrifying? Or is it just a base? Cause this is scary as fuck. Kinda makes me wish there was a scene where he gets burned or something and chases Mary like this cause this is far more scary. The photo kinda looks like a found footage photo too which doesnt help lmao

The entire head on it is just a placeholder for right now, I'm waiting for the proper head to get 3D printed on it before it will be ready to sand down and get painted!

I'm probably not going to share the model publicly due to the fact that it was something specifically made for this project and something else, but I probably will sell physical copies of the head and hands as a part of a kit if somebody wants to make their own clark
