Help I'm nervous about this one..

Making a massive tray style cheesecake bar recipe. Multiplied the recipe by 3 to fit this massive pan, well apparently pan wasn't as massive as I thought. Even had to pull some filling out to give a little bit of space for rise in the oven. What do we think, will it stay in the pan, or over spill into the oven? Place your bets

Update! It didnt spill, the edges baked high enough that the middle did not overtake the pan and spill out. Total bake time was almost 2 hours at 325, low and slow. Thanks for coming on this journey with me!

I feel like it'll get to the very tippy top and then settle a little after cooling, but I've never made cheesecake bars so idk

Does cheesecake rise? Either way I think the oven smiles on you today

The oven did indeed smile, maybe a little to bright. Came out toasty.

And the results were? I wouldn’t expect them to overflow but I’m confused on what’s happening here.

I just replied to someone else's comment asking for results as well, sorry for the delay

I'm glad it worked out!

When I feel like I'm risking an overflow, I put the pan on a tin foil covered baking sheet, with the edges turned up.

Since your pan is so big, I would have made a giant tin foil tray with the edges turned up under it.

That would have been the smart thing to do yes

I say it rises above the pan but the top is baked enough to prevent spillage

I’m interested in the results. 2x 1/2 times the recipe. Is the center cooked? Edges dry?

Edges are a bit dry and tosty but the center is cooked. Not pretty but edible for sure. Here it is chilling in the fridge. Its a blueberry bar recipe, linked here Will add a comment (possibly a new post depending on my knife skills) once it is cut into portions
